How to set up the dispenser of Samsung side by side refrigerator

To make enjoyable freshwater and ice, follow the dispenser installation video below. After the installation, make sure to dispense about 10 liters of water or dispense the water for 6 - 7 minutes before using the refrigerator to remove any impurities from inside the water filtering system. If you require more information, find a user manual or contact the Samsung service center.

1. Phillips screwdriver

2. Flat-head screwdriver

3. Socket spanner (10 mm)

4. Allen spanner (5 mm)

5. Electric drill

Note: Tools are not provided with the refrigerator.

Note: 

  • The water line must be connected by a qualified technician.
  • The warranty for your refrigerator does not cover the water line installation.
  • If you encounter a water leak, contact your local Samsung service center or the water line installer.

When connecting the water line, please check connector valve for the water flow direction and connect as specified (indicator arrow). Failing to connect the water line in the right direction will prevent the water supply from working properly.

1. Put your hands on the bottom left door at the front of the refrigerator and pull out the two hoses.

2. Connect the hoses to the same color connectors.

Note: The location of the water line hose may vary by model.

Establish a filter location

Cut off the water supply hose provided at the filter location. (The cut location of the hose may vary depending on the model of the refrigerator and the installation location.)

Note: Make sure not to shorten the hose length and smooth out the cut surfaces at the right angle to prevent a water leak.

1. Unclip the water filter and connect the hose.

2. Connect the hose on both sides of the filter.

Note: 

  • WATER FILTER MUST BE INSTALLED.
  • Make sure to install a water filter.
  • Failing to install a water filter may allow fine foreign materials (sand, lime) in the water to continuously enter the water supply line and possible cause defects in the water supply system.

3. Attach the lock clips to the appropriate location positioning and fixing the lock clips firmly using screws.

4. Insert the water filter into the upper and lower clips in the correct direction. (follow filter instructions)

Note: Please make sure to check the vertical direction of the water filter (usually marked on the filter).

Note: The water line must be connected by a qualified technician. The warranty for your refrigerator does not cover the water line installation.

1. Shut off the water supply by closing the main water valve. 

2. Locate the cold, mains or potable water pipe.

3. Follow the water Line Installation from the product to the water pipe cold connection.

4. Assemble the water pipeline using couplers. 

5. Connect the coupler to the cold water tap supply.

Note: Make sure to connect the coupler to the cold water tap.

6. Loosen and remove the compression nut from the water line of the refrigerator and insert it to the water filtering hose.

7. Tighten up the compression nut to connect the water filtered hose and the water line.

8. Open the main water valve and check for any leaks.

Note: If there are no leaks, dispense about 10 liters of water or dispense the water for 6 - 7 minutes before using the refrigerator to remove any impurities from inside the water filtering system.

9. Secure the water line to a sink or a wall using a clamp.

10. Do not overtighten the water line. Make sure the water line is not bent, pinched, or squashed.

11. Make sure the water line is not bent, pinched, or squashed.

Note: Make sure the joined section of the water line is kept straight.

Open the cold water tap to connect the water line to the refrigerator.

Note: Make sure to connect the coupler to the cold water tap. 

When all the steps are completed, plug in the power cord.

 

1. Check the display buttons are fully operational.

2. Open the doors check if the inside lights are on and the temperature display is available to adjust.

3. Set the temperature to the coldest, shut the doors and wait for at least an hour before resetting the display to desired temperatures.

Note: Where possible and by law an electrical safety test should be conducted prior to powering it on.

1. Make sure the front door display is turned on.

2. Gently hold the icemaker bucket with both hands and remove it from the ice chute.

Note: Let the refrigerator operate for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal performance.

3. Press the test button at the bottom of the ice maker for 3 seconds to check if the ice maker operation is ok.

4. You will hear a chime if the ice maker operates properly.

5. Press the button on the dispenser panel and dispense some water and ice to verify the impurities.

Note: Dispense about 10 liters of water or dispense the water for 6 - 7 minutes before using the refrigerator to remove any impurities from inside the water filtering system.
