I always buy Samsung genuine filters. I know you are fighting thefts but at what expense. Honestly I have to work hard to get the filter out of the packaging. The plastic is so hard and no way to open it so I have to cut open the packaging which creates sharp edges and points. Honestly, this is at best dangerous. I really would not want to injure myself just to get the product. Can you please do something to make this better?

Word of warning, when you place your order make sure you get the correct filter by calling. Do not go by the recommendations online. I bought a two pack and they sat for a couple months till I got back from out of town and they were the wrong filter. You only have 15 to 30 days to return so I was out of the window. I am very pleased with this filter and the taste of my water. Having the indicator light in the fridge has been a great help since I can be away for months at a time. Love my new appliance suite!

The water filter is so hard to get on. I just replaced mine a month ago left for work on Friday came home after 9hrs to find i has w inches of water in my kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and living room. I have water damage to everything carpet has to be replaced and cabinets and since it was the weekend have to wait till Monday for insurance and hope they will cover it. I am scared to leave to house now. O yea not mention my neighbor also have water damage. This all had to do with the water filter.

As instructed, after filter installation, you have to let the water run for a few minutes. About a gallon or so, then the filter and system is ready, tasting clean and fresh. As a result, I’m loving the water dispenser, pitcher, and ice maker! Speaking from experience, read the instructions carefully, definitely shut off your water supply feeding into the fridge before changing the cartridge. This is crucial to prevent the cartridge casing from damage. Other than that, it’s a simple twist and pull to take the old one out, plug the new one in, give it a wiggle and twist to lock it in. My fridge model will show the exact % life left on the screen or phone app, so I know when to change it next time.

I went ahead and installed the new one and purged the water several times. Since this was at night We waited until the morning so the water line could get cold again. The next morning my wife actually tried the water first. She instantly tasted a difference from our previous filters. She then had me taste it and it was , well, different. I really did not think there would have been much of a difference but there really was. It tasted cleaner and more refreshing. I am very happy to have been included in the campaign as I now have found the filter we will be using from now on, if i can find it.

I removed the old one, popped the new one in, flushed the water by filling the jug and disposing it about 7 times (I used this information based on my old Samsung fridge), and that was basically it. The fit was perfect, it wasn't too hard to rotate it and lock (also based on my previous experience), and the water tastes clean and fresh with no weird taste or odor. The only part that had me scratching my head was figuring out how to reset the filter indicator afterward. I couldn't immediately figure out how to do it, but that's really a refrigerator setting and has nothing to do with the filter itself.

I inserted my genuine Samsung water filter. Went out to run some errands. Came home an hour later and there's water dripping out of the ceiling in my basement. The genuine Samsung water filter didn't seal. I have replaced water filters my entire life, I know how to do it properly. Worst product ever.

The filter is centrally located behind a flip up door in the center of the main refrigerator compartment. Installation is very easy. You twist the old filter and pull it out. Then you push in the new one and twist it in place. Takes a few seconds and then the replace filter light resets. Packed in a no frills easy to open box. My only complaint was the lack of instructions on the box. I had done a filter replacement before so I didn’t need them but they would be helpful to new owners.

My Hubby said that it was very easy to install the new filter. He just unscrewed the old one and pulled it out. The next step was to then slide in the new one and twist it to lock it in. Easy peazy. It only took a minute to do and then all we had to do was flush the water pitcher several times to ensure the water was filtered free of any charcoal particles. When you do this several times you may have to wait for the final pitcher to get cold since you are pulling a large amount of water through the system in a short time and it hasn’t had a chance yet to get chilled. This is a quick fix for tastier water and ice cubes. It is well worth the price for months of clean filtered water.

Not only does it help out my wallet, but it also helps me do my part in not using plastics. One thing I also love is the fact that Samsung uses eco-friendly packaging. To install this filter, all you have to do is turn and pull out your old filter, put this filter in with the arrow pointed at the unlock picture, and twist to the lock position. It only takes less than a minute! You will have to toss out the water in your pitcher (if you have Beverage Center), so that adds a few more minutes. I will always purchase this filter for my Samsung refrigerator as I am very happy with this product!

You just twist the old one out and pop the new one in place until it clicks, took me less than two minutes. We ran a few gallons through first like the manual says to clear out any carbon dust. After that the water came out super clear and it taste totally fresh with zero weird chemical or chlorine smell. Even our ice cubes look clearer now and dont have that stale freezer taste anymore. For the pros, it fits perfectly in my Samsung fridge with no leaks at all and the water flow rate is really good. Another big pro is the peace of mind knowing its an official OEM part so it wont damage the fridge. As for the cons, these original filters are definately a bit pricey compared to the generic knockoffs you see online. Also resetting the filter indicator light on the fridge display was kind of confusing until I looked it up on my phone. Overall the pros definitely outweigh the cons because the water quality is great and I would recommend it to anyone with this fridge.

