The product itself is pretty incredible, the OLED and deep rich colors and perfect blacks is absolutely stunning. It left a big impression to everybody that saw it. However, it broke! The screen shut off mid-use and wouldn't turn back on. I could still hear the sounds and navigate the menu using the Smart Things app and could see the LED in the back change colors, but the screen wouldn't turn on at all. I had to return it and order another. Hopefully it works this time.

The OLED panel is ok, Pixel Shift and Static Logo detection appear to be working as expected. Thats about all I can say is good with this display. While displays can get warm, I have proof this display is hitting 120 degrees in spots which is 30 to 40 degrees warmer than any other display or TV I have. I am not sure why they made this a TV and not just a display. I do not need Tizen on a computer display, I do not need apps installed when I can just run them through their own app on Windows or through a browser. The display memory fills up and then you are in endless black screen flickering until you manage to get to the menu and run the optimizer. When it works, its great, at least they allow it to just remain on the selected input so when I wake the PC up it returns to Windows and not that dumb home screen. The only good thing about the remote is you can make screen adjustments from a distance instead of being on top of the display pushing buttons on the back of it. It is lighter than the QLED and for a few minutes runs cooler than it. I know there is a 'dumb' version of this display that does not have Tizen built in but its not available where I am so I am stuck with this confused OLED that looks like a PC display and thinks its a TV. I wish there was a way to disable the screen when I put my PC to sleep, just go into standby and not that blue screen telling me that is what you will do in a minute if I do not select something else. The speakers are garbage and could have been left out.

I bought this this back in September for a birthday gift, shortly after I received it. A week later it started flickering the screen. I thought it was the cable so I replaced that, that didn't fix it. I thought It was my graphics card so I got a new one. From a 1060 to a 4060 and it worked for a day. I was so fed up that I decided to return it. Really dissapointed. When it was working. Resolution and video was amazing! Now I'm barely browsing and it just starts flickering like crazy! I'm done! Sending it back!!

The display and performance on this monitor are absolutely top-tier — the colors, refresh rate, and overall visual quality are outstanding. It’s great for both gaming and productivity. That said, I was disappointed to see Samsung removed the classic Picture-in-Picture mode and replaced it with Multiview. It forces a hard split down the middle of the screen, which isn’t ideal. The old PiP was much more flexible and better suited for dual-input setups. I believe this could be reinstated through a software update, and it would be great to see that happen in the future. Still, it’s an impressive monitor overall — just wish they hadn’t taken a step back with the input options.

Compré este producto y no me duró ni 1 año el gusto. Las prestaciones de este monitor son superiores a cualquier otro que puedas encontrar en el mercado pero tiene un MUY GRANDE problema de diseño. Tiene un sólo botón para manipular TODO, desde prenderlo, cambiar de source y cualquier opción de video. Por tanto es un botón que se utiliza todos los días y está hecho de plástico muy frágil el cual se me rompió antes del año de uso dejándome con un monitor casi inútil. Una pena que un monitor de alta gama tenga este problema de diseño pues no hay otra manera de manipular este monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that you notice when opening the box is how massive this monitor is! As usual with every Samsung product, the box opening, the assembly and the whole set-up is very easy and intuitive. Once everything is set and done and you plug everything to it, the real experience begins. In our case, we connected a PS, a laptop and a Soundbar (via HDMA eArc). We loved the fact that the menu and screen options are the same as any Samsung TV, so we are used to the entire process for picture, sound, and network setup. We love that the monitor has the versatility of operating, not only as a gaming monitor but also as a TV for streaming services, and as a computer monitor for design work. The quality of video and sound are second to none, and you can really tell that Samsung is focusing on wiping the competition away! As the old saying goes, the devil is in the details and, while playing games, all you get is details! The refresh rate is amazing (no lagging, no pixels), the richness of colors and deep blacks make it a truly immersive experience (especially if you connect a good soundbar to it) no matter what game you are playing. Overall, this is a 10 out of 10 and recommended 100%.

Stay away from this and Samsung products in general. I have all my appliances, monitors and tv's from samsung. This specific monitor i preordered from their website and paid 2.5k on it. Monitor died after 1 year and 2 months. They sent me a "specialist" who had no clue why the monitor is not turning on anymore. It had power but the screen was dead. The "specialist" was on the phone with his helpdesk. They found out looking from an angle that the monitor had 2 lines on one side of the panel, and they called that physical damaged. I can assure you that monitor was never hit, otherwise you would see a point of impact and the lines wouldn't be perfectly straight. I am not the first person this happens too, as i found other forums with the same problems. Even the "specialist" that came to look at the monitor told me that these monitors are made with cheap pieces and has a lot of complains. I spoke with a Samsung supervisor and they decided not to do anything about my issue. So, from now on no more Samsung products for me. Oh and those lines you can not feel either, so it is an internal problem when it comes to these monitors. Samsung knows about it, but they won't admit it. Uploaded some pictures too.

