How to use Power Saving modes on your Galaxy device?

You can set a power saving modes on your phone or tablet to limit its battery usage and make its charges last longer. There are a few different battery saving options and some tricks for saving your device's battery life.

Power Mode

Medium power saving modeClick to Expand

From Settings, search for and select Power mode. Tap Medium power saving, review the mode's settings, and then tap Apply.

 

The mode's options can be customized before tapping Apply. For example, you can turn on AOD (Always On Display), but please keep in mind that changing the settings will affect your phone's battery life.

Maximum power saving modeClick to Expand

 Some functions might be disabled, but you can still make calls, sends texts, and use certain apps. Rest easy because your phone's battery will last long after you've gone to sleep.

 

From Settings, search for and select Power mode. Tap Maximum power saving, review the mode's settings, and then tap Apply.

 

The mode's options can be customized before tapping Apply. For example, you can turn on AOD (Always On Display), but please keep in mind that changing the settings will affect your phone's battery life.

Optimized power saving modeClick to Expand

Your phone can automatically set the recommended battery life for you with the Optimized power saving mode. Your phone will find the ideal balance between performance and available battery life.

 

From Settings, search for and select Power mode, and then tap Optimized. Your phone will automatically switch to this mode.

 

You can also choose the Adaptive power saving feature to save battery life based on your usage patterns. Tap the switch at the bottom of the screen to turn this on.

Battery TipsClick to Expand

It's super important to charge your battery properly so it can keep up with you through day. Follow these tips for the best results:

ㆍUse your Samsung charger and avoid third-party accessories.
ㆍEnsure the charger is connected securely and is not being blocked by your phone cover or case.
ㆍMake sure the charging indicator appears on the phone's display when the charger is connected.
ㆍUse a power outlet instead of your computer for a better charge.
ㆍDisconnect the phone from the charger once the battery is fully charged.
ㆍDo not leave your phone connected to the charger for long periods of time or overnight.

Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and phone model. The use of power saving modes can affect app and device performance; some tasks and features may take longer to complete or update. Additionally, apps running in the background may not receive updates or send you notifications when power saving modes are turned on.
