[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been waiting a long time to see a truly crease-less foldable phone, and the Z Fold 8 Ultra definitely didn’t disappoint. When using the phone, you really can’t see the crease, and even when the screen is off, it’s barely noticeable. My first impression was honestly WOW! 🤩 I was a little scared at first because the phone is incredibly thin, and I wondered how durable it would be. But after using it, I’ve realised it feels much more solid and durable than I expected. Despite being so thin and lightweight, it doesn’t feel fragile at all. Samsung has really done an amazing job with the design, and so far I’m loving the experience.

The reason for this is that I want to keep the software up to date, as well as the new phone's features. The phone itself is stunning. It is significantly faster and offers better viewing. It operates much more smoothly than the old Z Fold 3 that I have. However, I discovered that the security patch remains set for June 2024, even though my Z Fold 3 security patch has already been upgraded to August 2024. It is a little disappointing, but perhaps it is just a bug. In summary, upgrading from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to the Z Fold 6 is worthwhile since you will notice significant improvements.

It is no doubt the the inner big screen enhanced productivity for work as I need to constantly using two apps at the same time. The new AI function especially the Bixby text call helps to eliminate spam calls. The writing composer is also great for writing formal emails with more professional words which overcome the language barriers when English is not the first language.
Some improvement on this phone would be to improve camera resolutions and better screen aspect ratio to justify the premium price. Overall this is more than just a phone when opened the inner screen.

It's great for me because I only have a phone and no other devices like tablet or laptop. I use my phone for absolutely everything. From reading to writing to singining documents and even spreadsheets! This phone has unlocked great opportunities for me to be able to do these things on a bigger screen than what I normally would have on my previous Galaxy Note. Great invention Samsung. Well done! Other great things include: split screen with ease, battery life is the best of the best, would last 1.5 full days without a charge, clear screen, smooth use of SPen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my fifth Galaxy Fold and is certainly the best so far. Love the multi tasking features especially now tih extra AI. Battery life is still a bit of a challenge (I don't mind thinker if I get longer between rechargers) I also wish there was a dedi cated slot for the S Pen which I use a lot. The Samsung S Pen case is OK but not brilliant. The this strip of the frame case separates from the front screen after a period of use as the adhersive striv is very narrow. The S Pen sometyimes falls out of the S Pen holder. The Fold is built for multi tasking, the S Pen makes multi tasking so much easier. PLEASE make a dedicated slot for the S Pen in the actual phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the phone however I do have some issues with the battery, i just seems to drain so quickly and I get about 6 and a half hour of screen time. It doesn't last me a day and i'm worried that it'll get progressively worse as time goes on. On the positive side i love the thinner tall and slim design which is perfect one had use operation. I do the ability to open up the phone and essentially have a mini tablet and the Dex feature is really useful as I was sorting my files and documents. The phone fast and well built...(so far), my only issue is the battery! I dislike the push for the AI features and honestly only upgraded my phone due to the slimmer design!

I really love how beneficial that the AI features such as live translation with both screens, live translation on phone calls and circle nd search anything we want to know. Quality of the screen quality is improved and also the phone looks more slim now which is very comfortable with handling and carrying. Overall, I am impressed with all the features and specs. I would recommend this phone anyone who really looks forward to have a big screen phone with a powerful processor, multitasking and AI features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Fold 1 finally succumbed after I dropped it after 6 years 9f faithful service. I loved that phone.
Naturally I replaced it with a Z Fold 6.
The migration process was faultless and painless. The only advice I can offer is to make sure both phones are fully charged as it can take awhile.
The only thing I don't like is updates where they change the colours and designs of app icons and move things like search bars around. Now I actually have to focus and read the wording to know what app I'm looking for. It's unnecessarily tedious.
Hopefully I get used to it again soon, but until then I feel pain.

I have been samsung user all my life and had the s22ultra before this so noticeable difference was the screen size it is huge and have very nice colour contract. Also the fold 6 have the square edge which i like better than the round one plus it is lighter and have very efficiend battery consumption than its previous models.
The only thing it set me bit back was the camera which is not good as the ultra series but other than that the battery, screen size, ai features and all the other updates is soo good and highly recommended.

