Reason

Ice will form at the bottom of the freezer compartment if the door is not properly closed and the cool air in the freezer is able to combine with the warm and humid air outside.

Solution

To avoid the formation of ice please ensure that the cool air circulates in all compartments of your freezer. See the following suggestions:

  • If the doors do not close properly, make sure that the door seal on the edge of the door is attached properly

You can also check if the door seals properly.

Close a sheet of paper in the door and pull it out.

If you can pull it with no resistance then the doors do not close properly and the seals should be replaced.

  • If the ventilation is blocked then the cool air will not circulate in the freezer.

You should allow as much space between the items as possible for the cool air to circulate in all parts of the freezer.
