The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

Integrating the apps and system with the new AI gives the ability to conceive, plan and execute my calendar, tasks, and events on time. This is due to the sharing of data, notifications and productivity files. The camera is also a step up as the pictures are sharp and well organized. The flip feature is to my liking as it gives me a simple, small, fit in pocket phone I can unobtrusively carry and use it folded for quick calls, texts, etc. When opened, the Z-Flip 8 pro idea a broader landscape to view articles, watch videos, and compose e-mail or letters.

I can fit is into my pockets and it doesn't slide out; Yet I have all the real estate of a larger size phone-- and a bit more that the prior z flip series without losing the convenience of the smaller folded size. I haven't had it long, but everything just seems slicker and some new features. Love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 6 to a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 8 and the differences are very impressive. The camera is much improved and the battery life feels a lot better. I love the amount of care and thought Samsung gave to the external screen, what you can do now on the outside is so impressive it's almost like having two phones in one. The color is also very nice with the pink tone. Also the opening and closing now is much better than before it has a more satisfying click when it opens and closes. Samsung also continues to do an incredible job with the crease in the screen when the Z Fold 8 is opened.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a flip fan since it came out and Ichose to wait for this phone as my upgrade for all the new features and design. To start the design is great, the new features phenomenal. The Battery, well it sucks. I set up the phone and turned off all the addition stuff I don't normally use. Then I set up the power saving mode. Finally I'm not a huge user of apps just basic stuff. Im an older person so I'm not on tiktok/Insta/or any of the other social media. I play one game. My previous phone the flip 4 i would easily get 4 days out of the battery with regular use. This one im getting just over 2 at best. I can literally go to bed with it at 100% battery and wake up with it between 85 and 88% left. I guess the new AI features are eating up the battery but I dont even really use that. I have figured out how to fully turn that off to see if the battery life improves or not.

The design is easier to handle, lighter and thinner. The quality on image is amazing and the sofware and transfer very user friendly. I am very satisfied that I chose the Flip8.

The size compared to the Flip 7 is the same, but the hinge feels so much smoother. I have upgraded yearly since the Flip 3 and dont regret it! I love the small size for women's tiny pants pockets!

I switched to the Flip 6 upon its launch, and I just received a new Flip 8. As someone who loves to stream videos and music, I appreciate the improved screen quality on the Flip 8 with no visible screen crease on the interior screen due to the titanium upgrade. The slightly larger overall size is a better fit for my hand while still compact enough to fit comfortably and securely in my pockets. I am using Gemini vs. Google assistant and it's a game changer for instant access to facts, information and tasking. Overall I am quite pleased with the Galaxy Flip 8 and if it's to be, future Galaxy Flip phones

I wanted to try a flip smart phone and after playing with a different kind for a bit, I found myself missing Samsung, whom I'd been with since 2006 when I got my first android phone. The quality is unmatched. No issues, the response is very quick and I have not had a single experience with the z flip 8 that hasn't been excellent. I highly recommend this phone as it's kind of like having 2 in one. A flip phone where you can use the outer screen for basically every function you'd need but you can also flip it open like the s series phones and get a different phone experience. A+ as always! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Galaxy Z Flip8 is everything I hoped for. I chose the Z Flip series because of its compact size. The Z Flip5 was the first one I owned, and I hadn't upgraded until now. This new model is much thinner and a little wider. It's an obvious improvement over three generations, so it feels great and is noticeably faster. The battery lasts much longer, which is very important to me because I use my phone for work. The camera is also an improvement, although I wish it were as good as the Galaxy Note's. Still, the compact size is what matters most to me. I can't give a complete review of the phone yet because I just started using it, but it's definitely a huge improvement over my last one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to go back to a Samsung flip phone after trading in my Flip 5 for an S25 Ultra. I loved my Ultra but I love the flip so much more. It's cute, it's compact, and I can open and shut it. I also prefer the keyboard and the size of the phone since it is easier for me to type and handle. I almost got the Flip 7 for the gorgeous cobalt blue color (GBA SP nostalgia), but then we I found out they were releasing a pink Flip 8 I had to wait. The color is absolutely stunning and I am beyond happy with it. I also think the screen on this phone is a noticeable improvement from my Ultra 25. All in all I am incredibly happy with my purchase and I am going to stick with the Z line in the future!

After two years of my wife and I taking these phones all over the world, we are both huge fans of Flip's. I chose to upgrade to the Z Flip 8 because I appreciate advanced technology and features. The Flip 8 is still at a reasonable price point while offering many advantages even the Fold line doesn't offer. The size and feather light package are everything. This phone does it all, yet fits in spaces so small there just isn't any other device that compares. My favorite feature however, is to be able to plug in a little fan and set it on the table and be cool with my cool Flip phone. My friends are always envious over that trick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am disabled and the flip phones come in handy fit in the pockets better I have been a flip phone user for a long time now the Z flip 8 is a great phone the only thing I have is on the cover screen pressing the home button does not return you to the lock screen. The lock screen should be the home page like it was on a Z flip 7 the good lockk app should have its own card or the app card should hold more, be full card itself. I haven only had the Z flip 8 for a few days now still looking at everything that has to offer but I have noticed that a lot of things have become much better

The customizations seem endless, and I can really tailor my phone to match my personality. The camera is also good, as I record videos and take pictures often. I love the extra display on the front, especially when others are taking photos of me; I can see what I look like in the photo and adjust if needed. This phone has been a hit with my group of girl friends. I chose the Flip8 because I thought the features, size, and functionality fit my needs.