The camera quality is nearly on par with my old s24 ultra ! This phone is a must have if you're in to your technology! Reading articles and books on this phone is where it really excels ! Even the integrated ai with photo editing is fun to use. You won't regret getting this phone. Only downside is that I'm scared that I'm going to break it

The cameras don't wow like the Samsung Ultra series however they're more than capable for my day to day photos and videos.
I'm a big fan of Galaxy AI, whilst some features such as the Portrait Studio where it converts a portrait photo into an AI interpretation of a person in different style is quite novel, i am keen to see where the AI capabilities can be flushed out into more meaningful day to day applications. I really enjoy using the S-pen on the larger inner screen and it's an experience that I've enjoyed since the Z Fold3.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The slight change on the outer screen size actually made me use the outer screen a lot more than I did with the fold 5, which is unexpected but great. On software everything is improved and refined compare with the fold 5, zero difficulty transitioning from the fold 5. The crease is smaller in depth and wideness, therefore feels less obvious overall.
I don't use a case so the 14 gram weight reduction feels obvious to me, feels better in hand, thickness reduction of 1.3mm (to 12.1 mm when foled) is barely noticeable though, it would be perfect if they can reduce it below 10 mm, other foldable phones have achieved it so I hope Samsung can do it next year, will upgrade straight away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Samsung fan since I had my Samsung S2 and I never looked back and when the Z fold series came out, I was a bit hesitat to try it so it took me a bit of time to jump on board and I started with fold 4 and loved it straight away, love the functionality of the phone, I do play games like fortnite and call if duty on the phone and I think Samsung fold is the best phone to play those games, now I am using the fold 6 and loving every bit of it, and the way Samsung kept improving the Fold series every year, it's mind blowing, I guess I am not changing my phone to anything else, anytime soon.

The screens are great - it is going to be hard to return to a 'normal' phone now that I have tried this foldable. Neutral: The AI additions are a nice touch, but perhaps not as useful in day-to-day situations. Cons: The cameras are not up to what I would expect for a phone of this price. Battery life has not been great. One definitely needs a powerbank if on the go. In summary, a good phone, though could have been an excellent phone at a different (lower) price point.

Was worried about the crease in the middle but like a lot of people have said, you don't really notice it while you're using it.
The camera is great, the pictures have been clear and great quality. Especially photos taken in the dark, without the flash.
I didn't think having a fordable phone would make that much of a difference in everyday use but I don't think I could go back to a normal phone after this

Though the cover screen width improved slightly it definitely feels more easy to use. With all the foldable phones out there I feel the Z Fold6's build quality is unmatched. The premium feel and beauty of this device really speaks to Samsung's attention to detail. Above all else, the software experience in its unfolded form is way more feature rich and offers a lot more in terms of productivity and multitasking. I only wish for Samsung to keep improving on the slimness and lightness of the device next with pro-level cameras (S24 Ultra) and a bigger battery in next year's model. And perhaps lower the price :)

The crease is barely noticeable unless you're looking at it from an angle and is only slightly noticeable by touch. I'd suggest getting the official cases that Samsung provides as third party cases are often too tight around the phone and leave scratches or don't do as intended. The only thing I would change is the width of the device as I struggle to use the keyboard on the front screen due to it being too narrow.

Have had this phone since release in 2024 and have had 0 issues thus far. Both screens work smoothly, and the phone is extremely durable (have dropped it on many occasions, with and without a case).
I'm making a review almost 2 years later because last night I dropped the phone in a bonfire by accident and it took me about 30+ seconds to get it out. I expected it to blow up or at the very least for the screens to crack or something to happen but nada, the phone survived without a single scratch.
Otherwise, I absolutely use the crap out of the phone for work, the fact that we can split screens in so many ways makes it super easy and productive.
Samsung has never let me down yet - from household products to phones.

The ability to multitask across multiple apps is truly fantastic and it handles ultra-wide USB-c screen like a champ almost eliminating my need for a PC. When using the S-pen I really like the smart select function and the ability to write across the whole big screen. But most of all with the bright wide screen I can easily show my screen to friends and with a decent screen size and a bit of pinch and zoom I don't need my glasses!

