The unknown tag message is displayed on the mobile’s screen when the NFC feature is enabled and the mobile device accidentally comes into contact with a credit card or other NFC compatible media. In these cases, the action to take will be to temporarily disable the NFC feature of the mobile.

Note: This will also remove any "random" beeping noises your device may be making due to being in contact with a Bank Card, Opal Card etc.

To disable (or enable) NFC, simply follow these steps:

Step 1: On the Home screen, tap Apps icon.

Step 2: On the Apps page, tap Settings.

Step 3: On the Settings menu, disable the NFC feature by moving the switch to the left until it turns gray.

The NFC feature will then be turned Off and the mobile should stop emitting audio notification whenever it comes into contact with NFC compatible media.
