How to fix “No SIM Card Detected” on Samsung Galaxy devices
If your Samsung Galaxy shows “No SIM Card detected” even with a SIM inserted, it’s usually caused by a loose card, dirt, or network settings. Restarting, reinserting the SIM, or resetting network settings typically fixes it.
Restart your Samsung Galaxy device
Inspect and reinsert the SIM card
Step 1. Turn off your device using Volume down + Power, then tap Power off
Step 2. Remove the SIM card and check for damage or dirt
Step 3. Clean the SIM card and tray with a soft, dry cloth
Step 4. Reinsert the SIM card properly into the tray
Step 5. Turn on your device and check if the issue is resolved
Reset mobile network settings
Notes:
- Resetting network settings will remove saved Wi-Fi and mobile configurations
- Handle the SIM tray carefully to avoid damage
- This issue often occurs when the SIM is loose, dirty, or after a software update
