I was really excited to buy this phone, and I've tried so hard to love it. As a longtime Samsung user and former flip-phone consumer, I had wanted to check out the Z Fold series for a while, and also wanted to wait until it had been out for a few generations, hoping the worst of the design flaws would be behind it by then. Boy, was I wrong. Within 3 months of ownership the left-side hinge just popped off, while I was sitting there staring at the phone in my hands. From then on, the frame securing the inner screen was popping off and bending away from the phone. Within 6 months of ownership the left side of the screen was held together with electrical tape. The right side of the frame would begin to peel off and by 11 months in - the screen is flashing green and white at the fold point. I have never had so much trouble with a phone, and as cool as it was to have for the fist few months it was soon embarassing to take out in public due to its evidently poor design :( I will have had this phone for one year on May 13th. I have not been able to use it for almost 6 weeks based on its rapid deterioration.

I was a huge fan of samsung until this phone came along. Samsung monte 2010 superb Note 1 excellent Note 3 superb. Fold 5 per se the phone is ok nothing exceptionally great,, as my uses are limited to phone calls and messages and few other basic stuff. After 1 year, I updated the software and the big screen, inside one went kaput,, it developed a black line in the center and the screen stopped working,, I believe it's called as a paper screen it seems,, then onwards it's totally going black every time I open it. Called the samsung fellows and they say we can't help it,,, we are here just to give you gratification for some time and fleece you of your hard earned money.. Never ever again am I going to buy samsung phone or refrigerator or ac or microwave ever again

All the usual great features , like Camera and easy to use apps . If you enjoy the endless supply of videos from You Tube and Tik Tok it's spectular. Netflix and other providers perform flawlessly . The battery life is excellent, and can be used in conjunction with a seperate keyboard and stand . Perfect for those emails and office duties . The fold out screen , can operate as 2 independent screens , that can share files . Can be used as a conventional mobile , by using the single front screen . I love my new Samsung Z fold 5G .

Was disappointed when I opened the box only to find no S Pen as the display phone had a pen beside it. I think Samsung missed an opportunity here. The Samsung case with slim S Pen is not of Samsung build quality and you will find many people who give the product a 1 star rating because the Pen is prone to falling out of ita spot. Samsung, you are getting closer to perfection, but not quite there. My friend nearly lost her Pen from the Samsung case and we looked into it and found it a common complaint. I still love Samsung. They'll learn and get it right next time.

The mobile itself is amazing quality and it exceeded my expectations especially fold spine. It's snug and smooth. The display quality is amazing on the mobile and large screen. It is like a mini laptop in your pocket. The mobile is very easy to set up and I have had no lag on internet and between apps. The quality of the audio is great via ear or speaker. I do think the loudspeaker could be louder. I do wish a plug was given with the mobile. The camera and video quality are mind blowing. Overall I would recommend this mobile but it is pricey.

I'm glad I took the plunge. I love this phone, everyday I come across a reason I love the fold, especially due to the multi tasking power when working between two apps to copy information or drag and drop a file or image. Samsung really have thought about everything with this technology. Additionally the original Samsung case with the S-Pen is very well built and does not increase the size of the phone to much. The phone build feels strong and the hinge is solid and works well when using flex mode. You'll love it.

It’s meaningfully lighter, which makes a difference when you’re using it folded for long periods of time. There are more multitasking options and ways to take advantage of that big inner screen, and battery life is better. Those aren’t huge differences, but they’re important ones when you’re talking about a folding phone you’ll want to get the most out of. Samsung may still have the lead in the foldable race, but the gap is closing. If it wants to stay ahead, it’ll have to do more next year than just nip a few millimeters and pop in a new chipset. For now, though, that’s just enough.

It is a bit heavy but that’s to be expected. The quality of the screen and the photos is amazing, I’m really happy with it. I don’t think I’ll want to go back to a non folding phone again, having that big clear screen is amazing. The phone itself has also nice and clear sound. It pairs well with my Samsung watch and as a pair they’ve replaced all my other products. I’ve started to use the phone over my tv for watching YouTube as it’s so clear, and being able to split the screen is a dream.