The Samsung HAF-QIN has proven that my assumptions were wrong. For a start it fits perfectly into the filter slot. No hard twisting or challenges seating the filter were required. It took a while for the water to start flowing, and we made sure that we flushed several gallons through before drinking. I was pleasantly surprised to not see small specks of carbon filter during the flushing process which normally occurs when I have changed the filter in the past. When it came time to taste the water, all of my family members commented that it tasted much better than before. I know we will be using this filter again and again in the future. One slight improvement would be to include a set of stickers that indicate the month or date it needs to be replaced. That way we can replace at the right time and continue to enjoy tasty and clean drinking water.

The installation was straightforward by simply twisting the locking mechanism left and it springs out. The new one slides in the same way and twists back right and it locks in place. We use the water and ice a lot and have clean, filtered water that tastes good with over 40 different contaminants removed after having gone through my softener system. I had always loved Samsung products so we have purchased several through the years but the standards recently have fallen short over the past few years. The dryer heating element went out in the first year we purchased our Samsung washer and dryer and the design they used on our new Samsung Refrigerator leaves alot to be desired, the ice maker especially!! Our old refrigerator (Amana)lasted us over 25 years and the icemaker made it to 20 years. We had had success in other Samsung products so we opted for the Samsung Refrigerator we have had it less than 3 yrs and have had trouble with the ice maker within the first year ice always building up and preventing ice from being made, very poor design. And then today the water on the door tried to flood my kitchen after I had just filled a cup, the water just kept on flowing freely even with the door opened. Apparently the switch on the inside of the door is faulty!!! SAMSUNG WHERE HAVE YOUR STANDARDS GONE?!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I think we will be switching our appliances out to another company until or if Samsung can ever fix their newly designed defective practices.

The filter is really easy to access and replace, and the fridge tells me when it's time for a new filter. The packaging was very eco-friendly - the cardboard box was sturdy enough to hold the filter securely and not get crushed but thin enough that it wasn't wasting material. I had to run water thru the filter, as usual, but once that was done the drinking water was crisp and clear. It's nice that this filter lasts longer than most water filters, filtering up to 500 gallons vs 200-400 on most water filters. I would definitely recommend the Samsung filter to friends and family.

Installation was straightforward since this is the square design our fridge requires I confirmed our old filter's shape before ordering and it twisted into place exactly like the original with no forcing or misalignment. The authentication tag was a nice reassurance step, I peeled it off and held it against the included magnet and the green stripes appeared as described confirming it was the real thing rather than a knockoff, which matters given how particular refrigerator filter housings can be about fit. Flow rate has stayed strong and consistent since installing it, no weak trickle from the dispenser and no dripping or leaking around the filter housing, which was my main worry going in given how a poor fitting filter can cause exactly that kind of mess. Since replacement is recommended roughly every six months, I've set a reminder so we don't forget and end up drinking through a spent filter without realizing it. The whole swap took only a couple of minutes once the old one was out. Overall this has restored our water and ice quality noticeably and installation was genuinely hassle free, and I would recommend it to anyone with the same square filter style refrigerator who has noticed their water or ice quality slipping.

i have the 4-door flexzone fridge, rf24r7201sr, manf oct '20, came with haf-qin-exp filter (says replacement filter is da97-17376b, for use in system da97-08006c). replacement filter matched but said for use in system da97-08006c-a. oddly, the orange store sells this same filter but has haf-qins-exp on the package (but filter itself says haf-qin-exp). samsung support couldn't explain the differences so -1 star. i turned off the main water supply and let out some water from the fridge to relieve the pressure, removed the old filter, following suggestions here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/tsg01109722/ installed new filter turning a few times before it seated but seemed to fit ok. ran about 5 gals through after, everything seems good, no leaks or issues.

The refrigerator even notifies when it is time to replace the filter. Removing the old filter is as simple as opening the cover, gripping the handle on bottom of filter and turning counter-clockwise and then simply pulling it out. Install is just the opposite. Insert the new filter straight in and ensure it is seated. You can tell it is seated by when the filter is all the way in. The rotate the filter 1/2 turn clockwise and it will stop rotating. Close the cover door. You are done. Take a bow. Then you just need to run a few pitchers of water through the dispenser to clear air out and any charcoal dust. Don't be alarmed by the water being cloudy the first couple pitchers. That is just air bubbles and some charcoal dust. Water and ice from the refrigerator is always sparkling and refreshing. I used an after market filter before and it leaked because it didn't seat correctly. So, always use Samsung filters.

