J'ai commandé le Z Fold 8 sans savoir, ni si l'écran interne allait vraiment m'être utile, ni si le format légèrement plus étroit de l'écran externe allait être un problème pour un usage fermé à une main. Je m'étais d'ailleurs posé la même question un an plus tôt pour le Z Fold 7 et je n'avais pas franchi le pas. Jusqu'à ce que je le reçoive, je me demandais si je n'avais pas fait une bêtise de mettre une telle somme dedans sans savoir si ça allait me convenir. Je l'ai depuis un peu plus d'un mois et ce que je peux dire, c'est que je ne pourrais plus revenir en arrière. L'écran interne est un énorme avantage dès qu'il y a du texte à lire en quantité (articles de presse, réseaux sociaux, ...) et je l'ouvre presque systématiquement pour ce type d'usage. Avec mon S21 ultra, j'étais toujours obligé de zoomer, ce qui obligeait à déplacer continuellement la page de gauche à droite. Concernant l'usage à une main, je ne me rend pas compte de la différence par rapport au S21 Ultra que j'avais depuis 5 ans. Pour le reste, tout est très bon, de l'impression de solidité aux fonctionnalités mais je ne l'ai pas depuis assez longtemps pour donner un avis exhaustif sur le contenu. Je recommande ce produit, il est cher mais il le vaut.

J'avais auparavant un Fold 6 et celui ci est une belle amélioration (écran avant plus large et meilleur autonomie) . Utilisant beaucoup le multitâche pour le travail et autre, je suis content de mon choix par rapport au fold 8. L’écran avant similaire à un téléphone classique permet de l'utiliser plus facilement sans l ouvrir contrairement au Fold 6.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the Galaxy Z Fold7 to the Z Fold8 Ultra, and the biggest improvement for me has been the inner display. The crease is noticeably less visible on the Fold8 Ultra and the screen looks much flatter and more refined. On my Fold7, I could regularly notice the crease, especially under certain lighting, whereas on the Fold8 Ultra it almost disappears when I’m actually using the screen. It’s still there if you specifically look for it, but it’s a huge improvement. The overall phone feels like a more polished version of the Fold experience. The large inner display is excellent for multitasking, watching content and browsing, and everything feels fast and smooth. Having owned the Fold7 already, I really appreciate the smaller refinements Samsung has made with the Fold8 Ultra. So far, I’m very happy with the upgrade and would definitely recommend it.

And despite it I was pleasantly surprised by the battery and performance of this phone. I'm getting around 8 hours of screen on time compared to 4 if I'm lucky. That's almost double! And the bigger cover screen is a welcome addition. The lack of an UDC socks, but I've gotten used to it. The higher brightness is something I didn't know I needed. I feel like after a few more revisions, this could become the perfect foldable phone.

My previous one was the Fold 4 and it started to fail after 3.5 years... time to move on. Never had a complaint with that one either. So far, the Fold 8 is being fantastic, battery lasts much more, the screen has been improved, even the line sort of uneven surface in the middle (when the phone was open) has disappeared Really a pleasure to use, I am a very loyal customer and with Samsungs for the last 20 years. I especially love the large inner screen because it makes reading, browsing and using multiple apps much easier. The phone feels fast and smooth, and I like that I can still use the outer screen when I just need to do something quickly. I was a little unsure about switching to a foldable at first, but I’ve gotten used to it very quickly. The price is definitely high, but overall I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

It was straight forward to migrate my old Ultra 23 and the wow factor quickly "un-folded" Noticeably thinner and lighter, great battery life and all the usual features on the front screen. About half my time is spent on the front screen. However, the unfolded screen opens up the amazing usability and viewability of the unfolded screen. Apps make full use of the vibrant expanded screen and apps that were really hard to view and use in the past are now so easy to view and use. Definitely no need to carry a mobile plus a Tablet or Laptop anymore. The form factor of a regular mobile but un-fold it and you have a cinematic wonder. I can never go back.

The biggest advantage for me is having a large screen that still folds into a phone I can carry everywhere. I use my phone heavily for work, including emails, documents, browsing, messaging and reviewing information on the go. Being able to open the larger display and work across multiple apps makes a noticeable difference. It feels much closer to having a small tablet in my pocket, while still giving me the convenience of a normal smartphone. The display is sharp and bright, the phone feels fast and responsive, and the folding experience feels refined. I also appreciate being able to quickly check something on the cover screen and then open the phone when I need more space. What I like most is that the Fold is not just different for the sake of being different — the larger screen is actually useful in everyday life. It has made multitasking, reading documents and handling work away from my computer much easier. There is always room for improvement, particularly making future Fold models even lighter and slimmer, but overall I’m very happy with the experience so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a hard time deciding if the Z fold 8 or Z fold 8 Ultra would be my first fold (after a long line of flagship ultra Samsung bar phones). I was tempted by the smaller size of the Z fold but I wanted something slim that I could use one handed. The Z fold 8 Ultra is perfect. It fits better in my hand than my S24 ultra did but it still feels like a full size bar phone when folded.... but..... the inside screen is beautiful for watching media. I especially like to be able to order my groceries with both my list and supermarket app open in the bottom half of the split screen while watching content in the top half the same size as a full size bar phone. (previously I'd use pop up view). This really is the best of both worlds and I'd highly recommend taking the leap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying this my third foldable phone from Samsung. Having originally had both the Z fold 2 and the Z fold 5, I decided to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 Ultra. The new thiner and lighter design is welcome, along with the larger wide outer screen compared to older models. The upgraded 200 megapixel camera is a great improvement over my previous phone, along with additional CPU processing speeds and the extra RAM. Yes this model doesn't support a stylus, however having it on previous models I really found that it was a feature I seldom used. I'm finding the new silicon battery very energy efficient and I can usually get by at least one and a half to two days without charging it up! If your debating whether to get the ultra or the standard z fold 8, I would look at whether you want a better camera or not, since that is mostly what the big difference is between the two. The new flex titanium display helps a lot with the crease, it is hardly noticeable now and when you run your fingers across the screen you can only feel a very small bump in the middle where the crease is. Overall, I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants the very latest and greatest tech! The only downside you will have when owning a folding phone is that you have to often show or talk to people about it when they see the impressive gadget in your hands!