Now I love it and honestly don't think I could go back to a normal phone. I have always been cautious with foldables due to them being more fragile then normal phones however I was never more wrong. This phone has been awesome and the new hinge design has made this phone more durable then ever whilst also being amazingly slim. The phone is really light in my hands and slim in my hands with it being perfect to use in phone mode or tablet mode. This is also the fastest phone I have ever used with its new chip being really fast and amazing on battery.

Especially being able to multi task and watch movies on a bigger screen when I want too. The processor is definitely amazing. I would say it's fast for what I use a phone for. The screen is amazing but there are points where I can see the crease. It's not bad when watching movies or anything but it is visible at certain angles but still fine. The outside screen is good, I can personally use the out screen with one hand if needed. That's the main screen anyone will use and it's good. Cameras are good, it's lighter then I excepted. Definitely get a case for it

I love the picture quality that is magnificent at any time of the day. The scan feature when taking a picture of any document is so convenient. The fold function and design into a mini tab makes the viewing and navigating so much easier and can read a book or document so effortless. The sound production either making voice calls or just listening to anything using the phone speakers is second to none. it is my first foldable phone. I have had few android phones in the past, samsung phones as well, but I always went back to apple and ios after a short while of owning them. Even when I had the legendary s23 ultra, I sold it for an iphone few months later. Now after owning a z fold 5, I can't see myself going to a normal phone again. I love having a tablet in my pocket all the time. It is not perfect, I would have wanted a slightly bigger front screen, some few glitches, but overall, I love it and No one could convince me to go back to any normal phone or iphone. Looking forwards to the zfold 6 and I hope they increase the front screen size as it will be perfect.

Samsung has done some excellent work here to support tablet-style operations. Samsung is locked into a tremendous and still evolving foldable design. Samsung should have included the plug, S-Pen, and earphones. It charges quickly and the battery lasts longer even if you listen to music. The cover display is bigger and better and the main screen is great, despite the still obvious crease. Playing games has been fun with the foldable option. But when not folded the screen is small so needed lots of settings changes to view it better.

I was worried about the form factor having small hands but it just feels comfortable. The internal screen blows you away every time and after a days adjustment the front screen is fine for everything from a quick text to checking for directions. I am just let down by the camera. In daylight I have snapped some spectacular shots but in any low light situation I can't seem to get the kids/cat to stay still for long enough to stop the blur. I'm really hoping that with a few updates there could be improvements on this because it's truly a life changing device!

It’s incredibly well-built, solid and the first in its generation to fold completely flat is a pleasure to see and handle daily. Folding and unfolding the screen has not been an issue either, where used properly and with due care, I don’t see it being any concern even in the coming years. Able to multitask for my day-to-day work needs and in my downtime, YouTube and Netflix have never been so enjoyable on the large screen, and its ability to handle all the latest Gpu heavy games is just a bonus. No complaints at all and is a pleasure to own and use!

Avoid this phone like the plague! The case will never stay on to protect it. The top half will fall off. I met another person with it and laughed when I saw he was missing the top half as well. If you're trading in because your screen is cracked, rest assured, this one will be cracked shortly. There are connectivity issues with it as well. I have to restart the device sometimes to get apps to work. Which can be quite embarrassing when you are standing with a client. Who knows how many clients I've missed out on from it. Awful, just awful. Buyers remorse for sure. I'm going to trade this junk in. Something simpler.

I purchased it alongside an S pen case and it has been invaluable in my studies and media consumption. The main screen is large and vibrant with a lovely OLED display and a 120hz refresh rate making playing Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero a delight. My main gripe with the phone is the bulky size when folded and the narrow outer display (though the outer display is intended to be used to check notifications and control music, it can be used with full functionality.). I also would have liked to see the S pen included within the device itself, as the s pen case adds to the bulkiness.

I don't use my ipad anymore since I have got this big screen phone which allows me to use multiple apps at a time. I can play game on half screen while watching netflix series on another half. I thought it wouldn't be easy to carry or fit it in my pocket, but surprisingly it is perfectly fit in my pocket or not too heavy to carry. It is possible to use almost all features on its front display which is very impressive. Overall, I am pretty happy with the performance and battery life of the mobile.

