How to reset water filter indicator on RF28JBED French Door Refrigerator?
The filter indicator light only comes on after the unit has been on for approximately 6 months.
If ice production and/or water pressure from the dispenser slows, the filter needs to be changed.
Areas with hard water may result in more frequent water filter replacement due to lime deposits clogging the filter.
Resetting the water filter indicator
If ice production and/or water pressure are normal, but the light is on, there is no need to change the filter. Just keep in mind that when ice production and water pressure begin to slow, the filter needs to be changed.
