During my time as the Product Marketing lead, the proudest moment I’ve experienced was in 2021 during the launch of Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3. I remember one of my biggest challenges given to me by the headquarters in Korea was to turn “Foldables” into a trending topic — a project which needed extra collaboration with cross functional teams.

Our Mobile Experience team managed to turn this into reality and for this achievement, Samsung Electronics Indonesia (SEIN) was presented with the Global Awards and our presence in the market was extremely well -accepted (as shown by our awareness results with a 95% and top-in-global ranking).

“Finding a mentor (and being one) can boost your confidence and experience levels, amplifying your visibility and efforts among stakeholders through their internal networks.”

I believe that the support and trust from your leaders or mentors are key elements in achieving success. Additionally, teamwork always pushes our efforts beyond the extra mile; it was the unwavering collaboration between team mates which helped to make this project happen. Collaboration and ownership are quintessential elements that I look for when leading projects.

Having a mentor in Samsung is also particularly valuable; they can help you to identify opportunities and guide you through challenging projects. Most importantly, a good mentor will take every team member’s recommendations into consideration for special projects and connect you with key stakeholders in the business.

Finding a mentor (and being one) can boost your confidence and experience levels, amplifying your visibility and efforts among stakeholders through their internal networks.

Last but not least, asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it's a sign of strength. So I strongly recommend anyone looking to join Samsung and be a part of the team to not be afraid to ask for help, but also to remember to return the favor!
