After approximately one month of use, the right half of the monitor screen developed vertical stripes and became unusable. As a result, I am returning the product. Based on several online reviews, this appears to be a recurring quality control issue with Samsung monitors.

This display is wrongly advertised as 120Hz, when in reality it only supports 60Hz when connected with USB-C. This information is not availble anywhere on the page and frankly looks like false advertising to me, because I bought it being fully sure I am buying a 120 Hz screen and I wanted to use it mainly with USB-C. The only place you can ready about 60 Hz limitation is the manual, but who download and read manuals before buying a product? You cannot use 120 Hz with HDMI cable inluded, because HDMI does not support 120 Hz either. To use 120Hz you need to connect it with DP, but DP cable is not included in the package (in Finland), so you cannot even use 120 Hz out of the box.

Der Bildschirm wurde gewählt, weil er einen USB C Anschluss hat und damit das Samsung Galaxy S25 direkt angeschlossen werden kann. Ziel war es, einen neuen Computer einzusparen und das Dex zu nutzen. Das funktioniert relativ gut. Der Bildschirm scheint aber zu groß für das Galaxy zu sein oder die passende Auflösung ist nicht vorhanden, obwohl das Programm Good Lock heruntergeladen wurde. Dex kann also nicht die gesamte Breite des Bildschirms nutzen und es bleiben breite schwarze Ränder.

I am surprised at all the negative reviews. i don't play games, i am an MCAD designer so i don't care about refresh rate, pixel response, or v sync. I do care about PPI, brightness, contrast, color gamut, etc. I bought this monitor because of the 5k resolution, gigantic size, and most importantly, the built in KVM. I have only 2 negative comments. 1) The shadows in the corners suggest the backlight design could use some attention. I understand the challenges with curved monitors, especially those with massive aspect ratios, so i can't get to upset. 2) Is regarding the performance of the KVM. It often gets confused and i have to disconnect, or shut down one of the two PCs connected to it. I was hopeful that a firmware update would fix it, however, I've had it now for over a year and have not received one. KVMs can be twitchy to begin with, so I'm only going to withhold 1 star.

Ich habe mir den Monitor nochmal gekauft. Ich habe den Selben bereits über 1 Jahr in Betrieb und bin total begeistert über die Größe. Ich programmiere viel und es ist daher eine absolute Wohltat so viel Monitorfläche (mit dieser erstklassigen ergonomischen Krümmung) zu haben. Daher als "Reserve" für alle Fälle, denn wer weiß schon, ob Samsung irgendwann so große Monitore nicht mehr herstellen will?

The specs are great, and first impressions are good. However, the monitor has a fatal flaw: A very high input latency. Even at 120 Hz native resolution, and with all picture quality settings turned off, the latency is very high. Some rough measurements performed puts the latency at over 25-35 ms over another 120 Hz monitor side-by-side. Which is huge for a monitor, particularly one with a high refresh rate. Large input latency makes cursor movements much more imprecise, and is tiring to use, even for business-only workflows. And it is detrimental to gaming. Another thing to be aware of is that the monitor needs to be connected to a DisplayPort cable to get the full resolution at 120 Hz. And such a cable is not included, only HDMI and USB-C cables. With USB-C, you only get 60 Hz at the native resolution. Thus, if you intend to use the USB docking / KVM features, you have to choose between those or a high refresh rate.

Sehr schöner Monitor, der integrierte Switch macht es einfach zwischen Home Office und privatem PC zu wechseln. Endlich kein nerviger Rand mehr da ich die 2 alten Monitore nun gegen den einen ersetzen konnte und dank 2x wqhd Auflösung genug Platz auf dem Bildschirm habe für alles, auch die Bild im Bild Funktion ist sehr komfortabel.

Al principio me ha costado acostumbrarme al tamaño . Pero al tercer día ya no tenía problemas. Sirve mucho para tener 3 programa abiertos y verlos al mismo tiempo. La verdad que lo recomiendo desde lo más profundo

Ich habe den Samsung ViewFinity S9 49" gekauft, unter anderem wegen der beworbenen KVM-Funktion. Leider muss ich sagen: So wie Samsung diese Funktion umgesetzt und vermarktet, ist sie für moderne Setups massiv enttäuschend. Das Problem: Der integrierte KVM-Switch funktioniert nicht wie ein echter KVM. In der Praxis lässt sich nur ein Rechner sinnvoll mit Bild + USB (Maus/Tastatur) nutzen. Der zweite Rechner – insbesondere ein Firmenlaptop per USB-C – kann nicht mit nur einem Kabel in das KVM eingebunden werden. Konkret: USB-C kann zwar Bild liefern, wird aber nicht als vollwertige KVM-Quelle behandelt, der USB-Hub lässt sich nur HDMI- oder DisplayPort-Eingängen zuordnen. Ein typisches Szenario (Gaming-PC + Firmen-Laptop, eine Maus & Tastatur) funktioniert nicht sauber. Das bedeutet in der Praxis: Entweder zwei Kabel am Laptop (HDMI + USB) oder ständiges Umstecken oder ein externer KVM-Switch, was den Sinn der integrierten Funktion ad absurdum führt. Für einen hochpreisigen Business-Monitor ist das absolut nicht zeitgemäß. Andere Hersteller lösen USB-C-KVM deutlich besser. Die Bezeichnung „KVM“ ist hier aus meiner Sicht Marketing, aber keine echte Alltagstauglichkeit. Positiv: Das Panel selbst ist sehr gut (Bildqualität, Größe, Arbeiten auf 49"). Negativ (entscheidend): Die KVM-Funktion hält nicht, was man 2024/2025 davon erwartet. 👉 Fazit: Wer den Monitor wegen der KVM-Funktion kauft, sollte dringend Abstand nehmen oder einen externen KVM einplanen. Dafür gibt es von mir nur einen Stern.
