Zgadzam się z kimś wcześniej. Mieliśmy dzbanek filtrujący i ardzo cieszyliśmy się że nie będziemy musieli już go używać ponieważ będziemy mieli wbudowanym filtr w lodówce. Niestety w porównania do zwykłego dzbanka z filtrem za 15 zł lodówka kompletnie nie filtruje kamienia. Używam lodowki dopiero miesiąc i po umyciu czajnika juz po 5 dniach jest znowu tyle kamienia jakby nigdy nie był czyszczony. Uważam że firma o takiej renomie powinna popracować nad filtrem i zaproponować coś skutecznego. Filtr jest uzywany na codzień i nie stoi raczej nie używany dłużej niż w nocy...

Locking filter is incorrectly shaped. It is not fit for purpose. I have bought many of these over the years I have had had my fridge freezer. Very annoying and a complete waste of money. Do not buy. I purchased the correct filter for my fridge.

Witam serdecznie, zakupiliśmy lodówkę Samsung między innymi z powodu wygodnej filtracji wody. Niestety filtr absolutnie nie usuwa kamienia z wody przez co dzbanek, maszyna do kawy muszą być odkaminianie praktycznie co tydzień co generuje dodatkowe koszty. Zrezygnowaliśmy z filtra odwróconej osmozy myśląc że mamy wygodniejsze rozwiązanie , natomiast okazję się z że w tym miesiącu filtr wystaczyl tylko na a niecałe dwa miesiące. Ogólnie lodówka dama w sobie jest super. Dużo przestrzeni w środku .

Kupiłam lodówkę Samsung RF65DG960EB1 między innymi po to, aby zapewnić rodzinie dobrą wodę do codziennego spożycia. Niestety jakość filtrowanej wody bardzo mnie rozczarowała. Filtr nie spełnił moich oczekiwań. Woda z dzbanka z lodówki po przegotowaniu i zaparzeniu herbaty pozostawia na szklance bardzo brzydkie osady. Zwykłe filtry dzbankowe o wiele lepiej filtrują wodę. W domu mam wiele sprzętów firmy Samsung i wysoko oceniam ich jakość ale ten filtr w lodówce pozbawił mnie radości z zakupu nowej, nie taniej lodówki. Jestem zawiedziona jakością zastosowanego w lodówce filtra.

Super, hab meinen Kühlschrank geflutet. Der untere Teil ist jetzt sehr sauber. Aber ernsthaft, da hätte es doch sicher eine bessere Lösung geben können wie der Filter eingesetzt wird. Keine Möglichkeit direkt zu sehen wie gut er sitzt und da es mein erster Tausch war dachte ich die verdächtigen Geräusche sind normal. Das Einsetzen selbst war nur mit viel Glück möglich und sehr fummelig da er nicht direkt rein passte. Wollte auch nichts kaputt machen indem ich zu sehr drücke. Eine halbe Stunde später lief ein Wasserfall aus dem Kühlschrank als wir die Tür geöffnet haben. Beim zweiten Versuch hat dann alles geklappt. Wasser schmeckt gut, seinen Sinn erfüllt der Filter wenn er einmal richtig sitzt.

Just like literally everyone else, I had to nearly break the water filter housing to get the new filter in because Samsung in their infinite wisdom decided to change the locking design, and designed it in a way that you have to use an old one to rotate the tumbler. If you tossed out your old filter; you're outta luck, buy a new fridge Thankfully it actually went in. But between this and literally every fridge repair-guy refusing to work on a Samsung fridge, the only word-of-mouth recommendation Samsung deserves is "avoid like the plague". I expect this kinda thing from a knock-off brand, not the official product. Get it together Samsung, do better.

