Notwithstanding its superb build quality and powerful specs, the Ultra was just a little too big and unwieldy for me to carry around. However, the 8+ is a perfect balance of similar specs in a more manageable size unit. It has the same blazingly fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor but with just half the Ultra's 16Gb RAM. Not that that slows it down at all. My only criticism is that the optional slim keyboard case is not back-lit, which is a problem when working in dim lighting conditions. It was a criticism of earlier tablets but Samsung has chosen not to address the issue. An expensive piece of kit but worth every penny. You do actually get what you pay for!

We are pleased to see that the excellent balance of specs and features of the incredible Galaxy Tab S8+ makes it the perfect tablet for your daily life, Alan! This fantastic piece of technology comes with an incredible 12.4" Super AMOLED Display, Snapdragon® 8 Gen processor and 8GB of RAM; more than enough to keep up with your daily needs in the smartest way possible. We also appreciate that you would have liked the 2-in-1 Book Cover Keyboard to be back-lit to be easier to use in dim light. From our end, we will certainly make sure to pass this feedback on to our relevant department so we can use it to amaze you even more with our future products and technology. ^CL at Samsung Support

Not overly impressed. Im no techno, but need larger than a phone. I love the pencil. But i have a motorhome an used to charge my ipad in the usb socket. Ive had samsung phone forr years, love it. But as this needs a high powered plug i cant take it with me. I wanted to send it back for something i could use, but seller AO would only give me half my money back. This is far too advanced for someone of my age (70yrsand lack of tech knowledge) ..if only you would makesomething large in size, easy to use, without so much techno. Im so struggling with not being able to charge my tablet from my motorhome, for me its a waste of alot of money. Charge doesnt last as long as i thought it would either

Very impressed! Alll my data contacts etc etc have come across seamlessly which was a worry. There is really nothing to complain about, it’s obviously a learning experience coming from iOS but the power and functionality is massive. This is a really high end product in every respect! A bit weird that they don’t give you a standard type A charge cable with it but this is a very trivial observation. Most people will probably need to buy a standard charge cable to go with it since the world over type A outlets are still the standard.

We are thrilled to see that you decided to enter our wonderful Galaxy of devices, and you've done it in great style with the amazing Galaxy Tab S8+! It is only a matter of time before you will master all the greatest features and functions available on this tablet powered by the ultra-smart Android 12 operating system! We also decided not to include a charger in the box to minimise the impact of products on the environment and to promote better recycling habits. We recommend using a 45W charger to power up the massive 10,090mAh battery capacity the fastest way. If you would like to have any assistance with making the most of your tablet, or have any questions, one of our knowledgeable Support Teams are always happy to help. I like the screen size and how easy it is to attach the keyboard. Screen is nice and clear and responsive to touch. I like that you can put your own micro SD card in it, to add to its storage capacity. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of an issue with screen timeout. When I set this to 10 minutes, while I'm using the device it remains on 10 minutes, however when not using the device this automatically reverts back to a default of 1 minute. I find this so annoying.

There's plenty of versatility and flexibility to be found with your Tab S8+, so you can get unique experiences with whatever you use it for. The attachable keyboard adds whole dimensions of what you can use it for, so it can keep you entertained, stay in touch with your world, or even help you manage your day. The SD card slot means that you can store even more of your memories, music, or regular data. We're happy to take on board your comment regarding the screen timeout, so we can keep on providing our customers with everything that they'd want. ^DB at Samsung Support

I am really enjoying my new Samsung galaxy tab 8. The extra size as opposed to my old ipad is great. The extra few inches does add a great deal to your vision and bigger lettering. The only thing I regret regarding my ipad pro is that I didn't get the Samsung galaxy tab 8 sooner! Thank you for my lovely experience and I hope to be with my new tablet for a long time. Samsung Tab S8 + is great. I love Samsung in general so the Tab is bigger phone version. Unluckily I do have some problems with a pen, sometimes is not connecting with the Tab so I cannot work smoothly. And I have a big problem with the Samsung cover from the Tablet. I would not recommend. Is really uncomfortable and tablet is slipping all the time.

