How to find the model and serial number of my Samsung product

What are serial, model and IMEI numbers?

All of these numbers are used to identify a product; however, each serves a slightly different purpose.

Model Number: This number is used to differentiate between models in a company’s line of devices or appliances. Many devices or appliances can share a model number, indicating they are the same model.

Serial number: Often abbreviated to S/N, this number is a unique hardware identification number chosen by a company and given to each device or appliance produced. The number is used to match a product to its customer, so that the company has a record of possession. This number is only used by the original producer of the product.

IMEI number: The IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and is used to distinguish a mobile phone across all companies worldwide. The number can be used to identify and track a device that might be stolen or compromised.

Select product category and product type:

Smartphone

To find the model and serial number for your device, select Settings > About phone.

Tablet

To find the model and serial number for your device, select Settings > About tablet.

Buds

The model and serial number are located on the bottom of your device’s charging case.

Watch

To find the model and serial number for your device, select Settings > About watch.

Ring

The model and serial number are located on the bottom of your device’s charging case.

Televisions (all models)

The model and serial number are located on the back of the TV.*
You can also find the details in your TV menu, select Home > Settings > Support > About This TV.
You can start this function by pressing and holding the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 or more seconds. For the Standard remote (Play) button for 5 or more seconds. Continue holding the button until the information pop-up window appears.
Additionally, you can also view the information by scanning the QR code of your product.

The model and serial number are located on the back of the Soundbar.

Sound Tower

The model and serial number are located on the back of the Sound Tower.

Home Cinema

The model and serial number are located on the back of the Home Cinema.

MP3 & MP4 Player

The model and serial number are located on the back of the MP3 or MP4 player.

Projector

The model and serial number are located on the bottom of the Projector.
You can also find the details in your Projector menu, select Home > Settings > Support > About the Projector. You can start this function by pressing and holding the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 or more seconds.

Blu-ray

The model and serial number are located on the back of the Blu-ray player.

Refrigerators

French Door Refrigerator:

The model and serial number are located on the bottom left side of the refrigerator's exterior.
They can also be found on the left side of the top compartment inside the refrigerator.

One Door Refrigerator:

The model and serial number are located on the bottom left side of the refrigerator's exterior.
They can also be found on the left side of the top compartment inside the refrigerator.

Side by Side Refrigerator:

The model and serial number are located on the bottom left side of the refrigerator's exterior.
They can also be found on the left side of the right compartment inside the refrigerator.

Washing Machines & Dryers

Front load Washing Machines & Dryers:

The model and serial number are located on the front panel, behind the door. To see them, open the front door and check the panel area near the drum opening. They are usually located on the bottom.
For newer models, A QR code is located on the front panel for SmartThings set up with the model & serial on the same sticker. The model and serial number can also be located through the SmartThings app.
All Front load Washing Machines & Dryers have the model and serial number on rating plate on the rear of the product.

Dishwasher

The model and serial number are located on the inside left-hand side of the door.

Air Conditioner

Multi type

The model and serial number are located on the bottom side of the indoor unit.
They can also be found on the right side of the outdoor unit.

Wall mount

The model and serial number are located on the bottom side of the indoor unit.
They can also be found on the right side of the outdoor unit.

Samsung Top Load Washing Machine model and serial number located on back of appliance.

Air Dresser

The model and serial number are located on the outside of the Air Dresser, on the left side.
They can also be found on the bottom right-hand-side of the Air Dresser's interior.

Cylinder Shape

The model and serial number are located on the underside of the vacuum.

Robotic

The model and serial number are located on the bottom of the vacuum.

Upright Shape

The model and serial number are located on the underside of the vacuum.

Oven

The model and serial number are located on the top right-hand side of the front panel inside the oven.
They can also be found on the bottom right-hand side of the oven’s interior.