I just changed the filter and it didn't leak. As the instructions and other reviewer's said. Turn the water supply off. And then activate the water dispenser to relieve any water pressure. Which isn't much. The marking for the unlock and the fact the end plate on the filter is square sort of makes one believe that it only needs to be turned counter clockwise 90° to remove and install. However I seemed to need to turn it a little beyond to get the old off and the new in. But I only had turn it a little more than a ¼ turn to line up the marks. It does require that you push some as you turn. But don't push too hard. Just enough to make sure the small end with the o-rings gets started into the fitting. My big gripe and fail for Samsung is that their multi-language instruction sheet is the type that gives you one line of instructions in all the possible languages on that same section of the page. Then you have to flip to the next fold to find the next instruction. It'd be much more concise and easier to review the instructions fully if all the instructions of the same language were contiguous and in their own section. And I had to search for the final set of instructions. Which was simply to run the water for 6 minutes to get all the air out.

Just like everyone else, this filter does not fit my older Samsung fridge despite being listed as the compatible filter. Also, the stupid "twist your old filter all the way to the left to reset the lock" troubleshooting guide did not work for me, and sounds like a great way to break your water filter completely. Ridiculous that Samsung hasn't addressed this issue.

Like another person in the reviews below, I bought this fridge around 2 years ago and it looks from this page that samsung have discontinued the filter and left with no replacement. Your ice or water dispenser will not work without a filter replacement every 6 months. My advice find a brand with more universal fittings for water filters because Samsung will corner you into buying a huge expensive fridge that will only last 2 years.

Samsung really messed up by producing two different key lock mechanisms fir the same model of filter. Also, their website even recommends a tall slim filter for my fridge instead of tge short fat one it actually needs! On top of that, it's NOT easy to remove and old filter, especially due to it's location. They can't have got it any more wrong!

However, I will never buy another Samsung fridge again after the disgusting way Samsung has treated its customers by changing the water filter so it doesn't fit older models. How hard is it to market two styles of filter? How did you think we were going to react?

The only problem i have when changing the filter is the weight of the fridge when pulling it out from the cavity. other than that, nothing. It is more easy compared to changing nappies.

This filter is easy to change, follow the instructions. This definitely needs a push upwards to engage the 'O' rings on to their location surfaces. I wet the rings before the new filter goes into place.

I have pulled my filter apart and it wasnt blocked....its timer set not performance based. Plus what the heck samsung, charging a small fortune for the fridge and then a whopping $ price for upkeep on the filters... I think its scandalous and had i known what i knew now. I would have gone miele or liehberr. Lesson learnt, this is my last samsung product.... TVs glitchy... gone to apple with the phone and all my house products are miele now... except this abomination.

greetings. i feel the pain here. here’s my caveman fix, less samsung recommendations: install the filter up to the point it refuses to lock-in. apply some pressure. pull the filter out. look at the impressions on the filter teeth (see pic from another caveman). shave off material below the first tooth impression attempting to keep the same design shape. then basically remove the aft or the third tooth above the base (see pic). you can use a regular file that you would find in your toolbox. a course file to start, then a fine one to smooth out, or as i use, a dremel tool to file it down (be careful with a powered dremel as it can take a lot off fast). keep at it until it fits. always works for me. only use filters with nsf 42, 53, 401 protections. hope this helped.

samsung changed the fitting at the top of the filter so it no longer fits in the housing. i tried the online chat and then called the number they suggested to speak directly to a person. the advice for making the new filter fit was inaccurate. no amount of force would work. i tried amazon and ebay hoping to find the older model to no avail. our service person said the whole housing would have to be replaced to accommodate the new filter design. no warning ahead of time from samsung about the change and no opportunity to purchase the older filter design. do to this and several other required service calls, this will be my last samsung product.

kinda crazy, that a company could be so incompetent, but samsung has achieved that status with the faulty redesign of this filter. it does not fit my samsung refrigerator after the redesign. and, to top it all off, samsung has been receiving this compliant for the last 3 years, and has done nothing to address the issue. please, don't waste your time and money, ditch samsung. i will never purchase any samsung product going forward!

similar to others on here, i noticed the new replacement filter i bought didn't fit in the refrigerator i bought only 2 years ago. i wasted nearly $100 on replacement filters because 1) best buy doesn't do exchanges on an opened water filter and 2) i thought the first one was a manufacturing error and you can't tell until you actually open the package. so now i have a fridge that i can't use for water or ice. i just went through a chat with a service representative. they said to expect an email response within 2 business days. i expect them to send me a new refrigerator filter fitting at no cost to me to resolve this. if they do not, the 1 star rating will remain and it is doubtful i will purchase another large item appliance from samsung ever again.