I love the design, folded properly, brightness, features and above all this phone replaced my Kindle. I am very fond of reading history books. Now it is very easy for me to read the book on the phone. No need to carry kindle with me. I'd been holding off because I did not like the gap of the Fold 4 (and below) when closed. No such issues on the 5! Been a user of various S series so quite familiar with One UI, but still impressed with what it can do in terms of multitasking on the bigger screen. The only slight complaint for my usage is that the battery is just OK rather than great. I usually manage to get through the day with low single digit percentage left but even so, it's too close for comfort without packing a battery pack in my bag.

This being the fifth generation of fold, you can really see how much thought has gone into everything to get the design just right. I love the flex mode so that I can capture a scene from infront of the camera and I found out how to take selfies with the best rear camera but using it in foldout mode. I will add my Azure work profile next and put it to the test to see if I really can leave the laptop behind! Excellent product. Looking forward to learning so much more about it.

Fantastic phone and it’s a beast all though the price is a lot but it is worth it and it is what it is so come it’s 2023 so I think it’s much better than the fold 4 in so many ways but only downside that I think they should change is the main camera as it should be 200 megapixel just like the Samsung s23 ultra as well as changing the inside big screen camera to one of the other cameras on the Samsung s23 ultra as well as changing the layout of the 3 camera lens on the back and should have a total different body for example like the Google Pixel fold meaning the front display screen and body

Being able to fold out the phone for a larger screen to view parts inventory, view workshop manuals, PDF etc has totally changed the way that I work. Originally wasn't too interested as had a Note9 which I loved due to the S pen. Then realised could get a S pen & case for the Fold5 so bought one. I do have a Samsung tablet but its a big thing to carry around, with the Fold5 it covers you for phone and tablet operations. Only had it a week but so far really pleased with it. Emails are so much better in the split screen. Social media is obviously better because of the bigger screen and I don't hold the screen as close to my face which has to be better for my eyes lol. When the phone is closed and just using the single front screen you do notice a drop in screen resolution but I only use the phone in that format if I need to check something real quick, so it's no problem at all. I'll open the phone if I need all the bells and whistles. I wasn't prepared for all the compliments from strangers on how cool the phone is.

I do not have small hands. but within a couple of weeks, I was used to typing on the cover display. yes, a little wider would be nice. not too wide though. if the Spen worked on the cover it would be nice, but I understand why you can't, and I am ok with that. as for the camera it is a capable setup. a 5x Zoom would be nice. the UDC is great for what I need it for. I even watch YouTube in landscape on the cover display more than I thought I would. and because it is not to wide it is comfortable to hold when making calls, looking at stuff on the cover or holding it in both portrait and landscape.

Screen's are very crisp and clear, the inside screen does have a prominent crease but if I'm honest you don't actually pay it any attention. It's quite a thick phone but it's a foldable so to be expected. Screen's are very bright and no issue seeing them in daylight. Can't comment on battery life as have had screen in almost continually during set up, will post an update upon normal day to day usage. I do worry about the exposed camera lenses and subsequently have ordered lense protection, I have also ordered the Samsung case with fold pen so will report that usability too as I use the phone more.

This phone comes very close to perfectly doing almost everything that people these days expect their phones to do. I do understand the general concern around the fragility of the inner screen and the lack of dustproofing. But once you use it and adjust some of your habits, you'll start having more fun with it compared to the other "standard" form-factor devices.

I use the front screen for everyday tasks,calls,texts etc but as soon as I want to watch YouTube, tik tok, instagram videos in full screen like a mini movie theatre, then on tip of that I can split the screen so I can txt while watching Netflix or scroll through my photo gallery while checking my emails. I'm by no means a smartphone aficionado but the new Z Fold 5 is lighter, faster and opens and shuts completely flat. It fits easily into jeans pockets, unlike its predecessor which was heavier and clunky. (Was still an awesome phone thou!) Apps works faster, and overall I found the functionality to be simpler in some areas than the previous Z Fold 4. The battery life has also improved. If your contemplating getting this Smartphone I would highly recommend it!

Device is great. The hardware performs exceptionally and I am more than happy with the system, however... Samsung account is not required, please stop asking me. I don't use social media and I don't use apps, why are all these things pre installed? 1800 GBP for a phone is tantamount to robbery (though no one forced me to buy it). I have seen RTX 4090 graphic cards cost less and have far more functionality. Device tracking was a real pain to turn off and the auto updating of accounts is also very intrusive. I really don't want to share my life with Korean intelligence agencies...

