How to record, play back, and share voice recordings on your Samsung Galaxy phone

Your Galaxy phone lets you record voice memos and play back voice recordings. With the app, you can record important meetings or personal notes, organise saved recordings, and share audio files with others through text messages or social networking apps. You can also find voice recordings through the My Files app.

How to record a voice memo

Use the Voice Recorder app to create voice memos and organise your recordings directly on your Galaxy phone. To record a voice memo, follow the steps below.

Step 1. Tap the Voice Recorder app.

Step 2. Tap the Record icon to start recording.

Step 3. To stop recording, tap the Stop button.

Step 4. Check the file name, then tap Save.

Step 5. You can check the recorded file.

How to play or share voice recordings

The Voice Recorder app allows you to access voice recordings created on your device. You can also play back each recording directly in the app.

Step 1. Tap the Voice Recorder app.

Step 2. Select a voice recording file.

Step 3. Tap the Play button to listen to the recording.

Step 4. To share a recording, tap and hold it, then tap Share.

Note:

  • The Voice Recorder app can be downloaded and installed from the Galaxy Store.
  • Touch and hold a recorded file to delete it or share it with others.

How to find voice recordings using the My Files app

You can use the My Files app to directly access voice recordings saved on your Galaxy phone.

Step 1. Tap the My Files app.

Step 2. Tap Internal storage.
