What to do when Samsung Air Conditioner is not cooling?

Last Update date : Jul 15. 2022

If your Air Conditioner is not cooling properly, follow the instructions below to rectify the issue:

For Split Air-conditioners:

● If the Air Filter is blocked by dust, it will affect the cooling efficiency. Clean the Air Filter regularly to improve the performance

● Check whether the temperature set on your remote controller is higher than the environment. Press the + or - Temp button to set the temperature accordingly

● Check if the outdoor unit is covered or installed near any obstacles. Remove the obstacles to improve the efficiency

● Performance will be affected if the doors and windows are open. Close the doors and windows

● If the room size is bigger than the capacity of the Air-Conditioner, the room may not cool properly

● Check if the Air Conditioner is turned on after stopping the cooling operation. Only the fan will be running in order to save the outdoor unit compressor from damage. Press Mode button on your remote control and select Cool mode

● Check if the pipe length that connects the indoor and outdoor unit is too long. Cooling performance will decrease if the pipe length exceeds the maximum allowable length

For Window type Air-conditioners:

● Check whether the temperature set on your remote controller is higher than the environment. Press the + or - Temp button to set the temperature accordingly

● Check whether the correct operating mode (i.e Cool) has been selected

● Check that there is no obstacle blocking the air-flow into or out of the unit

● If the Air Filter is blocked by dust, it will affect the cooling efficiency. Clean the Air Filter regularly to improve the performance
