I have not lost any files videos etc.. in my experience I have not had any thermal issues. I have 3 T7s so ...

I'd say he did his job with this one. I have 4 stores and a manufacturer plant and they all have to communicate on one platform, so when im on the go it has to stay on the go with me. Which means everytime I stop my system has to update. But the nice things it when I do go from store to store I only have to bring this and connect when I get there. It a perfect size for me, doesn't feel like im gonna break it. And im sure if I did drop it it would be okay. So, yeah it's a perfect fit. Size is great, sleek design, super fast, and well built. Oh yeah the cost didn't hurt that much either. Plan on buy at least two more. Well done and thanks, Sean S.

Even during longer transfer sessions, the drive remains cool and continues to perform reliably without noticeable slowdowns. One of my favourite features is the durability. The rugged exterior feels solid, and it gives me confidence when carrying it in my backpack while travelling or moving between locations. The extra resistance to everyday bumps and handling makes it feel like a dependable portable drive. The 1TB capacity provides plenty of room for my important files, photos, videos, and backups. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to include a slightly longer USB cable for a little more flexibility when connecting it to different setups. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Samsung T7 shield 1 TB SSD for storing my wedding photos and some of the photos and videos from my trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. So the one I got hasn’t had any connectivity issues or any heating issues. I have not dropped it once so I don’t really know and can’t speak on the resistance, but I would hope that it stays intact. The red and white speed is as labeled. It is quite fast and it is more than enough for my case.

It has built-in security which makes it resistant to people trying to hack into it as well as the security suite which makes it even optimized to have better performance cooling and many other points of interest. With the type of work I do it helps knowing the security and durability of Samsung products because when you have dependable product you know that it won't get damaged. And one of the major things is losing your information or data because it might overheat or get damaged. What I've noticed with all of Samsung devices is that they have a good cooling system within it and basically it keeps all my data regulated and ready for access

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the so best portable SSD best portable SSD t7 Shield by Samsung is a great device I have video games from Steam installed and they run phenomenally on it even though they're not directly stored on my gaming device they are stored externally. with that being said I have noticed the only issue with this device that I seem to experience the connectivity to other USB type-c chords I have a high data transfer and would plug that in and it would work phenomenally but even the lightest top of that cord would cause it to come unplugged so unless I'm using the one provided by Samsung it doesn't seem to want to stay in the durability is really great I like the rugged design of the item however I do wish it had mounting spots I did 3D print a holder for it to attach it to my gaming device so I would have no issues and I haven't because of how Samsung is built the device had any issues with it being to hot despite adding an extra layer of I guess you can say to it as the holder. So the internal cooling seems great.

From photo and videos collections, to entire custom compute programs for specific job sites, and just typical family 'vault' documents (copies of wills, deeds, birth certificates) i have had so many issues with incompatibility from PC to phone and from corrupt data on other "DIGITAL DISKS SCAN DRIVES" that i figure it was normal. I have nowhere complete maxed data capacity on my Portable SSD T7 Shield over 10 times since I got it at the beginning of the year; meaning I will fill it, transfer data to nearly empty, amd refill with other data. It is a required for the specific job I do. I have unique perspective on drive performance and how one should operate optimally. This drive doesnt get super hot when you load it for an hour constantly. It has been thrown around on my work bag, dropped the softball field out my pocket, I left it on the patio and found it the next foggy morning, it has not loss on performance or data packets. I brought it into the clerks office and she thought o was under prepared, and she was even impressed, she liked the SSD drive too:) i take it everywhere with zero compatibility issues. That is the seller. Im going to get another one just for the heck of it.

The T7 drives are terrible, within a few months every single one I've used or others I know have used drops to 2Mb/s write speeds, regardless of what it's connected to. The issues are widespread (just Google it) and frankly I'm amazed there hasn't been a product recall.

However, I have to say that the disk management application is still to be perfected, and why not add an option that depending on the connected device will or will not require the password?

From Pics, to Music, to Video clips--even Full-Length Movies! Ultra light-weight & Compact-design And best believe; I've dropped it on hard surfaces more than once. I utilize the SAME T7 portable SSD to this day! I'm still using it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best portable storage that I have used in a long time. Very durable I have carried it everywhere. The design is perfect able to grip it without with the silicone body. I have no problems connecting to any of my phones or laptop to be able to add more files to clear space on other devices. This 1TB for me holds a lot of the pictures and documents that I need but dont need right away giving me room to add more later and come back when needed. This is a ten out of ten for getting the job that I need it to do. I highly recommend and if 1TB is not enough for you, they also have it in 2TB and 4TB. Which makes it even better to fit ones needs.