I love my tab. It's a huge upgrade on my iPad. It's lightweight, big enough to watch TV streaming and ideal for playing music and games. However, I lost my pen within two weeks. Why it isn't inserted into the decide like my Samsung S22, I'll never know. The magnet isn't strong enough and sadly it is now gone. Other than that, I can't fault it.

Welcome to our Galaxy of tablets, and we're very pleased to see that your new Tab S8+ has made your journey over to us as pleasant as your experience with our smartphones. Because of the slender design of the tablet we had to be more creative with the positioning of the S-Pen, but can understand your frustration if this has caused you to lose it. We are glad that this hasn't diminished your enjoyment of watching videos, listening to music, and gaming with it too much, and hope it keeps amazing you the more you explore its capabilities. ^DB at Samsung Support

A very good compromise in term of size in a beautifully designed high end package. Magnificent display, excellent sound and brilliant technology. Truly useful S-Pen. Upgraded from my trusty S5e, and the performance boost is notable, to be expected given this is top of the current line... but really enhances the experience. Screen is noticeably bigger, and the S pen is a nice addition (though I do t use it that much as yet - still experimenting with drawing and handwriting).

Great sound, speed is excellent and the graphics and colours are so vibrant it's hard to find anything wrong with it. I purchased the additional keyboard which is magnetic and doubles up as a case which is great. Go and get one, they are far better than the other leading brand. I am now a convert.

The design of this tablet is way off and while the screen is nice it is awkward to hold and use as they have taken the aspect too wide, i like it wider but this is not good for use. IT's also more expensive and less powerful than the competition and you get a gimicky s pen to sit in a drawer somewhere. Lastly the fact that they don't include a charger for a tablet where they are advertising fast charging as a feature is ridiculous. And this will require a new charger, an old one wont do and both sides need to be usb - c which is not common yet. Samsung's line is that they are looking after the environment and customers asked for this, well there is no reduction on price, you are encouraging people to buy a new one and you include a silly pen that the majority of people wont use, so which part of this looks after the environment. Lets face it if Samsung cared about the environment they would stop pumping out new tablets and phones every few months. I wont ever buy another samsung product.

We do understand your concerns regarding the environment, which is one of the reasons why we do not supply a new charger with each new release, as we had received feedback from many customers stating that they felt they were getting a household full of old chargers, and that the mass production of them wasn't environmentally friendly, so we've listened to this feedback and adapted our approach. We wanted the screen to offer our largest display yet, so that the Tab S8 Plus can offer the most immersive display imaginable, for anything you would use the tablet for. The S Pen does also significantly open up the amount of ways you can browse, or use the tablet, but we can understand if this is not to everyone's taste. We don't offer a stylus for every tablet, so as to offer something for everyone's own wants or needs. ^DB at Samsung Support

It's great to see that you are happy and satisfied with your amazing Galaxy Tab S8+! This fantastic tablet comes with an immersive 12.4" AMOLED Display which is powered by the 4nm processor and the massive 10,090 mAh to give you a smooth and flawless experience like never before. We also appreciate that, while watching You Tube, the videos stop occasionally while you are connected to the Wi-Fi. If this issue is limited to the You Tube app only, we recommend making sure it is fully up to date: Google Play Store > Click on your profile icon (top-right) > Manage apps and devices > Manage > Update You Tube. After this, we recommend switching to your mobile data to see if the You Tube connection improves and, if it does, it is possible that more than one device is connected to the Wi-Fi using a consistent amount of data. We recommend disconnecting other devices from the Wi-Fi to see if the smoothness of the videos improves. We are confident this will help. My Tab S8+ ?? Surely you should know that I took it in for repair. You couldn't fix it, so you gave me a Tab S9 FE+ instead. "GAVE" - for what was my clumsy mistake. I'm thrilled with my new S9 FE+
