    The stand on the 55" F8000 is the same width as the TV, which means the TV stand has to be the same width or wider. There are no TV stands the same width as this TV, and not everybody has room for a wider stand although the width of the TV would be OK. I would go and buy this TV tomorrow, with a smaller width stand (As 90% of all the Samsungs have) it would fit straight on my stand. What a shame I have to drop down in spec just because of the stand width. Are there any plans on a optional (Narrower) stand ?

    The stand is as wide as the TV. If the stand seems too wide the TV itself is not ideal for those who think the stand is too wide. The stand in F8000 looks beautiful but some may still find wall-mounting ideal (if right TV furniture is not present).

    It's a shame, bit of a design slip up there as many people will not but this TV because of the stand width. Personally I'm off to buy the F7000 doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between the two.

    I am trying to use the WMN2000B this morning on the F8000 and the bolts for the back are the wrong size??? Frustrating

    i had to choose sky in the original set up cos virgin was not shown , will virgin become compatible later ?

    i am in a compatible virgin media post code but it only showed sky when i selected set top box as the source of my signal

    I already own a samsung smart tv (46 ins) and this 55ins set will poke out the sides of my existing stand which is sited in the corner of my room. Any new stand is likely to intrude further into the room
