Have been using this phone for 2 weeks now, previously a 12 generation user of Apple devices. Battery life is reportedly poor, however I find the device easily gets through the day and night with plenty to spare. Very fast, Android OS has progressed significantly from when I experienced it years ago. Screen resolution is great as is camera. I do like the two physical SIM capability. I have read many comments about the poor service received by Samsung, but have to put a shout out to the guys and gals at Samsung store in Northwest, they have been brilliant to deal with. In terms of construction of the phone, it is in a Samsung case, with no screen protector, everything is fine!

I have been trying to get a solution from Samsung sorting out the issue that VoLTE toggle is missing from my phone for a while now without any resolution whatsoever. When I just got the phone, the option to turn it off was there; however, after updating the phone to the latest software. Suddenly it's gone. Samsung said it was the network provider issue, which I was very doubtful since it was the same sim card before and after the update. I bought another sim card from the warehouse. Still no luck. Quite disappointed because the company that sells the product doesn't seem to know about their product.

Facebook and Messenger are a nightmare to use on the s22, continually logs you out, doesn't take you to your notifications, cannot change settings to all comments, two step process on messaging and copy and paste - I preferred my s10plus. Video - quality poor, maybe due to compatibility error, so still have to work that one out. S pen doesn't work properly with certain covers on phone.

First I wanted to save money to buy but then checking the Samsung member which I won from entered competition. Big thanks for giving such as good phone to try for 2022. Well worth it if you are onto such as a photographer like myself. Galaxy S22 ultra stepping up, above and beyond. As chef we are producing good food and your guy have delivered such as an incredible smartphone into deference level. Love S Pen, it does remind me of other note. I am glad Samsung NZ brought Snapdragon version this time around and one of reasons I upgraded.
Battery life could have been better but given the massive bright screen the battery life is acceptable. Love the white, I think it's the best looking colour which is subjective.
Good build, feels great in hand.
Would love to see heart rate sensor, headphone jack and expandable memory in future S Ultra/ Note devices.

I've ownder every iteration of the Note Services and Most Galaxies. I had hoped the Ultra 22 would be a return to the classic Note look and feel. Nope. The Samsung S22 Ultra has terrible latent casting with awful connectivity and network dropouts during playback. I would not buy this again and will be even less tempted to go with Samsung going forward. The quality and reliability have been compromised across many of the consumer products I used to buy. There are better options out there now Samsung. Lift your game or languish and die.

Almost impossibleto work with Wi-Fi. Same wifi works on all other old Samsung devices at the same time. Useless AI or extra protections excessively complicated. It's meant to be a smart phone, didn't require an expert to use. It'd be much preferred if the old Samsung got enough memories.

Phone is fantastic.
Have been using very heavily daily in a variety of environments and never fails to succeed at what I need it to do.
Camera takes great photos in a variety of different lighting situations.
S-pen is incredibly handy for jotting down notes and random thoughts and ideas I use it almost daily.
Screen is crisp and clear can easily watch youtube videos or stream movies without the screen feeling tiny.
Phone is quite large, but not overly so, still fits in pocket easily and aestheticly is pleasing.
I do have a case so can't comment on the cameras profile which do extend out from the back of the phone so would cause it to sit uneven if I wasn't using a case.
Buttons are clicky and responsive.
Plugging into a monitor for dex capabilities is super handy when I want to have a laptop experience on the go but want to travel light.
Phones thermals seem are great doesn't heat up with every day use, and only gets slightly warm when playing graphic heavy games.
Battery life is excellent, lasts all day with pretty heavy use, only needing a charge when I get home at the end of the day.

Had been using my Note 10+ for the past 2.5 years. It started becoming a bit slow and battery life took a major hit, so I was looking at upgrading to the S22 Ultra. The 120hz display looks amazing, and the new cameras are an amazing upgrade. The 100x zoom is excellent for zoom photos or moon shots. Would've liked to see a bit better battery life however. I get around 6.5-7 hours of SoT with moderate to heavy use, which is quite decend, but not incredible. 45w Fast charging is a life saver and cahrges the phone from 0-100% in around an hour, which definitely makes up for the average battery life. The S-Pen, display, and camera are definitely the best parts of this phone. I'd like to see some improvements with the animations. Still not as fluid as iOS or other Android brands, but OneUI is definitely one of the better android skins. If you want a phone that'll last you years to come, the s22 ultra is well worth it.

I have owned a note 8 with gorilla glass 5 for two years followed by a note 10+ with gorilla glass 6 for two 1/2 years, both had the curved edge, dropped both multiple times, both had dents on the aluminum framing from dropping (who can be careful for two years straight). Own a S22 ultra with the 'strongest even gorilla glass' for less than a month and already cracked the screen on the edge. I haven't even had a chance to drop it yet, and it has lived in its Samsung ultra smart led cover since day one, only way it could have received a crack is while it was in my pocket. Been told its defiantly not defective glass as all Samsung phones are rigorously tested, just obviously not that rigorously tested on the edge of the screen. Get a different phone if you are not ULTRA careful with phones.