However still too many shortcomings: battery is too small, charging is too slow, no integrated S pen (S pen case makes it too thick), and can't use S Pen on front screen, and finally, the camera is extremely low quality. Unfortunately I decided to stick with my S24U for now, and would love to go back to a Fold if an Ultra version were to be released

Pros: perfect one handed use with slightly bigger front screen but definately more usable irl with typing messages, lightweight, modern square off and symetric design, carrying the same aesthetic as pervious Folds in a slim, refined package. Cons: need cameras upgrade and potential slimmer profile - still feel like holding a slim brick, very sharp and pointy corners around the hinge hurt the hand palm while holding a little.

I was skeptical in the start as it was my first foldable phone but I have loved this.
Specially when you open the phone it feels like you have a very good TAB.
Multitasking has become much easier for me with using 2 apps at same time.
Ai Features have made picture editing very smooth. Haven't tried other Ai features till now.
Camera is also very good you just need to know the right settings with the scene and camera will give you a very good result.
Gaming has become more fun with Fold 6.
I'd say I was worried after spending that kind of money but I'd say it's worth it atleast for me.
Again it depends from a person to person. Coming to a foldable was a change for me and I have loved the change

It is a great size folded up, not too big to hold or put in my pocket, yet still big enough to see my socials and email. The real benefit is when I open it up, the screen provides amazing viewing for video, photos and email attachments. I really missed the form factor of the fold, especially when folded, compared to the ridiculously huge S23. And yet the unfolded fold has much better screen real estate. So I was very happy to hear about the Fold 6, which I now have. It really is beautifully designed and the quality is impeccable. Camera not as fancy as S23, but I don't miss it. As soon as you take it out the box, you know that you have a product with a premium feel to it. The corners are squared off compared to the round corners on the Fold5 which I think is awesome. The AI features are really fun to use when editing photos or summarising Web pages. I can't see myself using a non fold phone moving forward. Hoping the front screen on upcoming Z series models will be wider like the S series.

The fold needs a case to have the s pen (no one built pen like the ultra). The rims of the case make using the folded small screen hard to hit the edges to drag out the menue.
The camera bump and case is not flat. So placing the phone on the table to write is not possible without the phone rocking back and forth.
The phone cameras are decent... but really slow compared to my old s22 ultra. I find that alot more of my photos have motion blur.... hoping maybe software update might compensate?
I still like this phone as it fills a niche, however the price is the same as a high end laptop, if I didn't claim it as a full business expense upfront it's hard to justify.

I do a tonne of sketching and digital painting which is perfect on the folds larger screen, the crease is barely noticeable and the display is flawless. Minor gripe would be battery life is not quite on par with the S23 ultra but it's s trade-off I'm willing to make for all of the other benefits. Highly recommended!

Having something I can take out of my small pocket to then open up and get such a large area of display space. Multitasking is such a breeze and the phone handles it really well.

I'm really enjoying my new fold 6. Biggest improvement for me is the bigger more usable front screen. All these reviews comparing this fold 6 to other folding phones don't mention the major advantages of buying the Samsung, such as best software, with software updates for years. Plus warranty. I wouldn't buy a Chinese phone with questionable warranty.

The maps walkng instructions, paired through the samsung earbuds gives me the freedom to navigate my way around unassisted with just my cane. Samsung has continued to give me more and more reasons to leave my home PC unplugged between Dex and split screen modes. There are even days where I find myself watching media on my Fold with its side firing stereo speakers instead of going into my dedicated home theatre space. The biggest gripe I have with the Fold series is the lack of included SPen that I loved on my S22 Ultra and the telephoto camera lens for those long zoom shots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shifting from the Z Fold 3 that I've been using for the past 3 years to the Fold 6 has been an excellent experience. The camera images are crisp and sharp with an excellent zoom, the wider front screen improves usability as well as compatibility for certain apps and I love the sharper edges of the titanium frame. The crease is still present and noticeable on the large internal display, however it is not a distraction at all when content is actively displayed on screen. The under screen camera is still atrocious and only usable for video calls with your relatives, the camera bump is almost as thick as the rest of the device and app support can still be rather choppy, but these issues are all manageable and don't take away from my love for this device. I'm a folding fan for life.

