How do I transfer contacts using Bluetooth?

If you wish to transfer contacts via Bluetooth, ensure first that the Bluetooth device/s are paired. To pair the mobile device, follow the steps below:

1 Turn Bluetooth On for both devices. Ensure that the other device is set to be visible to all devices. Tap Scan button to see the list of available devices.
2 The other device should then appear on the list. Tap its name to pair with it. In the image below, pairing is with Galaxy S4.
3 A Bluetooth pairing prompt screen will be displayed. Tap the Ok button to proceed with the pairing. To ensure complete pairing, confirm the request on the other device as well.

If pairing is successful, the name of the other device should show up in the list of paired devices in Settings > Bluetooth.

Now, to transfer contacts using Bluetooth, follow these steps:

1 Open the Contacts app on your device
2 Select the 3 dots in the top right corner to show a menu
2 Click Share
4 Select the contacts you would like to share, or Select the All button
5 Once you have selected the contacts to transfer. Select Share located at the middle bottom of the screen .
6 Tap Bluetooth then Select the paired device. Files will transfer automatically.

4 Tap on the checkbox of the Contact you want to share.

7 Tap on the paired device, a message will appear on the other device asking if you want to accept the sent file.

A prompt will appear on the phone if the contact was transferred successfully.

1 On the Home screen, tap Contacts icon.
2 On the Contacts page, tap Menu button, or press and hold on the contact for the menu to appear.
3 On the Contacts menu, tap Import/Export option.
4 On the Import/Export menu, tap Share namecard via option.
5 The list of contacts will be displayed. Select a contact to transfer by ticking the corresponding checkbox, and then tap Done button to transfer.
How do I transfer contacts using Bluetooth?
6 On the Sharing Options menu, tap Bluetooth option, and then tap Just once button.

Note: When Always button is tapped, any data to be shared between the paired devices will be done via Bluetooth.

Note: If Share namecard via is not available, you could transfer the contacts through Samsung Kies. This will let you either transfer directly to another phone, or to your PC for storage. 

Alternative options include Smart Switch Mobile App or Smart Switch PC Tool