My Note 10 was getting a little tired and the early bird offer of the buds an watch tipped me over. Been living with it for a month now and starting to really appreciate the extra real estate. VERY annoying it does not come with a pen or pen holder and yet ANOTHER EXPENSIVE pen variant. However fair choice of cases out there with pen holders so I am working my way through. You look at it and see the crease but day to day you really don't notice it. Screen works well..

I don't advice at all . I paid more than 5000 for zfold . The screen in the middle have problem and samsung refuse to solve it because it's after 1 year guarantee. It's factory defect . I m very suprised for their carelessness of solving the issue . I have all proof that it's device problem . They tried 5 times to solve it . One of the key differences of these phones was the ability to add 1TB of extra external storage. I was hoping that this iteration (No. 5) would have had a capacitive touchscreen for the front screen. Come on Samsung. Get with the program. Battery performance is still behind the pack. The phone is still a leader in its field. Another wish list item is to have a larger phone to increase the realestate on the front screen and give the phone a wider internal screen.

It feels slim and sleek, also light at hands as well. Amazing that when you fold it up to phone mode, it is actually thinner (width wise) than other phones. Great for watching streaming, superb for gaming because it runs so smooth without lagging. Best of all, the fast charging and the battery life is excellent and lives up to the description! Didn't need to charge my phone for 3 days when I utilised it for those days.

Samsung upgraded me from the Zfold 4 as it's durability wasn't great for the folding screen, and the ZFold5 screen feels so much more sturdy, the screen difference quality was amazing considering there's not much time between the phones. The brightness and colour was great. The things you can do with the big screen with split screens, drag and drop, ease of use is so useful for productivity, watching video's and connectivity to other things such as Tv's is amazing, it' pretty much a mini laptop!!

After a year and a half, the screen started to show cracks in the crease but it was covered under warranty. I've recently upgraded to the latest Fold5. I use my Fold + S-Pen as a journal and, unlike a traditional paper diary, I can include photos. It's had a profound effect on my mental health and for the few months between submitting my Fold3 for warranty and getting my Fold5, I really noticed its absence. I continued journaling on my old S10 but tapping away on the tiny keyboard is not the same as physically writing with a pen. The battery life seems to be a lot better on the 5th gen. I do wish the cameras were the same as the S-series but they do they the job.

I've had so many issues with this same type of phone. I lose my Bluetooth and wifi to where I can't connect to devices or wifi and I only had this phone 9 months. Then I changed it out and had to put all my stuff on a new one to have that one do the same thing. These phones should be taken off the market I've read alot of ppl are having issues with it as well where they need to take them apart to fix them. This 2nd phone I've only had about 2 months max. I rather get a different phone. I'll never get another fold I've wasted alot of time on these.

Initially, I expected the improvements to be incremental, but I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong. The numerous enhancements, including a larger front screen, a flatter closure of the phone, a brighter display, and an improved camera, have significantly enhanced my overall user experience. This purchase was undoubtedly a wise decision, and I can confidently say that I won't be reverting to a conventional, non-folding phone anytime soon!

Everybody always stops me and asks what kind of phone this is.... in fact I've managed to impress enough people that they also bought one.. The fold 5 is lighter and has so much storage with impressive abilities.. doubled to 512G I rarely use my PC and it very rarely leaves my side.... Google is such a font of knowledge I haven't tried the pen yet but I'm sure Samsung has perfected that as well... I couldn't be happier or prouder of my fabulous blue phone💜

You should make an upgrade for taking screenshots easier, for example swiping down with finger or nocking on the screen twice. I use my phone for work a lot and most of the time I'm driving and your methods for screenshot are difficult for such a big phone. Plese consider this and do an update. Also the face recognition is not quite responsive and good as it was on my last phone. Maybe you should work on this as well. Other than that until now I'm happy with my new and bigger screen. I realise this review is for the Z Fold5 but you should know this. My Sister and I both purchased Z Fold 3's two years ago. Despite Samsungs boast, quote, " Samsung promises the device will survive a minimum of 200,000 folds" none of our phones lay flat anymore. If we have used it for 10 times a day over 2 years we will have opened and closed it 7,300 times. It is a hinge problem and although it is small I visually see it as an open book now. Shame, we both love the phone and maybe Samsung have overcome this problem on the Z Fold5? Good luck!

