How to use Shortcut Buttons on the Samsung Smart Remote

This video provides a clear and concise guide on utilizing the shortcut button feature of the Samsung Smart Remote Control. Note: Available functions may vary depending on your TV model and region.

1 Turn on/off your TV

Press the Power button to turn your TV on or off.

Note: For The Frame model, press and hold the button to turn off the TV

2 Restart your TV

Press and hold the Power button until the TV logo appears.

2.1 Press and hole the button

2.2 When the logo appears, your TV is restarting

1 Adjust Volume

Move the Volume button up or down to adjust the sound level.

2.1 Move button up to turn up the sound level

2.2 Move button down to lower the sound level

2 Mute or Unmute

Press the Volume button to mute or unmute.

3 Open Accessibility Shortcuts

Press and hold the Volume button to open Accessibility Shortcuts.

1 Switch Channels

Move the Channel button up or down to switch channels.

2 Open TV Guide

Press the Channel button to open TV Guide.

3 Open Channel List

Press and hold the Channel button to open Channel List.

1 Display Playback Controls and Manage the Currently Playing Media

Press the Play/Pause button to display playback controls on the screen and manage the media currently playing.

2 View the TV Information Screen

Press and hold the Play/Pause button to view the TV Information Screen.

3 Open Game Bar (When Game Mode is on)

When Game Mode is on, press the Play/Pause button to open the Game Bar..

Note: To enable Game Mode: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > Game Mode Settings > Set to Auto or On

1 Return to Previous Menu

Press the Return button to go back to the previous menu.

 

Example:

2.1 Press the Return button while in General & Privacy

2.2 The Menu is switched back to All Settings

2 Back to Previous Channel

When watching TV, press the Return button to go back to the previous channel.

2.1 Press the Return button

2.2 It is switched back to the previous channel

3 Close Currently Running Function

Press and hold the Return button to close the currently running function.

 

Example:

2.1 Press and hold the Return button

2.2 You may close the currently running function

1 Open Home Screen

Press the Smart Hub button to open Home Screen.

2.1 Press the Smart Hub button

2.2 Home Screen shows up

2 See Recommendations

While watching TV, press and hold the Smart Hub button to see recommendations related to what you are watching

1 Choose and Run the Focused Item

Press the Select button to choose and run the focused item.

 

Example:

2.1 Press the Select button while focusing on the All Settings option

2.2 All Settings menu is selected and therefore shows up

2 View Detailed Program Information (When Watching Broadcast)

While watching a broadcast program, press the Select button to see the detailed program information.

1 Pair the Remote with TV

To pair your remote with the TV, press and hold the Return button and Play/Pause button together for more than 3 seconds.

2.1 Press and hold the Return button and Play/Pause botton for more than 3 seconds.

2.2 Remote is connecting to the TV

2.3 Connection successful

2 Reset Remote Connection

To reset your remote connection, press and hold the Return button and Voice Assistant button together for more than 3 seconds.

Note: Aftering resetting, you will need to pair the remote with your TV again

3 Reset Remote's Power

To reset your remote's power, press and hold the Return button and Select button together for more than 10 seconds.

Note: Aftering resetting, you will need to pair the remote with your TV again