What I really like about this is the water filter helps the water to taste better so I don’t notice any chlorine taste or have any sediment in my water. This filter was a little tricky to figure out how to change initially but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy to twist and remove the old one and insert the new one. I don’t quite know how it works, but it does work well and the water comes out clear and tasteless. Best to use the name brand one for easy replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Samsung Bespoke refrigerator since 2022, and this HAF-QIN refrigerator water filter fits perfectly. It's manufactured by Samsung, so I knew there wouldn't be any compatibility issues. Installation was fairly simple and took about 10-15 minutes. The hardest part of the install was flushing the water line after. My refrigerator's change filter indicator turned off automatically. The water and ice tastes noticeably cleaner. After a few days of use I checked for issues, and I have not noticed any issues with leaking or breaks in water pressure

I compared tap water and filtered water using a TDS meter. Tap water measured 122 ppm and filtered water 130 ppm. Based on these results, I couldn’t see any improvement with the filter, since the mineral levels were basically the same.

samusung really need to work on there filters, not only that it not a fit. when it get clog up with all the minerals it runs slower. need to be replace before its time. the water doesnt taste...huh ok. dont have any water leaks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung water filter was very easy to install. All I had to do is twist and pull to get the old one out. Then slide and twist the other way to put the new one in. For my refrigerator, It's right in front so it's easy to see and I don't have to twist and turn my body to get access to it. Also, the is great as it gets rid of all the bad toxins that come in on the water from the water company. I'm definitely happy I have this refrigerator and these water filters. The other nice feature is on my refrigerator A clearly shows the lock symbol which tells me which way the hours have to be in order to be locked which is an added benefit

I didn’t read the reviews before removing my original filter to make sure I ordered the correct replacement. When I tried to reinsert like instructions for inserting a new one until my new cartridge came, it hissed and leaked all in my drawers. I am terrified to leave it without my frig flooding! I just left it out and hope I can make ice since I had to reset my ice maker! I have no confidence that a new filter will work bc I should be able to stick my original one in as a placeholder. I have been referring everyone to your product but can’t in good conscience anymore bc if this major defect! Help! What are my options!? Very disappointed.

Hi There, Let's check all possible solutions to replace your water filter easily. Your water filter can be changed quickly and should only take a few minutes. Please follow these steps. 1. First, turn off the water supply and then locate the filter. Please consult your user manual if you need help finding where it is. 2. Open the water filter cover and rotate the old filter counterclockwise to unlock it. 3. Then, pull it straight out to remove it from the filter housing. 4. To insert the new filter, first, remove the protection cap from the top of the filter. Then, push it straight into the filter housing and turn it clockwise. 5. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Haf-Qin water filter does a great job filtering the water from my Samsung refrigerator. It's always clean and fresh. My only problem with this filter is how difficult it is to install. The directions are unclear and I had to watch a YouTube video to do it exactly right. It is not as simply as removing it and putting it back in. You have to turn it counterclockwise to the lock picture and then turn it clockwise and push it in really hard to get it in correctly. Once it's in its great but it can be a bit anxiety provoking getting it in right.

I purchased a genuine replacement filter using the Samsung Subscription Service. The filter replacement seemed easy enough...unscrew the old filter and screw in the new filter. I did this in the evening and at the time everything seemed ok. I woke up the next morning and my kitchen AND Basement was flooded. Several thousands of dollars in damage. When I removed the new filter I installed I could tell the water was dripping from the plunger/nozzle on the filter housing. Not enough to give any warning at the time of the replacement of the filter. As evident with the numerous bad reviews there seems to be a design flaw or just plain bad engineering with the filtration system. I would highly recommend staying away from Samsung Refrigerators.

i seem to disagree with the other reviewers. i followed the instructions, but the filer was very difficult to remove, so the first time i called samsung's help line to see if it was ok to remove with a pliers. they said "yes". i removed and reinstalled with no problem. we drink a lot of water, so i knew the filer wasn't going to last 6 months; it lasted about 3-3 1/2. our house has a whole house filter on it anyway, but this filter seems to make the water taste cleaner. even the cats prefer water from the refrigerator than the tap! i usually order two filters at a time, in case they are on back order. this will be my third filter. i have no complaints!

