I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This is a really well designed oven that has clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Everything we have cooked with it so far has turned out really well, and a lot of the special features are actually useful, and make a difference to daily cooking. The most obvious feature is the dual cooking capability - slot in the divider and you can now cook at two different temperatures in one single oven - great for anyone with a normal sized kitchen, that doesn't have space for a range cooker! There are so many times when cooking meals in the oven that you need two different temperatures, and normally have to make compromises, usually resulting in underdone or overcooked food. This solves this problem, and works really well. You can even set separate timers on each half of the oven. Another major feature of this oven is the smart capabilities. The most useful of which I'd say is the notifications. Often in the past I would turn the oven on to start preheating and walk off to do something else, and forget about it for 20 minutes, wasting time and energy. As soon as this oven is ready, it makes a noise and pings any connected devices with a notification. Obviously when timers you have set run out, these pop up on your phone/tablet/whatever else you've connected as well, to let you know your food is ready. The Smartthings app is full of recipes and instructions to use the different features of the oven also. You can turn the oven on and off with the app, but the utility of this is slightly limited for safety reasons - you have to press a button on the oven to enable controlling it remotely, which is fine, except it switches off automatically every time the oven finishes cooking. This means you have to press it again if you are going to want to turn the oven on remotely (eg. to preheat it) next time you use it. This doesn't need to be enabled for other features however, like monitoring the temperatures, notifications, or seeming how much time is left. There are a number of other features which stand out as well, like the telescopic rail near the bottom to get things in and out more easily, and cleaning cycles to save on oven cleaner and elbow grease! One feature I really like is the rotisserie spit - there is a little hole at the back of the oven that this fits into, with a frame to hold it in place. This is a nice touch, and works really well. As you might expect, there are a couple of niggles, but mainly things I expect (hope) Samsung can iron out with updates. I'd really like the finished cooking notifications to be more persistent, like an alarm where it keeps making a noise until you turn it off, so they're harder to miss. The sounds on the oven are a little quiet as well, making this more important. I would also like to be able to use my smart speakers to control the oven, although I am having difficulty connecting them at the moment. This could be caused by a number of external factors, I just can't tell at the moment. Overall, I have been really pleased with the oven, and look forward to cooking many more meals with it!

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. Firstly the oven looks great! the light up, touch display and flush knobs look very modern and it is a lovely focal point in our kitchen. The oven has some great features such as WiFi connectivity and quick pre-heat which are welcome additions to our busy family life! Our favourite part has to be the rotisserie! we don't need to buy them from the supermarket anymore. they taste just as good and everyone wants to come to us for Sunday lunch now! The Pyrolitic liners are a dream and make the clean up effortless. We do have a couple of moans, firstly you don't receive a grill pan which is something we got with the older model previously and would expect with a high end oven like this. Secondly the top of the bottom door is not sealed glass so on making bacon we did encounter some fat running down in between the panes and it wasn't easy to remove! Thirdly the Alarms are very quiet and are easily missed in our 3 storey home, our old Samsung oven had a continuous alarm until you turned it off and so we are still missing these notifications.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This is an excellent oven, full of really helpful features and with few negative points. Firstly, it is really very intuitive and easy to use; the left dial sets the mode and the right, the temperature. The display gives information, at a glance, about the current settings. As I have used it more over the past week I have found myself setting it up using my phone via the Samsung SmartThings app. This was easy to set up, my phone found the oven almost immediately, and allows you to set and monitor the oven whilst doing other things. For instance, it gives notifications when the oven has reached the correct temperature and when the timer has finished. The only downside with this, a safety feature I presume, is that this needs to be activated by pressing a button on the front of the oven and this 'times out' after a period meaning that you cannot set your oven to preheat whilst on the train home! The accessories included with the oven: two universal trays, a wire rack and a rotating spit for roasting are sufficient for most things but a grill pan or wire insert for one of the trays would have been a welcome addition, perhaps instead of the spit which I cannot see myself using very often. The oven itself preheats quickly and there is a 'fast preheat' function which gets to temperature within minutes, albeit at increased energy consumption. The temperature seems consistent throughout and my food has turned out well. There are options as to how the oven should be heated (forced air only, forced air + bottom/top element, eco mode) and thus far I have found including the bottom element to be useful in baking bread and the top element when roasting chicken breasts to give more direct heat in addition to the convection. The only issue I have had so far has been, in positioning my bread directly in front of the fan, the rear of the loaf was more well-done than the front. These things happen in getting to know a new oven and next time I will either shift it or try without the convection heating. Possibly the star feature of this oven, the 'dual cook' option, whereby you can effectively split the oven in two and have different temperatures in the bottom and top halves, is better than I initially thought it might be. The oven maintains the two temperatures well, with the addition of a dividing insert in the centre, and the split door allows access to the top half only; I can see this being useful when baking cakes etc which are sensitive to opening the door, although I can see this being most helpful in cooking Sunday roasts. All-in-all, despite a few relatively minor flaws, this is proving an excellent oven and one which I shall be happy to use for many years

