Samsung’s Newly Launched Neo QLED Redefines Home Cinematic Experience

Today, the company announced the launch of its latest Samsung Neo QLED TV range. Powered by Samsung’s own Quantum Matrix Technology and a new powerful Neo Quantum Processor, the world’s first TV featuring Quantum Mini LED, Neo QLED, delivers higher brightness and contrast precision contrast in picture. The groundbreaking TV series is available in 8K (models QN900A and QN800A) and 4K (models QN90A and QN85A) resolutions and comes in different sizes. Consumers will be sure to find the best-suited TV for the ultimate enjoyment at home.

Multi-pronged eco-approach for a sustainable future

Samsung is committed to attaining sustainability as part of its global efforts. The company seeks to systematically decrease its overall carbon footprint in TV manufacturing, including promoting the use of recycled materials. For example, Samsung’s first-of-its-kind innovation, Solar Cell Remote Control, is made with 24% recycled content[1]. Equipped with a battery that can be recharged by indoor light, outdoor light or USB, the design is estimated to reduce the disposal of 99 million disposable batteries over a period of seven years[2].



Samsung is expanding its ‘eco-packaging’ design to most of the 2021 Neo QLED and 2021 Lifestyle TVs. Users can select from various design options which can be downloaded online for free, and reassemble the packaging into various ornaments or even a piece of furniture. This sustainable solution can upcycle up to 200,000 tons of corrugated boxes each year[1]. By minimizing text and graphics on the eco-packaging, the oil-based ink from color printing that’s traditionally used on TV boxes is reduced, allowing more possibilities for upcycling.



Realistic color presentation for an all-immersive experience

Equipped with Quantum Matrix Technology Pro, Neo QLED 8K enables ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed LEDs on the screen, allowing viewers to enjoy content the same way the producers intended. With 1.5X more lighting zones than normal Quantum Matrix Technology, it expresses blacks, whites and every shade in between more accurately than ever, presenting the finest detail in both dark and bright areas. The brand-new Quantum Mini LED is designed to be 1/40 the height of a conventional LED. Instead of using lens to disperse light or a package to fix the LED in place, the Quantum Mini LED has incredibly thin micro layers filled with many more LEDs.

Neo QLED 8K also benefits from a powerful new Neo Quantum Processor 8K. By using up to 16 different neural network models that are each trained in AI upscaling and deep learning technology, the Neo Quantum Processor can optimize picture quality to 8K picture output[3]. Neo QLED 8K also achieves 100% color volume with Quantum Dot technology[4], allowing consumers to experience rich, perfect colors that stay true, regardless of illuminance. With cutting-edge technologies, Samsung transforms Neo QLED 8K into a deeper, more lifelike 8K viewing experience. In addition to the 8K models, Samsung’s Neo QLED lineup comprises two other TVs with 4K resolution, QN90A and QN85A.



Smoothest non-flickering display for every gaming detail



Being the first TVs to receive the first-of-its-kind ‘Eye Care’ certification from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a well-regarded electrical engineering certification institute in Germany, Neo QLED is a staunch comrade of gamers. Equipped with Motion Xcelerator Turbo+, which delivers exceptional motion enhancements up to 4K 120Hz, Neo QLED also features AMD Freesync Premium Pro™[5], allowing gamers to experience reduced stutter and screen tearing as well as a superior combination of smooth gaming at peak performance, exceptional high dynamic range visuals and low latency for an immersive gaming experience.

Neo QLED is also equipped with Game Bar, delivering the ultimate TV gaming experience for all gamers. The output of the game console or computer is clear at a glance in Game Bar, letting players quickly monitor and adjust critical aspects of play—whether that’s checking input lag, or connecting a headset. The Super Ultrawide Gameview and Game Bar features give gamers the option to play not only at the wide 21:9 aspect ratio, but even at the ultrawide 32:9 ratio[5], and they can adjust the screen position accordingly. The wider field of view ensures gamers don’t miss a moment of the action.



With the announcement that Neo QLED is now the official TV partner of the Xbox Series X, Samsung will deepen its collaboration with Xbox to offer more unbeatable gaming experiences. Equipped with powerful features for gaming, the Neo QLED projects exquisite gaming scenes in 4K from the Xbox Series X, with a silky-smooth 120 frames per second and a low 5.8ms response time. Neo QLED also supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro and variable refresh rate, which are designed to sync perfectly with the console, effectively reduce screen tearing, allowing users to have the whip hand in every arena and to conquer every battle.



The Neo QLED 8K features a new Infinity One Design—a 0.8mm nearly bezel-less screen allowing users to focus more on the video content, providing an even more immersive viewing experience in a sleek design and form factor. And the QN900A’s attachable Slim One Connect box—an all-new attachable cable management system that can be installed to the TV’s back—allows for easier installation and cleaner aesthetic by keeping wires out of sight. The Neo QLED 4K exudes simple elegance with a modern touch, featuring beautiful lines and a gradually curved back panel that harmonize perfectly with any room settings. Premium stereo sound for an all-around experience



Neo QLED 8K packs in several premium, room-filling audio features, including Object Tracking Sound Pro, which matches the movement of audio sound with the movement of objects on the screen through the dedicated up-firing and side-firing speakers, delivering dimensional and dynamic audio to perfectly compliment the stunning 8K picture quality. Neo QLED 4K is also equipped with Object Tracking Sound+[6], creating a dynamic sound corresponds to the movement of objects onscreen for a more realistic experience. In addition, Neo QLED’s SpaceFit Sound technology analyzes the installed TV’s physical environment to produce the best all-round sound experience whether it is mounted on the wall or placed on a table.



While Neo QLED offers incredible sound from the tiniest of speakers, nothing rounds out the captivating audio experience like the addition of a Q Series Soundbar[7]. Samsung’s 2021 Q Series Soundbar supports Q-Symphony which provides immersive sound performance when working together with Neo QLED, and creates a more dynamic, multi-dimensional soundscape and vastness surround-sound. The soundbar even measures its environment to project audio precisely where it needs to be, allowing users to enjoy the ultimate surround-sound that masterfully delivered above, behind and all around, synchronized in perfect harmony.



Incorporating 11.1.4-multichannel sound with Dolby Atmos, 2021 Q Series Soundbar HW-Q950A creates a true-to-life, captivating surround-sound experience at home. By syncing any Q Series Soundbar with QLED TV, the built-in Q-Symphony enhances sound through the soundbar and the up-firing TV’s speakers, giving them a new level of acoustic immersion to experience content like never before. The Q Series Soundbar also features 7.1.2-channel soundbar HW-Q900A and 3.1.2-channel soundbar HW-Q700A.



Delivering unparalleled experience from inward to outward

Neo QLED elevates the viewing experience and takes gentle care of consumers with the inclusion of innovative technologies. In addition to Anti-Reflection, which effectively minimizes glare in daytime or even under external lighting at night, Neo QLED is also equipped with Ultra Viewing Angle, allowing users to enjoy TV with brilliant color and crisp detail from different angles. Neo QLED series also supports Multi-View[9] for a more comfortable viewing with up to four sources of content simultaneously project on split screens. Whether it's live stats for sports or video guides for games, simply connect the phone and multi-screen and users will never miss a thing. Neo QLED also supports Tap View[9], which enables them to mirror content on a bigger screen by gently tapping the side of the TV with their smartphone.

The 2021 TV lineup also features QLED TV Q80A, Q70A and Q60A, as well as Crystal UHD AU9000, AU8000 and UHD AU7700, available in more than 20 models and sizes.
