I was really excited to buy this phone, and I've tried so hard to love it. As a longtime Samsung user and former flip-phone consumer, I had wanted to check out the Z Fold series for a while, and also wanted to wait until it had been out for a few generations, hoping the worst of the design flaws would be behind it by then. Boy, was I wrong. Within 3 months of ownership the left-side hinge just popped off, while I was sitting there staring at the phone in my hands. From then on, the frame securing the inner screen was popping off and bending away from the phone. Within 6 months of ownership the left side of the screen was held together with electrical tape. The right side of the frame would begin to peel off and by 11 months in - the screen is flashing green and white at the fold point. I have never had so much trouble with a phone, and as cool as it was to have for the fist few months it was soon embarassing to take out in public due to its evidently poor design :( I will have had this phone for one year on May 13th. I have not been able to use it for almost 6 weeks based on its rapid deterioration.

Avoid this phone like the plague! The case will never stay on to protect it. The top half will fall off. I met another person with it and laughed when I saw he was missing the top half as well. If you're trading in because your screen is cracked, rest assured, this one will be cracked shortly. There are connectivity issues with it as well. I have to restart the device sometimes to get apps to work. Which can be quite embarrassing when you are standing with a client. Who knows how many clients I've missed out on from it. Awful, just awful. Buyers remorse for sure. I'm going to trade this junk in. Something simpler.

I used the Fold 3, 4, 5 and I feel frustrated because the Chinese devices are superior to you. The Fold 5 has good internal screen dimensions and bad external screen dimensions. We want a bigger screen inside and out. The sound level is still weak and the weight of the device is still heavy. We want a super device and there is no problem in paying money. I am NOT recommending to have any type of fold, I have fold 3 , the internal screen was damaged without any misused, but samsung refused to repkace it even my mobile was under warranty

My z fold 5 is bulky, but as a male user it fits fine in my hands. I think females can enjoy a fold instead.. Although i haven't had the chance to compare both devices, i am pretty sure the bigger the battery, better the life of the device unless you break a screen after the year of free replacements from samsung. The Ai features are cool and handy; but i am sure they will make more advances in all fronts , afterall its Ai..PAIRED WITH AN AWSOME DEVICE..

I bought this in October, excited at the Fold from the start but waiting for it to be further refined. I love that it finally folds flat, and has a great battery life and camera, in addition to allowing me to have a portable tablet by just folding, for watching videos and movies, productivity such as editing photos and videos and great usage with the S Pen. Also the wow factor when anyone is presented with the phone being unfolded, that can't be beat!

I don't advice at all . I paid more than 5000 for zfold . The screen in the middle have problem and samsung refuse to solve it because it's after 1 year guarantee. It's factory defect . I m very suprised for their carelessness of solving the issue . I have all proof that it's device problem . They tried 5 times to solve it . I bought this a week ago. And the experience is smooth and amazing. Anyways I still used my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I can say that It's really good to be part of Z Fold team. I'm was a fan of Note series starting 3 to 9 but now I can say Z Fold has a great innovation as of the moment. Batterh life is not to perfect not to raw, but last till day. I went to buy a Samsung Ultra but that wasnt available. I got this on a whim and I am loving my decision at the moment. The upper screen is small enough for one hand use and the open version has made my tablet redundant lol. The phone performs well and I am very happy with the overall smoothness of operation. The only app that acts up every now and then is the google maps but I doubt that is a Samsung issue.

I was one of the first to order this phone when it was newly introduced in the market. The battery life is extremely poor. The charger/adapter also got malfunction within couple of months. It get extremely hot whole charging. The speed is very slow. Such waste of money TBh. I will recommend not to buy.