Cover display also got much bigger and resolution is really good. Before I only use it for check time or notification but now I can actually do more thing on it. One more thing, when I take photo using cover screen (for selfie with main camera), the preview looks more clear and sharp than Flip6. I don't know why but it just look better quality now. Overall I'm happy I upgrade

The compact size when folded is very practical for me. The Flip 8 is a great extension to this line. I use it for calls and text and music and the cover screen handles this easily along with most functions I need. Home automations and routines are handled easily without even opening my phone. Phone feels solid in operation and operating system is flawless. Again I wish to emphasize the compactness while have the use of a full size top tier smartphone for ALL of my needs.

Wow, not even sure where to start. All I am gonna say is if you want something practical, simple, yet advanced, LOOK NO FURTHER. The Z Flip 8 is a very nice phone. Amazing display, battery is not so bad whatsoever. No need to worry about the hinges when folding, it folds perfectly. The perfomance is exceptional, better than my S25 Ultra which was my previous phone. Get yourself a case, make it more durable but when getting this phone note that you are gonna need to be extra careful with it, as with any phone. You get used to the folding quickly if this is your first Flip. Might have to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra as well 😆. But yes, durability must be considered. Great for making space in your pocket 😆.

The previous iterations were not exactly what I wanted in a flip phone until now. I am so glad I chose the flip 8 in pink! The color is gorgeous. We need more cute colors like this! I hate the bland color options that have been previously offered. Aside from that the phone is just as reliable as all the previous Samsung offerings I have had (note 9, s23 ultra). I love that this phone is so cute and compact. I can do many things from the half screen itself which is very pleasing. The food in the screen is definitely not as noticeable as previous flips. This phone also gives me so much nostalgia as my first phone was a 2000s flip phone. I'm very happy with it!

I chose to do it now while my trade in value was good and the changes to device size, battery, cameras, made it a good time to move forward. I was amazed a delighted with the ease of transferring my phone service Sim card to the e-card and that I can securely lock it. Also, for the first time on any phone, my finger print registered and actually works. I've only had it for 3 days so I'm sure there are many new things to discover. This is my third Z Flip. I owned a z flip 7 before, and although the new phone mainly has quality of life improvements over the old phone, it feels like a nice upgrade. More can be done on the cover screen now, and the screen looks slightly sharper. The phone can also get brighter than the previous gen. I think these upgrades were worth it, but if you are tight on money and have the z flip 7, I would wait for the next one to come out before upgrading.

Even when I'm working, I can slightly flip the phone and keep it for video mode on without having to rely on anything else. My hands don't get tired of holding the phone. Plus Z flip 8 has some a cute feature of choosing multiple pictures for the lock screen, which helps me put pictures of my loved ones and reminds me of them whenever I look at my phone. Additionally, the phone is so light, the screen feels extremely good different and smooth. Even after flipping the phone, it doesn't show the line. Samsung has taken phones to some other level. Crazily in love with my new phone.

The first thing I noticed was how much thinner and more refined it feels. It’s noticeably more comfortable to hold and carry, while still keeping everything I loved about the Flip form factor. The biggest improvement for me, though, is the battery life. With my Flip 6, I was always keeping an eye on the battery throughout the day. With the Flip 8, I can use my phone all day without constantly worrying about finding a charger. That alone has made a huge difference in everyday use. Overall, the Flip 8 feels like a much more polished and mature version of the Flip. It may look like an incremental upgrade on paper, but the thinner design and improved battery life make a surprisingly big difference in daily use. I’m very happy I upgraded. So worth it.

It's getting better and better; however, all my previous devices experienced cracked screen (affect display) at the boundary of approx 2 yrs of use. I hope the new one can last longer.

Overall greatly enhanced experience! Able to do a lot more on cover screen and the device is thinner and lighter (slightly wider, though). The screen quality is also noticeably better. I chose the Z Flip series over Razr because I'm more used to the Samsung system. I'm so happy they finally expanded the cover screen to surround the camera lenses on the Flip 7 and 8 like the Razr series has had for yesrs already.

So far the screen and hinge from this phone are way better then the previous models. I love these phones so much because they fit in the smallest of pockets and my tiny purses which is really nice for traveling. This phone has honestly made traveling to different countries so much easier because it is so easy to hide and the battery lasts all day long. Once it came is, I was suprised how thin, sleek and clean the design was for the Z Flip 8. Only downside is the wait time for transfering data, but this wasn't the case. Took ubder 30 kinutes to get all info transfered from my S25 Ultra to the Z Flip 8. The camera is nice, amazing display. I actually prefer the FHD+ display this phone has. Less strain on my eyes. I love how you can access certain apps like Spotify when folded. Feels like an advanced MP3 player. If you decide on this phone, you won't regret it. Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold Ultra all have their own thing. Either or, you will not be disappointed. Get it!

The display reacts to my touch much faster and smoother than my last phone. I purchased the suitcase cover as well and love the look and the fit. I chose the mint green color this time around and love the color! I love the flip phone because it fits easily in my pocket and isn't protruding into my hip when I sit down like a standard phone which is taller. Well done Samsung!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my Z Flip 5 to the new Z Flip 8 as I was curious about upgrades. The camera is comparison is sharper with more features and the screen is also larger. It is (as advertised) quite thin and there is very little crease that is not noticeable when looking at the screen. Everything transitioned extremely smoothly from phone to phone and the mint color is very nice. The cover screen is fully functional now. My only complaint is that the hinge is much tighter than the Z Flip 5, and seems to "spring" open once the angle is great enough. This paired with the thin phone makes it a bit cumbersome to open as I feel like it could slip out of my hands, and I am hesitant to open it with only one hand. Other than this, I am quite satisfied.