My entire family drinks the water from the refrigerator every day because it tastes so much better than tapwater. My wife, especially like it because there are chemicals in the water. In regards to the installation, it is so much easier than any refrigerator I’ve had before. Installation of the filter took maybe five seconds. The best part is, you don’t have to move anything out of the way to replace the filter and there is no mess to clean up. I am very happy with this filter!

With a quick turn, the filter locks right in. Once installed, run a few pitchers of water through it, and that’s all you need. For our home, this unit lasts the full 6 months unless our Samsung refrigerator tells us it is time to change it sooner. This filter is rated for 300 gallons between ice water and ice cubes. We'll keep using this exact factory unit for replacements.

It lasts much longer than my previous refrigerator water filters with a 6 month life on average. I appreciate having to change the filter less and having less waste. I love that its ultra-high-grade carbon block reduces 99% of over 40 potentially harmful contaminants producing nice, clean, filtered water for myself and my family. Plus, and most importantly, the water tastes great!

I've replaced other brands without trouble. This one leaked after putting the filter back in (inspected it for a proper part number, which isn't readily available even with "smart" things. Filter end is square, hole is round (not a fantastic idea). Filter doesn't go in smoothly, took several tries. Drip tray should clearly indicate whether it's required or not (and a label... even a picture .. would be good. We have an oven also and there are some strange design choices on that, will save for another time.

I held off on buying these for a year or two because of the reviews. Haha. May have been a first timers luck, but I had no issue installing it in my 4 door, 28cu, smart hub fridge. No leaks or anything unusual rather than water sputtering out of water dispenser for a few seconds as it adjusted to the new filter. I didn't turn off my water (tough to get to without scratching my tile floors), but just gently turned the water filter into place until it caught and went in. Had to do an extra rotation at first since it didn't seem aligned, but eventually went in, no problem. Best of luck! Hopefully my luck continues... haha

i purchased the exact genuine samsung water filter, haf-qin/exp, for my 3-month old refrigerator. new filter does not fit. with calipers, i measured the dimensions of the plastic catch (showing mechanical conflict) and catch is thicker on the new filter (batch code a8441) than the original filter (batch code b0431). very disappointing quality issue for an expensive new refrigerator. from other comments, i see this is a known issue to samsung. the link i see on some comments, which is supposed to help you install new filter does not work either. why hasn't this issue been resolved by recalling defective filters?

I needed to replace a cheaper brand filter that I installed after my last Samsung filter reached the end of life. I noticed that the Samsung filter felt heavier which leads me to believe there is more filtration and/or carbon media in this filter. The quality of the water is better than with the other filter as well. If you have city water with a chemical or metal taste, this filter will absolutely improve the quality of your water.

This water filter does great removing impurities from my drinking water and my ice cubes. The filter comes with a QR code to go to the app to scan to ensure that this filter is genuine. The app tells you if the serial number of the filter has ever been scanned to prove authenticity. The filter is easy to install, just twist and remove the old filter then remove the cap, push and twist the new filter. Make sure you hear the swoosh when you turn the filter and then it is ready to go. The directions say then dispense 3 gallons of water to remove carbon dust. Water tastes great and crisp! The ice cubes that comes from the filtered water also tastes clean and makes my drink refreshing! Having great tasting filtered water is a must!

I bought samsung bespoke fridge, and then I got this filter for modelDA97-08006C-A. I have the DA97-17376B replacement filter. I am pregnant and I thought this filtered lead. I can't find the performance data sheet anywhere for this. I relied on this filter to filter lead because it had the NSF label. I bought a genuine one. Where is your performance safety data sheet for this? If you can't provide that to me, then basically I was duped by shady marketing. If you need a filter to filter lead, I advise anyone to do their research as it seems this product is duping people into thinking it filters lead.

After running the required few gallons through the filter, it's been all hands off. The filter makes our water taste better and we don't have to worry about a thing. I also noticed that this filter lasts longer than most other filters on the market, which is an awesome perk. This filter does a great job in making my water taste better. I live in an area surrounded by chemical plants and the water quality isn't the best for drinking straight from the tap. I am thankful for this filter and its ability to make my water taste better. The filter is very hard to unscrew from the refrigerator. There is no way to unscrew it with your hand. The small handle slipped out of my hand. I had to get a 12 inch pair of pliers to grip it tight enough to remove and just as bad to reinstall. The water was off and the pressure released. I believe the refrigerator has a defective receptacle for the filter. I even coated the o-rings with rubber lube.