I am glad I took the plunge as it has been a great experience after coming from the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, the Fold 6 is was faster, smoother and such a joy to use. As I am getting older, just turned 60, my eyes are starting to let me done so having the option to quickly open the phone and view things on a larger scale is so much better, all in all I am very glad that I purchased this phone and if it lasts as well as my Note 20 then I will be very happy. Just taking an age to get used to all the new functions I now have at my finger tips but it is a fun journey.

Love the apps seamlessly going between the cover screen and the fold.
The speakers are great, I do like the phone screen being a little less wide, making it easier to use the phone single handedly.
The only downside is the price making it a bit tough to swallow being able to justify the product. Otherwise I feel like it would be hard from me to go back to phones that aren't folds

It's great for reading and consuming media of all types. Due to the larger screen it's understandable the battery wont last as long as normal phones but I can easily get a day and a half out of a single charge. (who doesn't charge they phone every night anyway). I still haven't gotten around to trying out all the new AI features yet as there's so many of them.

Great picture and sound quality. Sometimes I miss my S-pan. But I saw there are some mobile covers available with S-pen options, so that should be alright. The best thing is whenever you want your phone will become a tablet.

The matte metallic finish feels great in the hand, and, in folded form, the weight is just enough to know when it's in your pocket.
I could wax poetic about the nifty AI features or how I've not picked up my tablet or laptop since getting this phone, but those are just extra conveniences.
The best part of this phone is when I am at dinner with mum. She doesn't have her glasses because she never has her glasses (even when they're sitting on her head). We talk about our days, our news, our friends and our family. I unfold my phone and show her the newest pictures of her grandchildren. She doesn't need to reach for glasses that aren't there. The moment never breaks.

The weight, the unfolded screen size, being long and thin and the battery was a little light.
All of these have been fixed with the fold 6. Not many reviews pointed out the big improvements from the fold 5 to the 6. But they are night and day for a user of previous folds.
The clear cover, though thin and pretty, is super slippery. Maybe needs so rubber around the device or the rim plastics with some form of grip.

It folds out to a good big size suitable for looking at pictures or watching video or movies. Picture quality is great and photography is very easy with it. The size and quality mean you don't miss any details of whatever you view on it and photos come out exactly as you want them to.
One caveat is that you must get a screen protector for it immediately. I didn't and it got a small chip on the screen on one side.

It's lightweight compared with tablets. The folding feature is space saving in the pocket or bag.
The improvements needed are the glass strength against scratches or a film over the screens would benefit from the protection. The battery life is an inconvenience, battery packs are a must carry, if you use your device a lot. Also, there are apps that aren't compatible with the larger screen and are difficult to navigate.
These are minor and liveable inconveniences. Easy to get around. Overall I love my fold and would keep with the fold brand for my next smart device.

The fold screen also unfolds to be completely flat where my Fold4 never managed to do that. Only downside so far is the battery life is not as good as my Fold4 was even after 2 years of use. I'm hoping that will change after a couple of updates. Cost wise it was disappointing to move back to a 512GB as the cost increase put the 1TB out of range.

I am using the front screen a lot more and it is still compact but not cramped. The big screen allows me, as an accountant to navigate around documents on the go and review work. Also, it was hard to get anything done under warranty - the inside of the screen cracked where the fold was, and I was told it was because I dropped it.
Firstly, I have the biggest case made by Samsung.
Secondly, I have not dropped it.
Thirdly - the crack is ALONG THE FOLD ON THE INTERNAL SCREEN.
Now in again as the fingerprint reader has stopped working.

