How to use Remote Management by using Smart Tutor Application

Samsung Remote Service enables one of our tech experts to remotely view and control your mobile device to directly help you with your product. The remote service requires the installation of the Smart Tutor app which can be downloaded via Galaxy Apps or PlayStore.

Smart Tutor Requirements :

1 Device must be running at least Android 2.4 & above
2 Stable internet connection (Wi-Fi preferred)
3 Smart Tutor app installed in device

Smart Tutor Installation & Usage :

1 Donwload and install Smart Tutor app from Galaxy Apps or PlayStore
2 Make a phone call to Samsung Careline
3 Launch Smart Tutor app
4 Select country or region
5 Agree to terms and condition
6 Enter 6- digit connection code provided by tech expert
7 Select Done

Smart Tutor Features :

1 Screen Share
  • Your mobile's screen will be shared to a tech expert and thus providing a better understanding on any inquiries or issues that you are facing.
2 Control Remotely
  • Once our tech expert is connected to your device, they will be able to control your device for checking and reviewing purposes only.
3 Chat
  • You can also disconnect the call that you made to Samsung Careline and still communicate with our tech expert via chat within Smart Tutor app.
4 Screen Lock
  • Once your device is locked the screen sharing feature will be paused and our tech experts will not be able to control your device.
5 Application Lock
  • This feature restricts our tech experts from accessing apps with customer's private information such as Gallery, Message, Email and others.

To fully utilize Smart Tutor, the app will require the following permissions :

1 Storage
  • Access photos, media and files in your device
  • Send and view SMS messages
3 Telephone
  • Make or manage phone calls
4 Contacts
  • Access your contacts
  • Standrard mobile data charges will be applied when using Smart Tutor via mobile data. Therefore we recommend using Wi-Fi to get free support