The G9 is the perfect size and is curved perfectly. Samsung really found the sweet spot to make gaming fully immersive. I am a big fan of first person shooters including Doom, Call of Duty and, of course, Halo and these games are amazing on the G9. I can see more, react to more, truly get a jump on my competitors. My friends have commented that there is something different about my gameplay. I haven't told them yet about the monitor upgrade. I will let them be confused for a bit. Lol. What do I like best about this monitor? The curve - 1800R means a comfortable viewing angle and fully immersive viewing experience. I have used other ultrawides and this one beats them all. No more shifting right or left to see details in the far corners. The refresh rate - oh my gosh, the 240Hz refresh rate makes motion smooth as butter. My games look better than they ever have before. It's visually stunning. The OLED screen - colors pop like never before. This is a screen you have to see to believe. You need to check this out! Make this one your first ultrawide. Or, sell your current ultrawide and buy this one. You won't regret it!

I program smart homes and the software always gets shrunk to fit the screen so some stuff gets cut off and you have to choose what you see but with this monitor its no longer a problem. playing games hasn't been this amazing for awhile, some of the game i play dont support super ultra wide but i have found some workarounds but the games that do look spectacular, battle filed looks super cinematic plus getting to use hdr that works is nice. all in all i love the monitor there are some others out there that can compare for less but i think samsung does it right and provides amazing support.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beast has replaced my two 27’ 165hz 1440p 1ms displays for a single 49”, 0.03ms at 240hz. No loss in screen real estate with this massive Super Ultrawide 32:9 panel as I am still getting 5120 x 1440, equivalent to two 2560 x 1440 displays. No center bezel makes an enormous difference when having multiple windows open specifically if I want to divide my screen into three or more sections for maximum productivity or an immersive gaming experience. The OLED panel with HDR is super bright and sharp. The curve allows you to be really immersed, reducing head movement and feels a lot more natural compared to two screens sitting side by side. Experiencing OLED at this scale when traditionally it is experienced on a higher end TV is phenomenal. Technology has come a long way. The overall build is super slim, clean, and futuristic. Neo Quantum Processor Pro works wonders to keep the display optimized to adjust to different inputs. The color grade and contrast seem very natural and one of the best out there I’ve seen for this format of panel. PC Input via DP, HDMI, Micro HDMI, or Type C. Built in Wi-Fi for independent use as Smart TV. Like my QN95B, this Monitor has all the Smart TV features built in directly for independent use for services like Amazon Prime, Netflix or YouTube with a full functioning smart remote like you would find on a Samsung Smart TV. Incredibly useful for not having to rely on external input such as a PC. The Gaming Hub functions just like my Smart TV when paired with my Xbox, like they were made for each other. Having a single panel with multiple uses is a huge space saver and I could not be happier with this Smart Monitor.

Overall, I love this monitor. It was a headache at first to get this monitor working the way I needed it to because for #1: There’s not a USB-C connection like other monitors I could use to connect to my MacBook Pro for a seamless one connection solution. #2: I had to buy a docking station to make it work with my MacBook Pro #3: There’s no built-in KVM, which isn’t to much of an issue but would’ve been nice to have. I bought a USB switch for my peripherals to connect using their onboard USB-C hub, which everyone thought was for other purposes… Ugh. #4: Using the correct cables for PC connections. For my Mac Mini to work properly, I had to use a 1.4 Display port 8K cable connection to achieve the 5120x1440 rez, my gaming PC did fine with HDMI and my MacBook Pro did okay after adding a good external docking station to power it. There were other things here and there, and I highly consider taking it back due to all the trouble I had when I first bought it, but now that it’s working… I can’t really complain. There have been no issues since all the fixes I’ve implemented. If anything, I’d like to upgrade to the 57” but I’ll wait for that for now. Overall, you can’t really beat this monitor but you do have to be somewhat technical to deal with it. At least you have easy updates you can do from the UI, and have all kinds of settings to fix up the function of your monitor you like. I do love the fact that I can watch Netflix and YouTube when I’m not busy, I just wish there was better PIP/PBP options to fix up the way I like my screen to be instead of the fixed solution in place. Another thing is I love the built in RDP/VNC option, this is helpful in reaching my remote desktops. Just make them fit the screen fully with an option to shrink and it’ll be golden!!!

Blacks are inky, colors are vibrant and white are bright and crisp. 240hz is no joke in games, if you've got the hardware to get you there. The only downside is the software. The remote is extremely laggy at times for inexplicably no reason, the smart apps are incredibly slow to load, there is no way to quickly change inputs, and Samsung has removed PiP mode from the old oddesey g9 leaving only side by side mode. Overall, it's definitely a mixed bag. If you only plan on using a single input and ignoring the smart features, it would probably be perfect, if you want anything else, keep looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew the Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 gaming monitor was huge, I just didn't realize how effortlessly and easily it would fit in with my super clean gaming setup - and how amazing having a single, 49 inch screen would be. My previous monitor setup was a single 27 inch monitor. This beautiful monitor gives me double the real estate. The curvature of the monitor means it doesn't take up as much space as you might think. I have a friend who has a 49 inch monitor made by another company but it is not nearly as curved. When gaming on his monitor I found it difficult to see the far edges of the screen. This is not an issue for the Samsung G9. The curvature is perfect, everything is within ideal line of sight. Samsung definitely nailed this aspect of the monitor (pun intended!). Out the box, I was very impressed. The stand is super sturdy and is very easy to assemble. A huge monitor such as this requires a stable stand and Samsung made sure buyers would never doubt it was the stand for the job. I was up and running in a few minutes and ready to connect to my laptop and gaming console. Connecting to Wifi was a snap and the on-screen menus are straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to connect to my Netflix and Disney+ accounts easily. Nice job Samsung! When it comes to gaming, I am a simple gal. I like Fortnite and Minecraft but will also join my husband in playing Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto V. I thought these games looked amazing on my old monitor! I hadn't seen anything yet! The 240 Hz refresh rate combined with the 0.03ms response time made a huge difference in my game play - especially in the faster-paced games. The images and colors jumped off the screen and the sound is crisp and clear. The aspect ratio of this monitor is perfect! This monitor checks all the boxes and more. If you can afford one, get one! It's worth every penny. You can save money on something else!