For me the folding flat is a big thing as I really notice the difference. The cameras aren't as big of an upgrade as I would like, but the new post processing makes it feel a little snappier. As always the display inside and out is perfect and for me the thinner front display isn't a deal breaker. I do sometimes wish the would fold along the other edge which would completely solve that problem, but I get it. Overall very happy with the Fold 5.

It just perfect on my hand and my pocket pants.. Further, the phone has "second screen" so i can comfortably watch my favourite netflix shows/movies as well as playing mobile games. The second screen also help for someone like me who has big thumbs to type their email or chatting.. it also helps me to review some work documents. Battery life and performance also great. 10 out of 10 overall.

The Phone is very good and I enjoy using it, however when the screen failed after using it for a year and within the warranty period, the repair was refused as there was scratches on the outer casing which were just wear and tear scratches nowhere near the screen or failure, I was then left with a non functional phone that through no fault of my own had to repair, I wouldn't personally recommend buying one of these as the as the screen has a failure point which i think is a design flaw at the screen fold and is very expensive to repair

Here's what I love: Hinge and Display: The new hinge is rock-solid. It opens and closes with a satisfying smoothness, and the screen crease is much less noticeable. Performance: The latest Snapdragon processor makes everything faster and smoother, perfect for intense productivity or gaming sessions. Battery Life: I'm getting significantly better battery with the Fold 5, meaning I worry less about charging throughout the day.

At first I was a little concerned of the closed size as it is a lot narrower than the Note 20 and I thought messaging etc might be an issue, but, it is a perfect size for my hand and actually find it a great deal easier to text with than the Note 20. The larger screen when opened up is perfect for work for me, easier to read emails, do research or even great for watching movies etc on PT. I no longer find a use for my tablet as this phone does the lot.

I've been using a few hours since it arrived today and am seriously impressed with how apps feel in this form factor, emails become a joy to work with. What blew me away before buying was how thin this phone is when unfolded, but also when closed, I think this ultimately sold me knowing it would be barely noticed in my pocket. The screen is gorgeous and the phone zippy. So glad I bought, know I'm going to enjoy the phone.

I had no issues with it whatsoever. The only improvements I ask for is better compatibility with macbook as I still use macbook. However, I know it won't happen and I'm OK with that because I'm happy with the phone. I might switch over to samsung completely...

I always wanted to upgrade to a big screen phone from S21Ultra. Finally I did, my life is awesome ever since. Not only for Netflix, it's also super useful for everything else like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, WeChat. What made me chose Samsung over others is because it can be used with S Pen & 1TB storage. 1TB is essential for me, for my Hero12 4K120fps motorcycling videos. IPX8 is a must for me, I need it rain-proof as I'm a daily motorcyclist. Fold5's weakness over other brands folding phones is smaller screen of 7.6".

I still have my Samsung Tablet S8 for serious work and watching movies, but for convenience and reading news/emails on the go, the Z Fold 5 is hard to beat. I was initially skeptical of the size/weight, but after a while, I hardly noticed the weight and it sits comfortably in my trouser pocket (just don't buy the bulky cases). It has many features (e.g. flex mode) that one would not see on either a phone or a tablet.

Having started with the Galaxy S devices, had Note devices, now was the right time to experience what the Fold offers. This phone is truly exception, it's compact when folded and makes for a very comfortable device to hold. But when its time to work or play, the amazing screen that opens up is truly breath taking. The software is smooth and the display is sharp unlike any other. The Fold5 truly is Samsungs flagship device. I absolutely love this phone and can't put it down!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second fold unit I have purchased after having the fold 3 for 3 years. It was an amazing phone that with a protective hard card latest the duration with no issue about battery charge or duration. After 3 years the large fold screen was still working well with only slight wear around the thumb scrolling area and in the middle creese some delimitation after years and thousands if not 10's of thousands of folds open and closed each and every day. I am expecting nothing less from this fold 5 model. Only slightly smaller the the 2 with basically unchanged layout and operations, why change what ain't broke and works well. Love the phone and the functions and features, hope to explore it full potential with this one and most likely the next in a few years time.