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. We have used it to cook a lot of dishes in the last week. The oven heats up from cold in less than 5 minutes and the food has consistently cooked well. The touch panel controls are really easy to use too, and they are logically and clearly laid out. The main thing we have noticed is that our food has been far less dried out than in our old oven. The main reason for this is the 'Dual Cook Flex' feature. This allows so much flexibility as we could use the oven as one large oven, or convert it into two smaller ovens by simply sliding the Dual Cook Flex shelve into the middle. The benefits of the Dual Cook feature over a regular single oven are: 1) Cooking using a different temperature in each section at the same time (avoiding a temperature somewhere in between what two dishes actually need, which often causes food to dry out, or even burn!). 2) Grill in the top, whilst baking in the bottom section. 3) For smaller meals you can cook using the top section on it's own (saving energy by only heating the smaller top section instead of the whole oven). 4) The hinged mid-opening door allows you to open the top section without interrupting food cooking in the bottom section WiFi connectivity has also been great to have. The oven can be controlled via the SmartThings app on a smartphone via WiFi. You can remotely start/stop the oven from the app, but I didn't see much use for that as you still need to put food in/take food out at both of those times. For me, the smart features REALLY excelled on smartphone notifications. We have a three storey house and when we are upstairs we have often missed the buzzer when cooking is done. This ovens in-app notifications feature gave us reliable and clear messages on both of our smartphones (and also on my smartwatch) so we never missed the end of cooking! It was great being able to monitor the oven from upstairs in the app as we could check on the temperatures and see the remaining cooking time - that has been very useful! The app also shows you a wide range of dishes which you can send direct to the oven. It then heats up to the correct temperature while you prepare the dish from the instructions. You then put the dish in when the oven alerts you to and remove it when it says it has finished. We used this option to make two dishes we haven't made before, a potato gratin and a homemade pizza (with home proved dough) They both came out perfectly! The telescopic tray (a tray that slides in and out) was another nice feature. I would struggle without this in the future, it made access to larger/heavier dishes so MUCH easier! We haven't used the oven enough to be able to test the cleaning features yet (a lighter steam clean, or the more serious pyrolytic clean that burns the dirt off for an easy clean up). I expect both of these will make keeping it clean really easy. Negatives are few and far between... but we did find a few. The oven is fantastic, but it does have a few small issues. - There is no grill pan insert provided. We used the supplied wire rack to make cheese on toast instead, but that made a lot of mess. (I have now bought a well priced compatible grill pan insert locally, but this is something that should come with an oven at this price point!) - The oven-based cooking notifications (alerting to the end of cooking) are way too quiet. The playful tune rarely caught our attention if we were out of the kitchen. The phone app notifications more than made up for this though, as we never missed those (except for the separate hourglass timer notifications which don't come through to the app!? - PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE SAMSUNG!!) - The folding door has a gap between the glass at the midway point. While we haven't done it yet, I feel that it's only a matter of time before we fold down the top half of the door and spill something inside the gap! The manual says to get a stick with a wet cloth to clean down there, but I can't help feeling that a cover or protective approach would have been a much better approach) Despite a few minor niggles, the oven really is fantastic. It is easy to work, it cooks well and it looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I was in the market for a replacement oven!