The Samsung 49” Odyssey OLED G95SC Curved Smart Gaming Monitor should simply be known as The Monitor due to its wide set of features, the amazing display with complementary rich sound and the ease of use. It will be a "want" instead of a "need" for many desk jockeys as the silky smooth display might be lost on spreadsheets the same way a powerful racecar is severely limited navigating a speed bump laden neighborhood. Set-up for the 49 inch monitor is definitely a two person task as the unwieldy box requires careful handling but the rest of the process is straightforward and a breeze. The screen easily snaps onto the ergonomic stand and goes from box to your desk in mere minutes. A gap in the stand helps to manage all of the monitor's cables from getting frazzled on your desk. Note: Not all cables strongly catch in their ports so you need to be deliberate when setting up and double-check your work before final placement of the display. Powering up The Monitor gets you to the initial setup screen which can be completed with your PC, phone (via Samsung's brilliant SmartThings app) or the display's own remote control. Similar to a smart TV, you can connect The Monitor to your wifi to take advantage of streaming apps and software updates. It is easy to switch between source inputs and you can even create preferred profiles so you can have multiple sources at the same time (think playing your Xbox while pulling up sports scores from the web or streaming live TV from Samsung Plus while listening to music videos on YouTube). But how is the picture on this unique display? Your eyes will water from the beauty of the vibrant colors and the contrast of the darkest blacks. In gaming mode, the refresh rate kept me in the battle royale with no skipping or lagging in the picture. The Monitor not only runs laps around most monitors, it can keep up with the best of higher end TVs thanks to its QD-OLED panel. Speaking of flat screens TVs, their sound is just that: flat. A soundbar is nearly mandatory to have decent to high-end sound. That is not the case with The Monitor. Samsung sound is crisp and wraps around your ears the same way the screen's picture envelops your sightlines. At higher volumes, the sound remains clear without any distortion. This is by far a monitor designed around a perfect gaming experience. You have the essentials: wide angle (32:9), great resolution (5120x1440p), lightning fast frame rates (240hz) and ludicrously fast response times. I've been able to notice a difference over another competitor that tops out at 175hz using QD-OLED technology. Let's just say that in Call of Duty MW2, I can get two kills instead of one on Shipment 24/7. Just saying! I know, I know -- incredible. Don't gas me up now. When you first receive the monitor, you'll notice an impossibly thin box. Inside that magical box is your accessories - wall mount, power brick and cable, USB-C to HDMI adapter and an awesome multimedia controller. Upon connecting this monster of a monitor, you're greeted by a vibrant blue display and the option to setup and connect your monitor to your Samsung account. The process takes about 5-10 minutes depending on your level of tech savvy-ness. I can say, having it set up and loading my favorite apps, it is a great way to unwind after spending time gaming. The speakers it comes with, considering how impossibly thin the monitor is, does the job. They have AI-enhanced modes to help with the sound, but you'll be happier using headphones or a dedicated set of speakers. If you're using Hulu/Prime or Samsungs built in TV app, you'll watch content in the center of the screen at an accurate film ratio of either 16:9 or you'll have black bars if it is ultra wide. It also comes with a gaming hub which allows you to connect your cloud gaming services. Which, I can say work fairly well, I was able to run through a game of Forza Horizon 5 with very little concern for input lag/delay and the process of connecting a controller was so easy via Bluetooth. Onto PC gaming, I game on a 5950X/6950XT and I played through Cyberpunk 2077 and tested Call of Duty MW2, Fortnite, Destiny 2 and several other games. Compared to other monitors with similarly high frame rates, I can say that this one takes the lead by far. The extra horizontal pixels (5120) vs comparable monitors at 3440, makes a difference when gaming. Make sure you have an extra 1.5 feet of separation compared to a monitor of that size you can game effectively. To tie up a very long review, I can say that based on the experience I have had, this monitor is out to change lives. Don't think twice if you can get one.

He called me in the room and well, it started doing colors and stripes moving up and down and come to find out they just go out and I have no cracks no nothing in it. I feel like I got screwed out a monitor now. Felt like it's a factory problem it went out right after my warranty went out figures right and Now it's going to cost me 700 plus to fix it. Wish samsung would see that this is happening to alot of people and I wish they would make it right to us customers who lobe your products but get let down by problems they dont want to fix.