After using the phone daily for a bit over a week I can, I can honestly say I don't believe that I could go back. Yes the phone a bit thicker than any normal phone but having a larger screen is well worth the trade off. I was concerned about the durability and any other sort of comprises e.g. camera, battery life etcetera but I have been blown away by the power, speed and battery life. I cannot fault anything with the phone so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laptop power in a super portable form factor. I've yet to seriously challenge the Fold 5. Heaps of screen space, multitasking capability and oodles of RAM to get stuff done. I'm even able to monitor client systems in a remote desktop session without needing to leave the lounge room. My partner is loving the extra time I have with them. As a Note devotee my only gripe is the pen not being built in but honestly the pen case works well and does not add unnecessary bulk. I've even replaced my tablet with my Fold 5 as my sim rig dashboard display when racing on Forza. It's easy to recommend the Fold 5 to anyone wanting a bigger more powerful device. My wife ordered one as soon as she saw how well it streamed Netflix and ended up watching most of the Women's World Cup on it.

Z Fold 5 is the model that I have been waiting for since Z Fold 1 was released years ago. Would love to see if the screen ratio can be better for folded and unfold mode. If a feature that can enlarge the screen on any app would be great. My eye signs are no good and this is one of the reasons for me to purchase the Fold. Also if there is a better phone case suitable for the next Fold (With Spen holder) That will be perfect. Thank you, Samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good Sammy phone with the benefit of having the larger screen. my only minor grip is aspect ratios, some content is to small on the cover screen and some content is too wide on the inner screen. I expected this ofc and its usually manageable with resizing apps and settings wish the s-pen was contained within the device itself (and worked with the cover screen) so I'm not forced to use a specific case I was also worried that going down from a 5000 mAH battery would cause grief but its been pretty good

I had the Fold 5 for the last few weeks, but the battery consumption is not good. The finger marks stay on the main and cover LCDs. It is too difficult to keep the cover lcd clean all the time. The marks on the edges and the back camera do get easily, even the mobile phone is in the original Samsung fold case and still, I have scratches on the back camera. The camera is of average quality, the keyboard is good and when the fold is open, the typing and use is better, however I would prefer a single unit phone.

The phone now folds completely flat (no more wedge shape) and there is an appreciable reduction in weight. The official Samsung case that includes the S Pen is also a welcome change (though internal storage of the S Pen inside the phone chassis is always preferable). The new AI features, general performance and battery life are all great. I also seem to get better 5G/4G reception and coverage too. Highly recommended handset!

I have had a few Samsung phone In the past well actually almost all of them have been Samsung's from the age of 20 before that they were the good old green screens lol wow I'm getting old 😅 and I have always said take me back to them good old days until I got the new zfold5 now I could never go back this phone is truly amazing. The features are out of this world. To some it up the zfold5 is the phone to have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant to get the fold a couple of years ago, as I was more than happy with my SNoteUltras, but I was always intrigued by the bigger screen and I now love having the 2 different screen options laid out (rather than mirrored - which is optional). Only downside is not having the Pen installed and having to do a ton of research for the right case and pen, which I finally found. The next model should totally have a slot for the pen, I'd still pay extra for the pen, but it needs to have its own slot.

The biggest things I've noticed: - Camera is now instant and higher quality, the hardware is the same but now there's no delay in snapping, no more blurred or missed photos - Battery is better, again same hardware but optimisations and the processor are more efficent - Brighter screen - easier to read in sun - Hinge is butter smooth and silent - feels so well 'oiled' and better built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using the phone for the last week. I came from an S20 ultra. The fold 5 phone fits in the pocket well. My ultra used to pop out of my pocket due to it's size. However, the fold is heavy, but you will get used to it. Having multi apps opened in multi Windows is great. You can browse the Web, look at emails and watch YouTube at the same time. The cameras are not too bad for my everyday use, pictures are good enough for social media and messages. The cover screen is good enough for every day use, like a little Galaxy S device. However, the tall and narrow ratio can be a little weird, and it will take time to get used too. I do wish it was 20 grams lighter, the cover screen be a cm or so wider, less tall, a little thinner, and perhaps have a 108mp camera, with 50x zoom?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera quality is superior. I recently upgraded from the S20+ and the camera quality is so much better than I was expecting. As a bonus, the fold acts like a built in camera stand, so videos and exposure shots are clearer as there's no shake. I also love that I can take a selfie using the main camera, viewed on the front screen. I was tossing up between the Fold 5 and S23 Ultra, and am so glad I went with the Fold. It's an exciting new form factor and can't wait to discover even more uses for it.

