If your washer isn't spinning properly, it could be because of an unbalanced load, which makes it harder for the drum to spin. Not only that, an unbalanced load can also cause errors.

An "Ub" or "Ur" code is a clear sign that your washer is unbalanced.

This may be because the washer itself is lopsided or because the load inside is uneven.

To correct an unbalanced mode, first make sure the washer is level, and adjust the leveling legs if needed.

Next, make sure you are properly loading the washer with the right type of clothes. When you do a cycle, spread out your laundry evenly inside the drum.

If you are only washing one piece of clothing that's heavy, such as jeans, throw in some towels or additional items to help balance out the load.

However, if you're washing a large item that absorbs a lot of water, like a blanket, cotton quilt, rug, or comforter, we recommend washing it alone.

If your washer and loads are definitely level, the problem may be something elase, like the drain hose or pump filter.

The drain hose is super important, but it's also finicky. Make sure it's not inserted more than inches into the drainpipe and that does NOT form an airtight connection.

Finally, make sure the drain hose is suspended at least 18 inches high but is no higher than 96 inches.

Front-loading washers have one last thing you should check: the pump filter.

5. Turn the pump filter's knob counterclockwise, and then drain the remaining water.

6. Next, clean the pump filter using a soft brush or toothbrush. Make sure the drain pump propeller inside the filter is not clogged.

Once you've completed all of these troubleshooting tasks, try running a test cycle on the washer to see if the drum spins.

If it doesn't, you'll need to request service from Samsung Support to solve the issue.