I use it for gaming photo and video editing, music production and it helps have to have all that extra screen space. The screen is like a mirror so it's best to keep in a room with low lights going on. Also something I haven't seen mentioned is it puts out some heat while not a whole lot when added to other things going on it makes my room a little toasty. Some people mention having screen flicker I thought I did too but some changes to my graphics card appears to have fixed the issue. Overall it's been fantastic

Compré este monitor hace unos dos meses y simplemente es asombroso. Desde cualquier ángulo se todo perfecto, sin cambios de tono, el ghosting no existe en lo absoluto (ese efecto borroso que queda atrás de los objetos en movimiento), lo que hace que los 240hz de respuesta se hagan MUY notorios en juegos en los que puedas acercarte a las 240fps, sobre todo en shooters. El contraste es magnífico por ser OLED, se puede jugar sin problemas con la luz apagada, no es "quema ojos", incluso lo utilizo para programar en mis horas de trabajo y puedo dividir la pantalla en 3 fácilmente. El único detalle que tiene es que al usar Freesync o Gsync en las pantallas de carga se ve que sube y cambia el brillo, esto es normal en pantallas OLED cuando hay fluctuaciones muy grandes de FPS, y este monitor tiene una opción llamada "VRR Control" que se puede habilitar para que no pase, pero se pierde fluidez al activarla así que simplemente la dejo desactivada ya que esto solo ocurre en pantallas de carga o cuando el juego te da tirones muy grandes (in game es muy difícil notarlo) El material de la pantalla es muy sensible a rayarse y cuesta bastante sacarle manchas de grasa de los dedos por ejemplo, hay que pasarle un paño casi seco por un par de minutos. Totalmente recomendado, sobre todo por su precio en comparación a lo que ofrece la competencia, y la calidad de imagen que a mi parecer es insuperable.

El monitor me ha funcionado perfecto, el sonido es bueno, podría ser mejor, pero suficiente para una habitación normal (ademas de regalo me dieron una barra de sonido), la imagen es muy bella, el tamaño me permite tener dos ventanas de trabajo y una pequeña adicional para musica o videos. Estoy muy agusto con la compra. Lo único que me preocupa son los quemados pero bueno, al compar OLED uno sabe que corre ese riesgo y hay que cuidarlo. En conclusión lo recomiendo si trabajas con varias ventanas, o incluso para gaming es muy bueno pero necesitaras una buena tarjeta grafica para aprovechar toda la pantalla.

This monitor is absolutely amazing for productivity with my MacBook M1 Pro and a Windows Gaming PC. I have been working on a dual setup to switch between HDMI and DP. It seems like the MacBook really only supports the DP connection. So I am attempting the HDMI connection for my Windows Gaming PC for just productivity. I have a separate gaming setup dedicated for gaming. I just wanted to use this OLED G9 monitor for productivity for the most part. 10/10 I highly recommend this monitor for the tech enthusiasts! Only thing I would recommend to Samsung to make this product better would be to offer two Display Ports so users can use this monitor switched between two different systems! :)

When I upgrade to the 49 monitor the view is seamless. Having this setup with one monitor crates less mess with one having t ise 1 hdmi and power adapter. The OLED screen on this monitor is beautiful. When using this monitor, you can use without having to turn on your P. You can use different apps through this monitor, game and finally use this monitor for your PC use. My only gripe is when your PC goes to sleep, getting the monitor to recognize the PC has been a hassle, but overall great monitor.

Purchased monitor because of advertised features, in particular the G-Sync functionality. Unfortunately, this feature does not work correctly. If playing games with G-Sync enabled when the monitor is connected via Display Port at 240 Hz, the display will go black at times either in the middle of a game or when exiting. I originally got an LG 45GR95 but ended up returning it due to qc and software issues. So I turned to what I know and went with this G9 and man is the quality between the LG and the Samsung night and day. I use it for gaming and general computing. Both 1440p monitors but the Samsung's picture looks way better, and it doesn't try to install software on your computer for no reason like the LG. This monitor blew me away. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their monitor. You will not be disappointed!

Tengo el equipo hace poco menos de 2 meses y la calidad de imagen es mu buena. No hay mucho más que decir sobre eso pues es un monitor de calidad oled. Respecto de su calidad de sonido, ya se agradece que incluya sonido por el precio y era un minimo por su funcionalidad de smart tv. Me sirvió mucho para quitar del setup unos parlantes que no sonaban mucho mejor que estos. De que suene mal o bien no es importante la verdad, al menos no para mi pues uso audifonos la mayor parte del tiempo. Cuando lo he usado para ver series o un par de peliculas es mas que suficiente. Como smart tv funciona bien, la calidad es de nivel oled, de lo mejor que se puede ver en monitores. En contraste del comentario anterior no he tenido mayores problemas: el menú no es complicado, funciona bien, hay opciones desactivadas pq no son compatibles con los modos de juegos o con el modo grafico ( seguramente se refiere a eso ) Creo que se apresuró a dar una opinion. El único pero es que la opción de refresco de pixeles no es una opción que podamos elegir y no estoy muy seguro de como funciona. Sé como funcionan en las LG por ejemplo, pero acá no lo sé. Hay ocaciones en que me aparece la notificación para hacerlo, pero es en momento random y dura 10min. El monitor es muy grande, tengo una mesa enorme por lo que no tuve problemas, pero me hizo quitar algunas cosas que solía tener en el escritorio. En resumen es una gran adquisición, estoy mas que satisfecho y espero que me dure mucho tiempo. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

