My Blu-ray player is not showing any display after updating the firmware

After updating your device's firmware to ver 1004, your Blu-ray player may not show any display. Some of the affected models are LG TVs and Samsung K series. To view the display, try the following steps.

 

For Samsung TV

 

This will occur if the selected HDMI Color Format is not set to Auto.

 

 .   

 

In order for you to view the display you will need to set your Samsung TV's HDMI Color Format to Auto.

 

To set the HDMI Color Format to Auto follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: In the Home Screen, using the arrows on your TV's remote navigate and select Settings then press the OK button.

Step 2: Select Picture.

 

.

 

 

Step 3: Then select 3D Settings or Settings.

 

.

 

 

Step 4: Select HDMI Color Format.

 

.

 

 

Step 5: Select Auto.

 

.

 

 

For LG TV 

You won't be able to see the display if the HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color is set to ON.

 

Follow these steps to set the HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color to OFF:

 

Step 1:  Go to Settings and select Picture.

 

Step 2: Select HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color.

 

Step 3: Set to HDMI (port no.) to OFF.
