How do I use my Samsung OneRemote as a universal remote?
The OneRemote makes controlling all of your external devices easy. When you connect a device to one of the HDMI ports on your TV, it will be automatically detected and information about the device will be displayed in the Smart Hub. Once your device is connected you can teach your OneRemote how to control them.

Please note: connect the device you wish to control to your TV before following these steps
Your TV will now wirelessly teach the OneRemote how to control your device. This will happen in the background. Once finished, you will be able to control your devices with one remote.
The TV will now switch to the device you selected and you can use the OneRemote to control it. For more information about usng the OneRemote view your TVs user manual or download the e-manual.
If you're having issues using the OneRemote as a universal remote try some of the solutions below:
- Make sure that there are no obstacles in front of the external device or your TV's logo. This can can signal issues.
- Try adjusting the position and HDMI input of your external devices.
- Re-register your external device to the OneRemote. You can do this by following the setup steps again.
- Some devices do not support the universal remote feature. Consult the user guide for your device for more information.