No es un monitor para todo el mundo, al menos no todo el que le vaya a sacar provecho en multitarea o quiera tener un pc de componentes gama alta si va a jugar, aún así por ahora he jugado sin problemas con am4 y rx5700 aunque el monitor merece una actualización a una 7900xtx para poder sacarle el rendimiento en gaming. Por fin hay gráficas de gama media alta que mueven este monstruo. Como experiencia decir que las posibilidades son interminables, diría que es una salto grande si vienes de dos monitores máxima comodidad, la única pega que a mí no me importa es visualizar contenido no preparado para 32:9 o ultrawide pero entiendo que la persona que compra este monitor le sacará provecho, increíble, un sueño cumplido.

So I’ve only had this monitor for like a couple weeks. But honestly, validated the purchase already. I got it on discount, but even at the 1600, I feel it would be worth it. Aesthetic lights on the back, can size down the monitor for gaming as you want, just super nice build. The stand is pretty weighty, but that’s good because I trust it to hold the monitor. Not one to review products, but I know I was on the fence about it even after my friend recommended it, but honestly just incredible picture, really nice features, and the speakers are insane. Hard to justify a price point like that, but honestly, just haven’t seen a monitor like it.

I really wanted to write a good review because I do believe this can be a good monitor; however I can’t recommend it due to my experience. The banding and options to remedy the issue are far less than ideal. I received my monitor and was just blow away by the color and HDR performance. I received it on Thursday and on Saturday while playing Skyrim I noticed the banding while hunting at night. I didn’t want to see it but now I can’t un-see. The problem persisted on my laptop and not just my desktop. This issue happened less than 3 days after my purchase arrived. I should be able to get a replacement or exchange. Not wait weeks for a repair. As I live in Florida and have dealt with Samsungs contractor for repairs here that not something I want to do to my brand new monitor. (They did a subpar repair on my television that left the back cover even more warped than before. An issue I didn’t see until much later.) I’ll probably end up just returning this unit and avoiding it as I don’t want to deal with a repair for my brand new $$$ monitor. I just wish my unit was free of defects so I could enjoy it and not deal with this hassle because I do really like the picture quality and features.

Útil y genial para conectar a la PS5. Se ve espectacular cada detalle de los juegos. También la uso con mi S8 plus, tablet S7 plus, note 20 ultra, galaxy book 12 y el fold 4. Obviamente se sincroniza muy bien y las imágenes se ajustan al tamaño de la pantalla en modo Dex. Hubiera sido genial que trajera una entrada extra de HDMI. Obvio las imágenes películas y edición digital se ven espectaculares los colores. LO MALO: Cuando se trabaja con la porción de pantalla de 49 pulgadas, con los equipos mencionados, se distorsiona un poco las imágenes pues se ven mucho más anchas de lo normal, aunque se divida la pantalla en 3 partes iguales. Si tienes otros dispositivos Samsung prenden con el mismo control, eso es algo molesto.

The colors are amazing, and the shape of the screen is wonderful for gaming as well as for some programs where the space of the characters is essential. Regardless of its size, it's not that heavy and it's easy to assemble and set up. My children enjoy it so much for gaming, thanks to its shape, quality, and size. Sound is amazing and the screen can be adapted to different heights and angles. I was a little hesitant when it arrived because of its size, but Samsung really did a great job.  My gaming experience has drastically improved. The refresh rate makes it so smooth to transition from one gaming scenario to the other. The color definition is so vivid that sometimes it makes me feel like I am in the metaverse! It is so immersive due to its qualities.  Its remote is small, easy to use, and even the design looks great. It comes with built-in wifi to be used as a Smart TV, and comes with access to Amazon Prime, Netflix, and YouTube, which makes it very convenient! It also comes with DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB are available, which makes your life easier! I definitely recommend it, as in my experience, it is one of the best monitors in the market. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having gamed on a 27” 1440p 165hz panel, there’s something about gaining an advantage when you’re able to see your enemies quicker on a wider field of view. Switching to the SAMSUNG 49” Odyssey OLED G9 Super Ultrawide was a game changer. I’m essentially looking at the same screen 27” screen I’m used to on the center 50% portion of the display but now I’m getting an extra 25% view on each side. There is little to no head movement required as the curved screen aligns with my natural field of sight and peripheral vision. I’ve tested this with a first-person shooter and a car driving sim. Being able to see an enemy a second or so quicker makes all the difference in reaction time. As a big fan of strategy games, I was able to gain more screen space playing a top-down strategy sim. As for response, I noticed more smoothness from an already good 165hz experience. This was helpful when having fast paced action moving across a 49” screen. The OLED experience was also a huge step up as the deep blacks made a difference when navigation dark scenes, and the contrast was noticeable better than a backlit panel. I was worried about burn-in, but I see the panel is pixel shifting every so often. I highly recommend this Ultrawide panel and more so the OLED technology as the technology has certainly come a long way.