I'm not stoked with the new Galaxy. I mean yeah it takes superb photos but there's little things that are paying me off that I can't seem to fix like having a two step process just to add an emoji to my text or not having a feckin head phone jack!!!! I hate wireless headphones and if I had checked this feature beforehand I never would have bought it!!!!

Best phone I've ever had. The camera is super - that zoom!!! The added bonus of the pen has been so useful too. The phone runs well (I run a lot of apps, plus a split work account, and a second sim card). With all my apps running and the second sim I get good battery coverage (without needing battery saver) - it lasts all day no issue. Do notice better battery performance on wifi rather than mobile data but it's not really an issue. Charging (with a super fast charger) is so quick and the phone doesn't get too hot. All round such a great phone and I highly recommend it.

Volume is top right side. So have to really stretch fingers and with poor control and power. So can't reach volume one hand unless using right hand.
Most phones volumes on the left. Bigger phones should also have further down so easily accessible.
Basic feature makes phone terrible to use forever!

The phone is fine didn't really notice much difference between my S20 to this one. Sure the screen is a little better main thing you are paying for is the camera which is great. I've been using Samsung's for the past 15 years and always loved them. I've had the phone a month now. It is a little too big to comfortably slip into your back pocket. Doesn't fit in your jacket pocket is a little too tall.
Within less than 5 days the back bottom corner glass has damage and the phone hasn't been dropped! Very poor design and clearly weak glass on the rounded corners. I honestly had been super careful with it. I don't understand why the even use glass on the back. Heartbreaking to spend so much money to have a big crack on the back almost immediately. Cost to fix is over $400. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this poorly designed phone.

It has a lot of good features for a phone, unfortunately Samsung devices seem to have gone down in terms of quality over the years. My first samsung, a note 4, outperforms the S22 ultra in terms of durability. Within 3 months of owning the S22 ultra, a part inside of it faulted out and the screen just died, it turned a bright white and you cannot see anything. It has been 2 months since I sent it away to samsung repair to be fixed and have returned to using my note 4. My recommendation is to avoid purchasing fancy devices just because they are well marketed.

I bought a S22 a few months ago and was unable to buy a screen protector. I have been too busy to go back and get a screen protector. I dropped the S22 once and it made a small crack in the corner. My screen has now gone half dark and it will cost $600 to get fixed and take 2 - 3weeks tne (so that means I have no phone for 2-3 weeks)

Loads of features, I probably haven't even scraped the surface of its capabilities tbh. The S22 Ultra is a step above the rest. As a business owner, I need a phone that can withstand multi-tasking and fast response, with features that increase productivity and makes everyday tasks easy. When business is done for the day the home profile sets in so I don't get distracted by every email at all hours. The phone camera is absolutely excellent in capturing every day memories, for the first time I can leave the pro camera at home as the S22 Ultra comes very close to being able to replace the DSLR in most applications.

Expensive and the battery life isn't stellar, but the camera and the pen are what I bought the phone for and they both delivered. My biggest frustration tends to be with getting the fingerprint reader to respond, but this could just be my fingerprints. But I love the screen size! I only bought because my last phone died as I didn't want to lose my headphone jack and expandable storage that all phones nowadays have seemingly lost, but it works well for what I need. Just wish Samsung would bring those options back!

I would write a review but I don't have the phone, despite Samsung promising that they would be available on the 17/18 March, its now another 2 weeks minimum and my other phone is dying so I waited for the S22. If there was a delay why did someone at a Samsung Store (in a mall) tell me it would be 2 weeks (from the start of March). The call centre in the Philippines were reading from a script and not interested in helping me.

Excellent Phone. I have had a number of Galaxy phones and my main use is for work, dealing with emails, pdfs, spreadsheets and websites. I find the quality of the display excellent for viewing documents and images. The performance is fantastic and I never experience slow or poor performance.
The camera is probably the main feature I use for personal purposes. Taking photos of family and kids sports. I have found the image quality excellent and works well in both outdoor & indoor situations.

I updated my contract with a new phone about 6 weeks ago.
I went for samsung because I have had previously and been happy.
I really regret it.
The glass is not very responsive - I have missed calls because I have my finger in the right place and it does nothing.
I use google - its fine and no worse than anyother service.
My phone wants me to use bixby - I've turned it off more than once and somehow it comes back (usually after a reboot)
This is so wrong - I bought the phone and the software and hardware to be able to make calls and use the internet.
I didn't want it to make my life difficult as it fights some battle with me to force me to go completely samsung.
Never coming back and thinking of returning it if the screen stays as it is
Message to samsung - get back to making good android phones.

