Why is my Galaxy Watch6 restarting itself?

The compass feature on the Galaxy Watch6 Classic contains sophisticated geomagnetic sensors that determine the direction of your Watch relative to the Earth’s magnetic field. They are used for a variety of functions including increasing location accuracy and directions.

When calibrating or charging your Watch6 Classic near a strong magnetic field, like a magnetic bracelet or e-cigarette, rotating the bezel may result in a logic error, causing a restart. This can happen when there is an interference with the compass on the watch face.

Please note: Not all watch faces are compatible with the compass feature.

How can I avoid this intermittent restart?

Whenever possible, avoid rotating your Galaxy Watch6 Classic bezel when calibrating or charging near strong magnetic fields.

If the restart issue persists, remove the compass on the watch face, which will help manage this:

1 Press and hold your watch face.