Después de un mes de uso tanto profesional (programador) como de ocio puedo decir que es un monitor decente y cumple, sin embargo, creo que hay oportunidades respecto de la conectividad como por ejemplo por que no tener habilitado el puerto usb c para transmitir imagen y compartir carga con el equipo; otra oportunidad con el sistema de seguridad y es que al apagarse la pantalla genera muchos problemas de compatibilidad con los equipos al prender nuevamente la pantalla (reescalamientos de imágenes y cambios de resolución). De resto, la pantalla es una bestia muy lindos colores y negros (casi) puros. No lo recomendaría a la ligera y es que igualmente se requieren equipos super bien equipados para aprovechar el máximo potencial.

Es el monitor de 49” que todos esperamos en OLED. Su brillo es muy contenido (250 nits y HDR 400) pero el contraste infinito que proporciona el panel OLED y los colores con la tecnología quantum dot, hacen que se disfrute en todo momento. Hecho y pensado por y para juegos, habrá que esperar para el salto a más nits en la próxima serie… sorprendente el contraste/color QD-OLED, no te hace echar de menos a su hermano mayor, Neo. Depende de las preferencias, si te gusta el brillo y la productividad (y puedes aprovechar su conexión Display Port de última generación), el Neo es tu opción, para videojuegos… yo me quedo con el QD-OLED de este Odyssey de 49”.

I upgraded from the Neo G9 to this OLED G9 two weeks ago. The monitor looks absolutely amazing but it has one tiny flaw that is a big concern, and can cost you your game. I keep getting intermitting black screens, that can last two to five seconds. If I'm doing typical desktop work, internet use mainly, there is no issues but as soon as a run a game it starts to happen. Doesn't matter if it's a game from my PC via DisplayPort or my Xbox Series X via HDMI, it'll do the intermitting black screens on both inputs. I'm hoping this can be fixed with an update, but from my research this has been a long time problem for most owners of this monitor. Being this a "gaming monitor", I would think this would be on top of Samsung's list to get fixed.

Only owned the monitor for about a month. Installation and set up was really easy, and everything worked seamlessly. The packaging was slightly damaged on arrival, and a small bit of paint was missing from a part of the monitor that I would never see once it was installed, and everything worked fine so I didn’t bother mentioning it - it was likely hit during shipping. The resolution is a little bit weird to get used to at first, and took a bit of tinkering to work on some of the older games that I play (likely didn’t even have flat screen when these came out) but the screen real estate made my coding work flow unbelievably better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If there was ever a campaign suited to me this was going to be it. Having already owned the Original Samsung 49" G9 for 3 years I was very grateful for the insiders to offer me the chance of testing out the brand new Samsung G9 OLED. First thing I noticed when unboxing was how slip the G9 OLED is compared to the original with the 1000R curve instead of the 1800R giving me back some much needed desk space, I have mounted the G9 OLED on a monitor arm giving it a floating effect on the desk. Switching on the monitor for the first time i was greated with a quick start setup which allowed you to scan a QR code to get the monitor registered to the wifi and samsung account to register the warranty. Connected the PC and booted it up making sure to remember to go into the display options and switch on 10 bit colour HDR and 240hz and now it was time to game. Launched Steam and booted up Doom Eternal and wow what a difference on this OLED panel the detail just popped out and the black areas of the game were so dark. Once finished with the game i made a few adjustments in windows to hide the task bar and desktop icons and switched on the screen saver to help prevent and chance of screen burn in. I also recommend an animated background wallpaper to help the pancel moving and make sure you leave the Pixel refresh option switched on. Below I have uploaded some photos of original G9 at the Top + Left and OLED at the bottom + Right for you to see the difference. After having this monitor a day it has been well worth the upgrade thanks again The Insiders. Chris

Tizen OS is EXTREMELY laggy- complete garbage. No thunderbolt connectivity which is a disaster when trying to connect this monitor to a Mac. Micro HDMI for WHAT??? Brightness and color settings are a joke. I have the S95B and it lags just as bad as that but at least the TV is somewhat bright and colors are great. No updates to help response times/lag/user experience for either products. The people at Samsung who approved and released this should be ashamed of themselves. It'd be nice if for once you could release a product that is functional and worth the premium the consumer pays. I have been a loyal Samsung customer for years but this was my last straw.

There have been great monitors that just didn't fulfill all of my use cases. I work, study, stream, relax, and game on my monitor. I've always needed color accurate, motion clear, and the space to multitask. Before this I used an 4k OLED screen. Since swapping to this in 2023 I've stopped looking for monitors or ever feeling like I need a different monitor. While this may be perfect for me I also always have the high end GPU of the time period. I have no noticeable performance issues but can't speak to the experience of lower end or older GPUs. This item literally makes my day better and more efficient. This is the only monitor I'd give a 10/10.