The S Pen is an awesome feature that I really need. I am more of a writer rather than a typist, drawing pictures and diagrams are my thing. The quality of video and images is great. I love using it along with the S Pen for video analysis of sport, as a Sports Coach. The results for using the features helps me create great images. I am still learning more about all the features and there is a lot of support covering it. Very happy with the S22 Ultra

I bought this phone because the sales person did a really good job talking it up and convinced me to buy it. I wanted a phone with an exceptional camera, to replace my Huawei p20, which was going to be a tall ask. I didn't want the Ultra because it was too big, too expensive and I didn't like the sharp corners, so settled for the s22plus as I was told it's got the same features but smaller, less camera and less battery. I found out that was completely wrong. The plus model has very few features compared with the ultra. I'm really disappointed with the quality of the photos, despite being 50mp camera and the video is rubbish compared to my old phone. If I didn't sell my old phone, I would be still using it now. Shame on Samsung for putting all the marketing into the Ultra models. Not everyone wants to pay ridiculous prices for a huge phone.

Honestly I'm pretty disappointed by this phone so far. I just upgraded from a Huawei P30 which is over 3 years old, and that 3 yr old phone has a better battery life than my brand new S22 Ultra... still learning how the camera works, which was my biggest draw to this phone so hopefully that doesn't disappoint. Samsung S22 Ultra, WOW sums up this phone. I have been a Samsung junkie for years and have always liked my products but this onI can truly say "I love everything about it". Awesome phone with all the latest features, the camera is outstanding, battery lasts longer than any smartphone Ive ever had before. Great phone, love using modes and routines to make my phone run more efficiently!
Battery life is great - I only use about 65% of its capacity each day (compared with 100-150% on my old Galaxy Note20).
Only downside is how expensive it is - fortunately I was able to get a good deal and traded in my old phone, so it ended up being about half price - wouldn't have been so keen if I was paying the full price...

I have been a Samsung user for over 10 years and this is the worst phone. 3.5 headphone jack removed, you have to buy an adapter for it bu make sure its a a DAC adapter because they don't tell you that. Phone over heats easily even upon web browsing for 5 or 10 mins. The change side change of volume controls are bad, why change a good thing. Last Samsung phone i buy and waste 1k of this lackluster trash.

This phone is phenomenal. It has so many features that blew my mind away when i first got it. Its charge lasts the whole day, even when im scrolling through social media, on the phone, watching youtube videos or even playing games. The colour is very nice and crisp. Screen is a good size and displays colours well. The added spen is a great feature as im able to take quick notes when i dont have the time to find a pen and paper. The photos from this phone are phenomenal, and my phone is the primary phone my friends want me to use when taking photos. The spen also acts as a remote when taking photos so im able to stand away from the phone after setting it somewhere and take some nice photos of me and friends without needing someone to take them for me! Its quick charging is super helpful, so i can charge my phone from 0 to 100 in just over an hour. So if my phone is low and i need to go out, im able to charge it quickly.

When my Galaxy S22 Ultra arrived it would not hold its charge, after a week if trying to charge it and use it I TRIED to contact Samsung for help.. That took over a week until a courier bag arrived for me to send the ph back.
The after sales issue customer service is absolutely useless.

I've been using the 22 Ultra for 6 months. Its speed, high refresh rate screen, and QHD resolution have made this an absolute pleasure to use. The camera is superb. For a quick snap it is excellent. Though if I'm trying to convey accurate colour I find myself going into the "Pro" settings to adjust colour temperature and light which makes for excellent subject representation. The S Pen is more useful than I thought it would be. Marking up photos and highlighting text. Knocked a star off for the battery life (would only be a ½ star if I could). Promotional material says "All day battery", not quite. I find I'm having to give the phone a brief top up at the end of the work day to get through the evening. I'm a bit iffy on the curved edges. looks cool but I think I'd get more value out of a completely flat screen. However... All the negative points aside it's a freakin awesome phone! Surprisingly the S Pen might keep me on the Ultra for the foreseeable.

Having stuck with my Note 9 Plus for a few years which served me very well I wanted to upgrade to the S23 Ultra mainly for the camera features, quality and extended battery life. The transition to the S23 was painless and I have loved exploring the new and improved features and benefits that the camera has. I use this for investigation work daily and amd very impressed with the quality of the photos,outputs and performance of the camera and the battery life. The old adage that a picture says a 1000 words is definitely true in my line of work and the quality and the ability to switch between the various camera lenses on the phone certainley pay divedends for me. Of course having the built in pen helps for making notes on photos or to help point out particulars
as well as making notes. Apart from that the other features new or improved the S23 Ultra makes for a very useful tool in the field. Combined with a great screen protector and rugged case it certainley meets what I need it to do.
