Deze externe schijf loste voor mij een probleem op tijdens het thuiswerken tijdens de Corona crisis. Ik kon niet bij de server op kantoor, maar moest toch mijn enorme videoprojecten meenemen (500+ GB). Dagen waren verspild door het kopieren van projecten, tot ik deze Samsung X5 SSD 2TB heb aangeschaft. Hij verbaasd me keer op keer met zijn enorme snelheid - wat een ding! Hij gaat als een raket! Niet normaal. 600 GB projecten worden gekopieerd in 5 minuten (!!!!!). Ik kan zelfs projecten editten die op de SSD staan. Hij is duur, maar dat is het helemaal waard.

I have tried this drive with both my Mac and PC for two weeks before I gave up and returned the drive. The drive gets extremely hot what using it and during the first minutes of backing up my computer it is fast but the speed reduces dramatically with increased heat. When trying with extra cooling it becomes better so the drive has a clear design flaw. I both another SSD drive for 1/3 of the price which was 10 up to times faster. Stay away from this product.

The SSD is typically Samsung fast. The "Samsung Portable SSD" software to update and manage it? That's terrible. It ignores system proxy settings, fails to connect and sometimes causes kernel panics- which is very much the typical Samsung enduser software experience, familiar from using their apps on mobile devices. Plus ca change.

I procured two SSD X5 to back up my Mac book pro and after transferring data for about 3-4 minutes the temperature raised to 48°C, few minutes later 50°C and then the speed decreases to a not acceptable speed (time remaining increases instead of decreasing)