Great monitor while it works. I had mine for a few months before the panel went all white and turned off. Now I am starting week 4 of chasing Samsung Care for a fix. After 3 service calls my care ticket with just closed.. no resolution, just closed. After spending hours on chat/voice support they refuse to replace the monitor and are sending out a tech for the 4th time. Ridiculous. The last tech didn't even bother to put the monitor back together again. Know I know what it's like to own an ultrawide paper weight. Thanks Samsung.

Its resolution is super sharp, the contrast is outstanding, and the colors are extremely vivid. The curvature of the monitor is spot on as it delivers a very realistic immersion to any game you might be playing and the large, expansive screen allows you to multitask with ease. During my gaming sessions this monitor has demonstrated an instantaneous response time thanks to its high refresh rate (240 Hz) and FreeSync Pro/G-Sync compatible feature. To say wow is an understatement, this thing is fantastic. The colors and blacks in the game are insane, the refresh is fast so no blur, and the curve really immersed you. This is like using vr without the stupid headset, you are so pulled into the game. As for day to day use, the only thing I need to do is try and find my mouse pointer from time to time due to the real estate, but that's not an issue. Things like movies, streaming and YouTube are like being in a theater. I went from a samsung 34" ultrawide to this thinking it might be too big, nope it's perfect. If you have the desk or wall room, get this, now!

Monitor has a great form factor and the monitor itself is gorgeous front and back. However it does have a few drawbacks: sometimes the speakers cut out, the monitor may not turn on sometimes, and every now and again it glitches when switching between display port and hdmi. Overall a great monitor and does its job very well, it's just a shame it doesn't work that way 100% of the time.

The high refresh rate and wide aspect ratio combined with my Nvidia GPU push stellar frame rates and immersive gameplay! For work, I like to have either 2 1440p sized windows or applications side by side or alot of times I will have 1 "main" 1440p sized window or app, flanked by a smaller window or app on either side. All in all I'm ecstatic about the purchase and won't hesitate to purchase again when the time comes to upgrade!

Overall a miserable experience. Operates in conjunction with a 3090 and 5080. In both instances, regardless of hardware, firmware, drivers, cables, etc., this monitor has found every moment of inconvenience to cause GPU crashes. This issue does not exist with any of my other monitors and has been consistent with the G95SC. The type of failure, for those experiencing similar issues, is a complete GPU crash with screens black, audio semi-present, and fans maxed. I could be on my PC for 2 mins, 2 hours, 20 hours, it doesn't matter. It will crash regardless of use time. This monitor is overall miserable to operate with.

En general el monitor es buenos la calidad de la imagen es muy buena, sin embargo debes tener en cuenta ciertas cosas, venia de un monitor del mismo tamaño marca samsung, este no tiene conexión de video por usb tipo C, la cantidad de puertos para conexión es menor, algunas veces cuando muevo el mouse muy rapido en los textos experimento lineas raras al usar el monitor en modo P by P, y no me gusta que la parte trasera no disponga de tapa para guardar o disimular los cables, en pro de el puedo decir que el tamaño es bastante liviano, su imagen como mencioné es muy buena, si me pregunta si lo recomiendo diría que si

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this primarily for gaming, and while most games now support it, you will get the occasional game that needs to be tinkered a bit to work with 32:9. This is primarily a review on the main display and its an easy 10/10, only limited by the hardware powering it if you decide to use it for more than just a monitor. The pictures attached show a snipped of the hundred hours I've already put on the monitor but I still wouldn't hesitate to purchase the monitor if someone asked me to.

I overall love it and could never go back to my old monitors i just wish more things supported ultra wide. My only complaint would be how buggy it acts sometimes. Sometimes it says my said it cant support a resolution when i turn on my pc and i have to unplug the Display port and plug it back in. As well as changing the aspect ratio on the monitor its really just the os itself that is buggy.

When I received and setup my monitor, I found one gray vertical banding line down the screen, irrelevant of whether using a corded input or the monitor's OS itself. This is a common issue with OLEDs. I've been able to fix on other screens by doing a full pixel refresh, but this monitor DOES NOT HAVE THE OPTION to do a pixel refresh. So I'm going to have to return the monitor instead of doing a simple pixel refresh that would most likely fix this issue. Quite infuriating honestly.

Spit screen is nice. Response time and display is great for games. The monitor can be used like a TV and has its own remote control. It also has a built in speaker. It is not loud, but decent. Only thing I don't like that much is when streaming the full screen is not used. Only the center displays. This monitor is a nice upgrade.

The thinner design also freed up a lot of space on my desk, which is a nice bonus. The curve on this monitor is less pronounced compared to my previous one, and I’m still adjusting to the "flatter" profile. While I do miss the deeper curve of the G9, it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, the improved picture quality and sleek design make this a worthwhile upgrade.

That's a great problem to have. I've had numerous monitor set ups, but this in a single, ultra wide set up is amazing. That being said, I also have 2x 27" monitors in my home office, but flip those off and just run this when I'm gaming or use it as a smart TV to stream in the background while I'm working on a project. Would recommend.

