Galaxy AI, Durability and Efficiency: Enhanced from the Inside Out for the Ultimate Experience

Samsung places great emphasis on improving the durability of all Galaxy smartphones, and Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are no exception. From the outer materials to the display and the internal components, Samsung strives for breakthroughs. The dual rail hinge structure, further supported by a strengthened folding edge, better distributes the shock of external impact. The new Galaxy Z Series is also equipped with enhanced protective layers that help improving the crease while maintaining strength.  In addition, both foldables feature enhanced Armor Aluminum[2] and Corning^® Gorilla^® Glass Victus^® 2[3], making this the most durable Galaxy Z series ever.

 

Aside from durability, Galaxy Z series is also more efficient. Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are both equipped with Snapdragon^® 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy[4], the most advanced Snapdragon mobile processor yet, combining best-in-class CPU, GPU and NPU performance, optimized for AI processing and improved overall performance. With Galaxy Z Fold6’s 1.6x larger Vapor Chamber and the first-ever Vapor Chamber on Galaxy Z Flip, the performance of the devices is maximized. Besides, Z Flip6 also supports 2 Nano SIM for the first time, so both Z Series models now have the same SIM card slots for greater convenience when travelling.  

Galaxy Z Fold6: Large Screen Productivity Upleveled by AI

• Galaxy AI opens doors to writing and creativity: A newly added Composer[7] from Samsung Keyboard generates different styles of suggested text based on simple keywords for email and supported social media apps. For social media in particular, Composer creates text that reflects users’ tones by analyzing previous contents. Additionally, Galaxy AI has elevated the S Pen[8] experience on Galaxy Z Fold6’s screen. All-news Sketch to image[9] allows users to create more creative art pieces by generating image options from simple sketches or drawings on the photos in Gallery or Note screen.

• Upgraded AI Search Anytime, Anywhere: Besides helping users search for images, videos or texts on screen, Circle to Search[10] has now been upgraded to help with answering mathematical equations and offering instant translations for onscreen contents. Simply press and hold the home button to circle, select or tap the screen for search results.

• Communication made simple: Galaxy AI enhances the communication capabilities of Galaxy Z Fold6. Maximizing its unique dual screen form factor, the new dual screen or listening mode on Interpreter[11] allows both parties to conveniently view translations on the main screen and cover screens for seamless conversations. It also offers one-way translation for users to easily understand lectures or presentations through the app’s real-time translation. Live Translate[12], which translates phone calls directly on users’ device, is now being extended beyond Samsung’s own native calling app to a selection of popular third-party apps.

• Explore your Creative Side with AI Tools: From capturing to editing to viewing, AI-powered ProVisual Engine on Galaxy Z Fold6 takes users’ creativity to the next level. To enjoy advanced editing experience, make use of the Generative AI in Photo Assist[13] on the large screen to effortlessly create professional-grade content. Portrait Studio[14] creates a variety of different portrait styles, such as 3D cartoon or watercolor, for more creative possibilities. To enjoy every second with a more detailed view, Instant Slow-mo[15] can slow a video by generating additional frames. Users can either save the videos or share them with friends or family.

A Variety of Recycled Materials on the Ongoing Journey to a Sustainable Future

Samsung continues the commitment to do more for the people and the planet with less. With Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6[25], the use of recycled materials have been scaled in both the components and the packaging, and for the first time, recycled gold and copper[26] are featured.

 

Earlier this year, Samsung introduced recycled minerals like cobalt and rare earth elements[27]in the Galaxy S24 series, all of which can be found in components of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, along with recycled plastics, aluminum and glass. The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 also come in a packaging box made from 100% recycled paper material, and they provide seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates[28].
