Save energy while on vacation
Vacation mode helps to prevent energy wastage on your fridge when you are away. Do ensure all the food in your fridge are removed before you use 'Vacation Mode'. Do note that 'Vacation Mode' will be disabled if the temperature is adjusted.
Try it:
-To activate 'Vacation Mode': Press and hold 'Vacation' for 3 seconds. The fridge temperature will be maintained under 17℃.
-To deactivate 'Vacation Mode': Press and hold 'Vacation' for 3 seconds. The fridge temperature will return to its previous settings.
Add forgotten laundry to the wash
If you forgot to add a few more items after you’ve started the wash, don’t sweat it. Use your AddWashTMdoor to pop in more clothing items, or add more softener.
Try it:
- Press Pause
- Press the 'Add Door' to open the door
- After putting in what you need, close the door and press 'Start' to resume the cycle
Defeat the toughest of stains
To take care of stubborn stains on your clothes, you need a more powerful wash. Use your washing machine’s 'Intensive Wash' feature to get your clothes clean and spotless again.
Try it:
-Select your wash cycle as normal
-Press the 'Intensive Wash' button
-Press 'Start'
Select the best wash cycle
Not sure which wash cycle to choose? Use ‘Wi-Fi® Smart Control’ on your SmartThings15 app to get the optimal settings16 you need to make laundry a breeze.
Try it:
- On your SmartThings app15, select ‘Wi-Fi® Smart Control’
- Tap 'Laundry Recipe'
- Select the types of clothing ,colour and soil-level
- Tap 'Get Recipe'
Keep your laundry germ-free
Use your washing machine’s powerful Hygiene Steam Cycle function to give your clothes a deep and hygienic clean. This cycle releases steam which reduces allergens and up to 99.9% of common bacteria17.
Try it:
- Turn the Cycle Selector dial to 'Hygiene Steam'
- Select 'Start'
Set your wash to end just as you get home
Organise your laundry schedule. Use the 'Delay End' feature on your washing machine to set your preferred end time and let it do the rest.
Try it:
- After selecting the wash cycle, press the 'Delay End' button repeatedly until you select the desired time
- Press the 'Start' button
Wash delicate items with care
For clothing items that need gentle handling such as silk, undergarments, and hand-wash only fabrics, make sure you use liquid detergent and select the 'Delicates/Handwash' cycle.
Try it:
- Turn the Cycle Selector dial to 'Delicates/Handwash'
- Select 'Start'
Keep your washing machine running quietly
Your washing machine was designed to be quiet but if it’s too close to other objects, that could cause some noise. Additionally, metal-decorated items or loose coins could also be the reason.
Try it:
- Move your washing machine away from other objects
- Empty all pockets before you start the wash
Maintain your washing machine’s health
'Smart Check' feature allows you to quickly diagnose any issues with your washing machine and offer easy ways to resolve them.
Try it:
- Download the 'Samsung Smart Washer' app18 on your phone
- Tap 'Smart Check' and follow the instructions to get started
Keep your washing machine clean
Your washing machine needs a wash too. Run the 'Eco Tub Clean' feature when the LED indicator is blinking to keep it free from detergent buildup.
Try it:
- Select 'Eco Tub Clean' on your dial
- Press 'Start'
Keep your kids safe during wash
Make safety a priority. Turn on the 'Child Lock' feature of your washing machine to restrict access to the doors and prevent changes to your selected wash cycle.
Try it:
- Press and hold ‘Temp and Rinse/ Spin’ buttons at the same time for 3 seconds
Get intelligent meal planning at your fingertips
Keep the meal ideas flowing with Family HubTM. Get 'Smart Recipes' recommended based on your dietary preferences and what’s in your fridge, generate shopping lists and more.
Try it:
- Tap the 'Meal Planner' app
- Select your preferences and tap the 'Quick Plan' icon
- Get a weekly meal plan based on your dietary preferences
Set the optimal temperature to keep your food fresh
If leftovers spoil too quickly and ice cream never seems to freeze properly, adjust your temperature settings. The correct temperature will keep your food fresher for longer.
