Good looking -visually pleasing, and high-quality design large, easy-to-use knob controls. The two pieces of corner-to-corner cast iron grates allows you to smoothly slide cookware around the surface. 4 burners from very powerful to very small for simmering handle different cooking needs. There are some shortcomings with the arrangement of the burners. The front burners and the back burners are too close together. You may not be able to use the 2 burners that are on the same side at the same time if one port is large then 7 inch in size.

The grate covers the entire cooktop, so pans are in no danger of sliding off a burner or tipping over if you don’t quite set them down just right. The stainless steel is flat, with no places for spills to puddle. We tend to use the larger burners more than the smaller ones, so I appreciate that the two larger burners are in the front, rather than cater-corner with one in front and the other in the back.

The flames are a decent height. The only down fall was the cord for it to be plugged in was to short so we had to move the wall plug closer. We are very happy with this cook top. It performs better than I thought would. It’s easy to clean also. I would recommend this to family and friends and I would buy it again in the future if needed

The grates are very nice, and the stainless steel looks fantastic. The flame that comes out on the high setting quickly boils water compared to my last cooktop. I use the cooktop at least once a day if not more. The grates sit high but look nice. I have the 4 burner, 30 inch model with the controls in the front. My one gripe with the unit is that the burners are a bit too close together. I have a hard time using a large pan and then a small pot or pan on the rear burner. I must cook gluten free for myself and regular for my family, so I usually cook 2 meals. I am finding I must cook my meal first, then my family’s meal due to the space constraints. For most people this probably won’t be an issue. Overall, I love the cooktop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've using the Samsung 30" gas cook top for about 30 days and it works as advertised. The unit itself is pretty basic, 4 burners, electric start etc. A few things we like about it is the grate that your pan sits on is heavy iron which is good for placing hot plates and pans on. We also like the way the burners come apart for cleaning. The burners are also arranged so that you have a simmer, medium flame and two heavy flame burners when you want to cook something fast. The burners are easy to take apart and clean. The issues we have with the cook top are 1) the grates are heavy and 2) when you have a pan on the grate, it is difficult to see the intensity of the flame . We installed the unit ourselves and it was easy. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. If you're looking for a no frills cook top, we would recommend this unit.

It looks so good in my kitchen. I’m so happy that I got this cook top. The flame is a good size when you use it which I believe helps heat up the pans and pots faster. It’s easy for me to clean and keep clean. I would recommend this cook top to anyone who was looking to buy one. The only think I wish could be improved was a longer power cord because we had to move our outlet plug closer which cost us more money because the power cord wasn’t long enough to reach the wall outlet in our older house. The installation was a breeze. I like the size of the nobs on here. I would buy this again if I ever need to get another one in the future when this one breaks one day.

My last cooktop was outdated and looked rough. This one looks amazing. It heats up faster that my previous cooktop which is a huge plus. The stainless steel looks great. The grates are high and pronounced. My only gripe is that the unit is a bit small. It is difficult to use the front and back burners at the same time if using large pans. I did not have that issue with my old unit. Besides that, this unit is amazing and I would recommend it. Update: After using the cooktop some more I have come to love having the controls in the front as opposed to on the side like my last cook top. They are easier to get to, but one trade off is less burner space. the sealed burners are very nice and cleanup is a breeze. It takes me less than 5 minutes to clean the cooktop.

The grates are short and my pots aren’t able to sit side by side. On the lowest setting, it causes everything to boil . There is no way to simmer anything. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop replaced another brand with a tempered glass top, which had shattered after boiling water was spilled on it. Installation was simple: turn off the gas, disconnect the line, unplug the electric cord (powers burner ignition), lift out the old unit. Put the new unit in, connect and turn on the gas, plug in the cord. The stainless steel is attractive and easy to clean. The burners don't sit in separate wells, so there isn't a problem with grease pooling. The heavy metal grate gives a level surface, so pans can easily be slid from any burner across the surface. The grate retains heat for a bit, so in that sense it somewhat acts like an electric cooktop. The grate is large enough that the cooking surface is a couple inches higher than our previous unit, which is noticeable from my wheelchair. Yesterday I made Swedish pancakes, and that extra height made it a little bit harder to see and reach into the pan. This unit has 4 burners with the knobs in the front, and heats up easily. I'm enjoying it.

I recently did kitchen remodel. Bought all Samsung appliances. When we installed the cooktop it had scratches. It continues to get more and more scratches just from general use. See others have this issue. Something is wrong with finish and Samsung should own up to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our new cooktop a couple weeks now and absolutely love it! It replaces a 15 year old builder grade cooktop and was a super easy install process. Disconnected and pulled out the old one, and just dropped this one into place and made the connections. It is sleek and modern looking. and has instantly upgraded the look of my kitchen. I love the continuous surface grates, they are heavy duty and have a nice finish. They allow me to slide my pots and pans around, and even move them to the side. The burners themselves are so easy to control and tweak, and have a much higher BTU output than any other cooktop I have had. A large pot of water came to a boil quickly, and I was able to control it down to a simmer very easily. I was also able to melt chocolate on the small burner without scorching it or having to use a double boiler. I love that the control knobs are in the front, I don't have to reach over anything to reach them. They operate smoothly and the backlighting makes it is easy to see what they are set at, especially at night. They are really great because I don't have to go right up to the stove to see if I left a burner on. Speaking of - I NEVER thought I would use SmartConnect, but after downloading the app into my iphone and "practicing" I have found it helpful for monitoring what the burners are doing. Both the burners trays, grates, burners and knobs are really easy to clean and look good as new after cleaning. The finish matches my Samsung fridge perfectly.I am really happy with my choice! Actually DH is as well, he is even getting into the cooking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love our new cooktop, what an upgrade from our old contractor grade one. I do the majority of cooking in our house because I love trying new recipes, new cuisines, creating healthy meals for my family and this cooktop has made a world of difference. The controls are so easy to use and the burners super easy to control to maintain a boil, or a simmer, or whatever you call it when you are melting chocolate at a barely there flame. I like the blue light around the knobs, it makes it easy to see just what they are set on from a distance (and they look pretty cool as well) The grates are heavy duty and the continuous grill makes it easy to slide pots and pans around without lifting them. That is a huge plus when you want to move a giant cast iron dutch oven from a high flame to the small flame burner in the back just to keep things warm. The continuous grate also lets me leave pots or pans just on the grate while using all 4 burners. Saves me from putting a hot pot on the counter while finishing meal preparation. The stainless steel finish is sleek and smooth and cleans up easily, no little seams and crevices for gunk to get caught in. The finish brightens the whole space. I do have to stay in regard to cleanup- I have had far fewer boilovers since getting this cooktop because of how accurately the burners can be controlled, so less mess, less cleanup. It took less time to install it than it took to remove our old cooktop. Dropped it in and hooked it up. My wife uses the wifi feature to monitor the burners and timing. She likes it as she does not feel like she has to be sitting in the kitchen staring at it. We are both more than happy, we are delighted with the looks, function and durability of our new Samsung cooktop. (Now I need to buy new cookware-old stuff works fine but I want EVERYTHING to look spiffy)
