How to create a group contact?

On your Samsung Galaxy device you are able to create groups for contacts. This means you can manage multiple contacts and send messages or email to an entire group.

Please note: For SMS message, the group message recipients limit is 20.

To create a group see the steps below:

1 Open the Conatcts app icon Contacts app on the device.
2 Select the Menu button.

On new Android OS Versions, this can be located in the top left corner and may look like 3 lines    

3 Beside Groups select down arrow icon to open the drop down, then select + Create Group.

                                              

4 Enter a Group name and select a Group ringtone.
5 To start adding contacts select + Add member and select contacts. Press Done when complete.

                                              

6 If you would like to remove a contact from the group tap on red minus icon beside the name
7 Once you are happy with the members within the group select Save

To edit or manage the contact group:

1 Open the Menu tab and select the group you want to manage.
2 Select the 3 dots in the top right hand corner to Delete or Send message.
3 Select the pencil icon to edit or add members.