Try it:
- Touch the 'Freezer Convert' button repeatedly until you find your desired temperature
Choose from a variety of storage modes
Whenever you need extra fridge space, your fridge’s Smart Conversion gives you maximum flexibility ‘Smart Conversion’ feature. You can also switch your fridge off to save on energy when you go on holiday.
Try it:
- Press the 'Freezer to Fridge' button for 3 seconds
Chill or freeze food quickly
If you need to chill your drinks or firm up your ice cream in an instant, your fridge’s 'Power Cool' and 'Power Freeze' features will do the job at the touch of a button.
Try it:
- To activate, hold the 'Power Cool' or 'Power Freeze' button for 3 seconds until the light turns on
- To deactivate, hold the 'Power Cool' or 'Power Freeze' button again for 3 seconds
Display your family photos and videos on your FamilyHubTM
Customise your fridge’s 'Family Board' to your liking. Upload your favourite photos and videos of the family holiday, leave notes for each other, and more.
Try it:
- Install the Family HubTM app19 on your phone
- Open the Family HubTM app and tap 'All'
- Tap 'Upload Photos' or 'Upload Video' and select your desired pictures or videos
Stay on top of your family’s schedules
Never miss an important family event. Organise and keep track of your family’s schedules on your refrigerator's Family HubTM screen panel or smartphone.
Try it:
- On your Family HubTM screen20, tap 'Calendar' to view schedules, and tap 'Add Event' to create a new event
- Alternatively, sync your schedule with either Google or Microsoft 365 calendar and it will be updated with your personalised colour-coded entry.
Stream music on your fridge
Enjoy endless entertainment in your kitchen. Play your favourite songs and make cooking even more fun.
Try it:
- On your Family Hub™ screen, tap on Spotify21 or TuneIn apps .
- Sign in to your music account and start playing your favourite songs
- You can also connect to external speaker using Bluetooth® connectivity
Prevent accidental setting changes
Many of your refrigerator's features can be locked for safety. Activate 'Child Lock'
feature to prevent access to power settings, water and ice dispensers, and more.
Try it:
- To activate, press the 'Child Lock' button for 3 seconds until the light turns on
- To deactivate, press and hold the 'Child Lock' button for 3 seconds
Keep your groceries fresher for longer
Your refrigerator has compartments offering ideal temperature and humidity control. Organise your groceries accordingly for optimum freshness.
Try it:
- Store meat and fish in the storage drawer to maintain their texture and keep them ready to cook
- Place vegetables and fruits in the vegetable box to stay crisp and fresh
Control your FamilyHubTM from your phone
Manage your fridge on-the-go. Get reminders when it’s time to restock, know when a door has been left open and enable the flexibility to adjust settings through the SmartThings app15 on your phone.
Try it:
-On the SmartThings app15, tap 'Add Device'

Mirror images to your TV with a single tap
Mirror your phone’s screen with just a gentle tap against the side of your TV. Activating Tap View13 is quick, easy, and amazing.
Try it: On the SmartThings1 app on your phone, go to Menu > Settings > Turn on Tap View13

Give your blank TV screen a makeover. Magic Screen4 allows you to add a little bit of style to your living space.

Control your TV from any room in the house
With the SmartThings app1 connected to your phone and TV, you can control the volume, turn the TV on and off and even change channels from your phone. Step 1: (On your TV) Settings > System > Samsung Account > Sign in Step 2: (On Your Phone) Open SmartThings App1 > Devices
Install the apps you use often
You can add apps to your TV's home screen where they're easier to access. Settings > Choose App > Add to Home
Control what everyone watches
Control what and when the kids can watch TV by locking certain apps. You can do this by clicking on the Settings gear icon, selecting “Lock” and then entering your TV Pin. Note, the default TV Pin is “0000”.
