Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

The following issues that may occur with the S21 camera are not malfunctions.

8K videos are the highest resolution video specs supported by smartphones released to date, providing a very detailed description.

The 8K video is recorded at 24 fps, such as a movie theater, and may appear to drag or delay in fast motion, but this is a natural phenomenon based on frame rate.

8K video is recommended for use when you want to shoot a relatively low-movement and detailed image, and 4K or FHD 60fps is recommended for shooting a lot of movement and dynamic images.

The 8K video which synced with OneDrive on Gallery or shared between groups is played by downloading a video in real-time from the Samsung Cloud server or MS OneDrive server.

So the streaming speed and video quality of the 8K videos may differ by network conditions and it may take more time depending on network speed. If connected network speed isn’t enough fast to transfer the data with large capacity such as 8K video in real-time, the streaming may not be smooth properly. If you experience this symptom, we recommend playing the video after downloading it on your device.

A 108M high-pixel image sensor mounted on the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s wide-angle lens has a larger size compared to the camera image sensors of previous devices. The larger the image sensor, the longer the focal length is necessary. So, the closer the shooting object is, the image may be out of focus.

However, this is a normal phenomenon according to the camera image sensor’s characteristics, not device defect.

It is recommended that you do not position subjects within too close distances from the device to take clear photos and keep the proper distances between the device and object. In addition, if you want to take images of close objects, please take clear close-up pictures of your subject using the Autofocus feature.

The Ultra-wide lens allows you to take wide-angle(120°) photos or record wide-angle videos which look just like the actual view. While taking the photos by a wide-angle lens, minor distortion may occur in wide-angle photos or videos and it does not indicate device performance problems.

To correct the distortion in photos taken with the Ultra-wide lens, tap settings-icon.PNGon the preview screen, tap Save options, and then toggle the Ultra-wide shape correction switch to activate it.

It automatically correct distortion in pictures taken with the Ultra-wide lens.

Shaking the phone while the camera is not working may cause the OIS to rattle as it hits the internal structure. OIS Optical Image Stabilizer) the feature detects shaking hands and moves the lens in the opposite direction of shaking to correct it.

OIS feature allows minimizing shaking when shooting pictures, previewing, recording video, and the exposure time automatically adjusts to take sharp pictures in a dark environment.

This is not a product defect and is a symptom that occurs due to the characteristics of the OIS feature, and it does not affect the function and performance of the product.