We purchased the Samsung N5641 after finding our current oven was not maintaining temp throughout cooking. As we have a small galley style kitchen we decided to go for a replacement oven with a bit more flexibility. We decided to purchase both the Samsung compact oven/Microwave and the N5641 dual cook. We've had both now for approx. 2 weeks and although we haven't tested all the functions yet, from what we have used, I feel confident in saying that this is an outstanding oven. Had no issues reading and using the touch display on either device. Overall, very easy to use and would highly recommend this appliance, especially if you have a smaller kitchen.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. I was sceptical about a "smart" oven at first but after just a week or so using the oven, I am now convinced. The oven itself is sleek with easy-to-use familiar controls, a neat "Dual-Cook" option for cooking 2 different items at different temperatures at the same time. This is also easy to use with a removable insert that separates the 2 sections of the oven. My only gripe is that, there is nowhere within the oven itself to store this when it's not needed (not a huge problem, just one extra thing to find a home for). When you do use it, the "smart" oven detects the prescence of the insert and automatically gives you access to 2 different temperature settings via the front control screen. That screen is clear and sharp and is also a touch screen for some of the extra controls. The oven also has a brilliant "fast preheat" option which really does save time compared to a normal oven when waiting for it to come up to temperature. We found it could preheat to 200 degrees C in just a couple of minutes! The other great feature is the Smarthings functionality. Using the Samsung Smarthings app you can connect the oven to your wifi (quick and easy to do with no hunting around for router passwords), and the monitor and control the oven remotely. You can preheat the oven when you're on your way home, or just really engrossed in something on the TV, as long as it is enabled on the oven. The oven is also "smart" on other ways. I love the simple addition of a light button on the front, so you can turn on the oven light to see how things are cooking without the need to leave it on all the time or open the door. There is also a built in oven tray attached to an easy-glide rolling pull out shelf - making it even easir to get things in and out of the oven. Samsung have really thought about some of the things that make cooking easier with this oven. It's smart in many ways and not all of them are about the technology.

I have two Samsung phones, two Samsung Tablets and two large Samsung TVs, so I believed I would be getting a first class piece of kit, especially for the amount of money I paid, however, my natural expectation of a useable (ie: backlit) touch display was sadly crushed and I can't believe that this cooker comes without the facility to see the selection (touch) buttons on either side of the central display. It affects usability to the extent that I am actively considering returning the cooker as being mis-sold on the basis of the lack of a useable interface!! Compare the difference of backlit clock and the menu buttons!! Definitely NOT happy with this purchase!!

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This oven can do almost anything, except play DVD's. Going from an oven that had an off and on switch and a temperature control dial, this oven is the bee knees. It is so feature packed. I think the only issue that caused me a problem was the fact the the shape of the oven. Our old oven had a recess at the top back so this like a gas pipe from the stove above wouldn't interfere with it, this however is very square and left no room to accommodate the the gas pipe meaning we I had to hack up the the kitchen a little to get it installed but that was a small price to pay for what the oven does and how it will benefit us in the future. My house is mostly smart and never really thought about a smart oven. But now my opinion has definitely changed on that. Having the ability to turn the oven on and get it ready to cook without going in to the kitchen is a game changer. The preheat time of the oven is immensely fast, in the past I would think of something to eat that would require the oven but then decided against it because of how long the oven would take to get to temp even when the old oven was new. One of the first features i tried was the rotisserie. After buy many of these in the past from the supermarket, I can honestly say, making your own is much much nicer and doesn't take long at all. Other than user error of not securing the chicken very well in the spit, it cooked beautifully. The Dual Cook function is genius, being able to cook 2 different things at different temperatures in something that is a single oven size is the future. The app for the oven is very useful for even the novice cooks out there (like myself). It has recipes that guide you through each step of preparation and when you get to the end has the ability to send the cooking time and temp setting ready to just put it in and cook. As it is early days for the app, it does need some tweaking, things like how many people the recipe serves and what size bakeware you need to use. Not tried working the grill out yet as our old oven had a specific setting and a specific grill pan that you used. This came with 2 wire racks, 2 baking trays, a rotisserie frame (that spins) and the Dual Cook divider. Would have like to have seen a grill pan come with it but not a major issue, just means we have to adapt. I have tried the self clean pyrolytic function once but the oven wasn't that dirty to start. Be prepared as it generates a strong smell and a bit of smoke so I would say have a door or large window open ready. It seemed to burn off any excess grease and grime but time will tell as it gets used more. The Telescopic rail is a really nice touch for those larger item that you may be cooking especially as Christmas nears (i know it's only November) and some people will be cooking large turkeys. The physical controls on the oven are very intuitive and guide you through the steps, I do think it would be useful to have the quick cook functions listed on the display as a scrolling mess rather than a letter and a number like A4 for frozen pizza. Overall I don't think people will be disappointed with this if they had it.