El tamaño de la pantalla me encantó, tengo mucho espacio dónde diseñar y editar video. Los colores se ven brillantes, nítidos y, obviamente, los negros impresionantes. Me gusta la calidad de la pantalla, ya tengo una tv Samsung NQled que me sorprendió, y este monitor luce espectacular. El único inconveniente es el sonido. Cumple y ya, pero no es sobresaliente y me sorprende mucho porque tengo una S9FE y sus dos bocinas pequeñas se escuchan mucho mejor.

Perfect size, good curve. The only issue I have is that when my PC wakes from sleep, they flash on and off for like 5 minutes, a couple dozen times. This behavior was happening with my last PC and my newest build. I wish they would just turn on like normal and not do whatever they are doing when they wake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to get into OLED and tried a few monitors that were 27 inches and had matte screens. They weren't bad but but they were somewhat close to the price of this monitor after discounts! Once I installed it and turned it on, all the colors and the smoothness of the panel mesmerized me. The deep blacks with the popping vibrant colors were just candy to my eyes. This was the first time I actually noticed a difference in playing games with HDR and RayTracing. That along with the 240Hz refresh rate made the games feel extra smooth even if they didn't reach that frame rate. The only issue, which is not really the monitor's fault is that there are games that don't really support the 32:9 aspect ratio but the ones that do look extra immersive. I also liked the multiview functionality since this allowed me to play the games I couldn't play in full screen at a "normal" aspect ratio.

Great colours and being qdoled brightness is more than enough . 1440p is ok at 110ppi just don't compare it to 32 inch 4k . This monitor is all about colour ,refresh rate and productivity. Sometimes when I first start it flickers on display port , simple switch input to hdmi and switch back to display fixes it . I preordered it at full price and 4 days later they dropped the price by 400£ . That's clear indication of how samsung treats their customers . That's why I will lower all ratings in this review . And probably i will never preorder any samsung product if I even decide to buy anything .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great as a gaming monitor but not-so-great for work. 5120x1440 works really well in some games but that 1440 cuts off too much for working with documents. You'd think the widescreen would be ideal for viewing documents side-by-side, but it takes too much panning and zooming to get viewable text. Not an issue in an FPS game, where the wider FOV is very beneficial. Wish it was OLED, but it isn't even though it's still pretty good. No remote is a huge problem and switching between inputs is a frustrating endeavor. Fun while it lasted. Switched to 42" OLED and . . . yes . . . great for work.

Amazing black levels while being bright enough that whe. the window us open I still see everything perfectly. I only have two complaints, first being that samsung seems to make this monitors "smart" software feel like they care more about this being a TV than a monitor. Having to navigate to HDMI or Display port in the menu unless it was previously selected and you change some settings seems a bit ridiculous. It should expect me to use my computer by default and in the VERY rare case I use the smart features, then and only the remote and navigation. Finally even after reviewing the manual I cannot get it to run again 240 hz. while using displayport it seems to be maxed at 120 hz. Besides these two issues it is a nearly perfect monitor which is why now I am working on purchasing another to replace my "upper monitor"

After just a year of owning it, my OLED G9 also bit the dust. This product has a known defect called the "white screen of death" as described in other comments or threads. A quick search for it will show you all you need to know. After about a year, the monitor goes white and gets stuck in a boot loop. I am a couple months past warranty and after a few brief troubleshooting steps, they saw it was out of the 1 year warranty and told me to kick rocks. To say I am frustrated would be an understatement. I've see quotes for more than the price of a new one. It's seems rather odd that a very similar Samsung 49inch OLED model is covered by 3 years while this one is still only covered by 1. It's as if it's known to happen, aren't confident, and they continue to sell it anyway. Absolutely insane how they just leave customers stranded after spending this much on a display just to have it be an oversized paper weight a year later.

I work in photography and video, so color accuracy is very important, but the color accuracy of the Samsung OLED display was excellent. There are not many movies or videos that support the 32:9 ratio yet, so it's a shame that the screens are cut on both sides, but it was also great for watching the video. However, I like the screen that is wide horizontally, but the screen that is narrow vertically felt a little disappointing. It is recommended to visit an offline store to see the size of the screen in advance and purchase it.

The display, speed, white/black depths, it's functions, and even the speakers are so far superior to any other form of a monitor I have ever owned or heard of. I gladly tossed two Lenovo T-34W-20 to the side once this beauty was delivered. The 240hz .03MS response is as smooth as reality. I have yet to notice lag in the interface when streaming or gaming. If I had any single thing to say negatively it would be that there is only 1 HDMI port which has caused me to change the cord two total times in the months since I purchased it. I chose not to purchase a splitter because it is so rare I'll have to switch the HDMI plug. Great job Samsung!

HDR gaming is amazing! I do wish it had the same radius as my Odyssey G9 240hz VA display. It is better for immersion into games. I wish there was a choice between having a regular OSD and the Tizen entertainment system. My monitor is always connected to my PC. After some initial setup “challenges”, the monitor remembers your last connection. All in all, this has been a great purchase! Waiting for Samsung to come out with a 49” ultrawide OLED 4K display.