Despite the hefty price tag, I had many concerns, but after using it for about two weeks, I believe it was an excellent choice. First and foremost, the large screen and multitasking capabilities greatly impressed me in terms of usability. The portability and grip, considering the form factor, are at a satisfactory level. As for the usability of the pen, I will need to use it more to make a final judgment, but I believe it will have its usefulness. Durability is a concern, so I'll have to handle it with care. It's disappointing that there haven't been many changes compared to the previous model, but I hope the next iteration will bring more innovation, including improved pen storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had previously owned a fold 3 and loved it, I had an issue with the digitizer and Samsung paid out the device just within the warranty period, I couldn't live without it so purchased the fold 5 as soon as it came out. It may not look like a massive upgrade but having the pen embedded in the case makes a massive difference, plus the hinge is definitely better than the previous verson. The folds are productivity power houses. Great for reading pdfs, or general tablet work. Super happy with it

The keyboard is too small and I keep pressing . full stop . all the time when writing .... The notifications are all over the place and one has to hunt through miles of sub menus to find anything. The lock screen notifications do not show how they are meant to on the lock screen only small at the top and disappear in one second. The small screen is too far to the edges and one keeps catching it and making mistakes as the screen is to the edge. the open large screen is a bit of a mess and the split keyboard is useless. The full keys are way too low to the bottom and one keeps catching close page when pressing space bar., The lock screen is not having a flashing light as do the S7 S8 S9 to show that one has a message etc. pull down menu one has to flip sideways as well to get to settings Why???

Now with galaxy fold 5 the screen is big enough to see the details of the dress she wants to buy along with her online searches so my laptop is free whenever I want it. She is free to watch our little one as many times as she wants but not on TV as her phone is enough now.

I used the Fold 3, 4, 5 and I feel frustrated because the Chinese devices are superior to you. The Fold 5 has good internal screen dimensions and bad external screen dimensions. We want a bigger screen inside and out. The sound level is still weak and the weight of the device is still heavy. We want a super device and there is no problem in paying money. We want a luxurious device in... Kuwait and the line in the middle of the screen, when will it end and go away? And thank you, I love you

As soon as I opened the box, I knew this was the best decision. This phone looks awesome. It has an elegant design and is not bulky (until you decided to put case) but still a decent size to carry and use in daily business. I won't write about features, functions etc because there is a lot on the internet already. It has all that you can expect from a smartphone.

Was a brilliant phone for 2 weeks and then something happened with the hinge and now the internal screen broke. Spoke to ee who directed me to samsung who then booked me an appointment at an EE store to look at it. Hopefully they fix it. I will say I am now stuck with this phone for the next 24 months.... a phone that didn't even last 1 month before breaking due to no fault of my own. Don't be a guinea pig like me and just go with a different phone to save yourself the disappointment.

However with some apps switching between the unfolded front screen to the nice large unfolded screen it seems like there are some unironed kinks to it. I'm hoping if this gets solved rating will 100% go to 5 stars. The performance sometimes laggs out but I'm not sure of its the hardware of the phone or just the lack of optimisation. Cheers, Albi.

Since using a device I have been happy with my purchase The only limitations I have found has been battery life screen optimisation for apps like Facebook and Instagram and screen is also highly reflective in outdoor settings. Aside from those minor things I have been using this device as an alternative to my full size Samsung tablet which I normally use as a desktop computer.

The large screen is the wonderful size that allows me to see pictures of accomodations clearly and make the best choices. Also because it fols it is small enough to comfortably fit in a small handbag. It carries in documents folders all the backup information needed for a 3 month long travelling holiday. All features are easy to navigateand as a 75 year old I can highly recommend.
