I only have three problems/complaints. I am hard of hearing. Should have researched more before purchase but man in shop assured me the sound was great. Not really, can't turn volume up enough for me to hear clearly on phone calls. Fortunately it links really well to my Samsung tablet which has great volume so Imake phone calls o.pn tablet when at home. Would have preferred a smaller phone for ease of carrying while dog walking. Also don't like new charging cable, had to invest in a plug as well as paying for phone. USB sizes should be Pen9universal. Also can't plug into car to charge.

Looks good and has good battry backup but slow and doesnot support wireless payment. In this modern era what do I do with this phone which doesnot even support Google pay.Whatever people might call it but my honest review after using it for 7 months, it is good for people looking for average or average phone

The Galaxy A14 does indeed support wireless payments using the NFC feature. If you do not wish you use Samsung Pay, you can download Google Pay from the Google Play Store. When you want to use Google Pay, you just need to enable NFC, which can be done very easily. Simple drag down with two fingers from the top of the Home Screen, swipe until you see the NFC icon and tap it. The icon will turn blue once active. I struggled at first as the phone comes with no instruction manual. I am 76 years old and whilst I have had a Galaxy phone before, everything seems to have changed to make the changeover very stressful and unnecessarily complex. My use of the device is limited, so difficult for me to 'get the hang of it'.

When my A12 died I decided to stick with Samsung since I had been really happy with my previous phone and, if I am honest, I was being a little lazy sticking to what I knew. The phone itself works just as well as you would expect. The camera is ok for my uses and the phone handles what I use it for which is just calling, whatsApp and facebook. I am under no illusions, this phone is cheap and cheerful, but it gets me through the day much like my old A12 did. I was however surprised and a little disappointed that the A14 doesn't support contactless payments when the A12 did. It seemed really strange that this feature, which is so widely used everywhere would have been omitted. Even my husband's Fitbit supports contactless payments. This is really frustrating for me and I feel a little cheated since the old A series did support this. In truth I would have been better off saving some cash and replacing like for like, sticking to the A12. I kinda thought a newer phone from the same range and make would be an upgrade. I was wrong. I will keep this phone for now but will probably shop around more when it comes time to upgrade.