Getting to have a phone and tablet in one. I'm surprised when I open this phone infront of a co-worker the other day and she was gobsmacked. Always feel fancy opening this in line or anywhere and enjoying the bug screen. My wish for next year's fold to include a fold 7 ultra, bigger - same height as 24ultra, keep it narrow to mirror a phone open, s24ultra cameras and a built in s pen and battery bump. My only con with the device is laying it down flat on a table I feel the camera bump causes the phone to not ne open fully flat so I'd love to see that fixed next year with a tighter open flat hing. I've bought nearly a phone every year since the s3 and can't wait for samsung to do what they do best and put an ultra into the fold.

After a month of using, it I am very impressed with its performance and camera.
I have loved not carrying a tablet for the times I need a larger screen.
Friends have also found it awesome to use and have purchased a device also.

Loved the 5 but the 6 is now next level - charges super fast (the 5 was no slouch either), super long battery life and love the expansion of the screen when needed. Superb as a portable - multi media device! Currently watching the NBA finals on the go when not screen casting to our TV...Had soooo many Peeps say to me when out and about, "gotta get me one of those!"

Feedback: I traded in my zflip4 which was in good working condition but had minor screen peel off issues at the crease and Asurion only gave me $15 for the phone.
Samsung rewards: I unfortunately haven't received my Samsung rewards for this order and unsure as to why not.

Very hard to find something more competitive in this space, the pixel fold does look intriguing though. So far I'm loving all aspects of this phone, durability is better, cameras perform well (my guess is AI is improving my shots), battery will get me through a day. Highly recommend if you want a foldable, slab phone recommendation would be the s24ultra for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Z fold series Galaxy phone now. The Z fold 6 is better than the 5 in the size and thickness. The ability to see pages full screen like a tablet is great. Android 15 is definitely an improvement, BUT, this phone needs a bigger, better battery. Other Galaxy devices have bigger batteries with only one screen, why is this? The sound is great with 2 speakers. I'd recommend this phone if you like big screens.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I came from a Z Fold 4, the Z6Fold definitely feels nice in your hand and more practical with the screen size adjustments, especially with the front screen.
Internal wise, operating system and functionality feels the same, not much speed difference. I'm still getting the same amount of lag in some apps and multi tasking as my Z4Fold.
Worth the extra?
Feels like I paid the premium price for the change in dimensions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Swapped in my Samsung s24 for my first fold phone and have to say, it has been well worth it. I am someone who likes to multitask and play games and using the fold6 with 12gb of ram, has allowed me to do exactly that.
I thought the line in the middle would be annoying, but if you view it directly in the right position, you can't see it due to the screen lights.
The only negative I have is that the camera in the double screen, is pretty bad - but you wouldn't be using that camera as much compared to the main one in the front and the back; the fold actually allows you to take high quality selfies but using the main back camera which is so cool as you show the camera app on both sides of the screen.
In regards to gaming, the large screen size unfolded is great for playing gamess such as Genshin or ZZZ and really makes gameplay more immersive on a mobile device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is absolutely nothing wrong with my Z Fold 3 - I have kept it as a backup phone. It was just after three years it was time for a refresh. The switch to the Z Fold 6 was seamless and the new hardware has restored battery life, is quicker compared to the Z Fold 3, improved photo capability and the new feature set is providing workflow benefits on top of my original Z Fold 3. Overall very happy with the uplift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first fold phone. I traded in my S22+ and the first thing i noticed was the fold has a smaller foot print easier to put into a pocket. With the loss of screen size gains are made when the phone is opened. messaging and some social media makes use of the front screen but multimedia usage on the main open screen is magnificent. It is great having the choice of realestate size for all viewing types

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was originally so disappointed when yet again, Samsung stuck with this overly narrow aspect ratio. So much so I switched to the Google Pixel fold to finally get a proper hardware experience. I did however miss the Samsung Folds much better UI. I came back to the Fold 6 as Samsung UI for folding phones is far superior, however I am seriously waiting for Samsung to adopt a 21:9 aspect ratio on the outer screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon unboxing, the phone is immediately beautiful, featuring a large, foldable screen and a convenient, pre-installed screen protector. The folding and unfolding action feels great. When lit, the screen displays stunning graphics, and the crease seems to vanish. While it is pen-compatible, it would be significantly improved if the pen offered integrated storage within the phone body, much like the Note series.