It works well but the instructions on how to remove the old filter are very poor! As others say, you have to remove the little coloured retaining clip and then push in the grey bit whilst pulling the tube. Then the tube comes away easy. Fitting is easy. Just remove the retaining clip, push the pipe in and then replace the clip. Check for leaks and the job’s a good’un. In 2020 we shouldn’t have to google problems to get answers which are simple if the instructions were better.

I have tried numerous times to replace my filter only to find the design has changed. This is not compatible with my appliance, apparently deemed "old" being 5 years old (with a 10 year warranty??!) After seeing a few bad reviews about fitting the filter seems like a few having trouble, so here goes.. on installation of new filter you remove the clips red blue In many cases when you remove the clip then before you start tugging on the pipe push the grey collar down this releases the pipe so it pulls out with ease. To put the pipe back on the new filter simply push firmly back into the filter until it stops and replace the clip.

Water filter does what it says on the tin. Like others I really struggled to remove the old unit, until I discovered what when you've removed the (red in my case) retaining clip, you need to push the grey collet INTO the filter as you remove the pipe, to release it. Just pulling on the pipe will only make the collet grip harder and will potentially stretch the pipe.

On youtube I was able to determine that the flow goes from the bottom of the unit to the top (with the samsung logo towards the top). However it is ridiculous that after several years on the market, this is STILL being sold without any flow direction marking, either on the label or the unit itself.

As per the previous review I am furious that Samsung have changed the filter fitting so that I cannot replace with a new filter. Even the picture on the box is different from the filter fitting inside. It also varies from the picture above. Complete lack of faith in Samsung. Will be taking this further. Disgraceful.

We had our Samsung fridge freezer installed in July 2015. Alarm bells started to sound when the technicians struggled to fit the filter without it leaking. Eventually they did fit the filter, but only after going back to the store to obtain a replacement. April 2016 and the indicator light illuminated on our fridge. I ordered replacement filters; Samsung certified and after receipt commenced installation. May I say that I managed to install the filter on the second attempt, but only after I took the retaining clamps (not the red clips) from the original filter. If you visit the Samsung site they state that you remove the red clips and withdraw the pipes. The charming man on the video repeats the same instructions, but there is no of him doing it and I now know why! I removed the red clips and tried to pull the pipes off; they wouldn't budge. Tried again and again, not a mm. As I had some excess pipe and due to the fact that the filter is not easy to access, I cut the pipe at both ends. Even using pliers, gripping the plastic pipe firmly, the pipe does not detach. Eventually I took out blue/grey retaining clamps. I was then able to remove the pipes. Fitting is the opposite, but actually it wasn't. There was a slight leak, so I had to repeat the procedure, honestly and it was at this stage I damaged a clamp and had to use one from the original. After slight adjustment trimming the pipe edge, I installed the filter at the second attempt and so far it isn't leaking. May I say that I was amazed that the installers had such trouble, but now I know why. Let's get the video on the Samsung website to demonstrate how difficult it is to get the pipe off, yes it is easy to fit, but impossible to remove. Incredibly poor design and it is only due to the fact that I purchased two filters that I will be replacing it in circa 6 months time, but this time I will be prepared to sever the pipes at the start, rather than waste pipe as it stretches when you try to pull it.

There is nothing on the product to show the direction of flow. Installation is therefore guesswork. How can samsung miss something so simple? A simple arrow on the label would suffice.
