How do I format the memory card on my Galaxy S7 and Galaxy J(2016)?

A memory card formatted on a computer may not be compatible with the device. Format the memory card on the device.
Remark: Before formatting the memory card, remember to make backup copies of all important data stored in the memory card.
Samsung shall not be responsible for any loss of data.
To format the memory card on the device please see the steps below:
1. On the Apps Screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Storage.
3. Tap SD card.
4. Tap Format.
5. Tap FORMAT.
6. If completed, tap DONE.
