[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this monitor at the beginning of covid and it has been part of my home office since then. 4k on a 28 inch means there is lots of real estate for VSCode and then some. The colors are natural but the HDR is only as good as most entry level monitors. The refresh rate at 60hz is good for work. The eye comfort option minimizes blue light to avoid glare on long programming sessions. Haven't gamed much but on occasional times when I did there is slight tearing even with freesync. So not a good gaming option. Videos are nice and works with windows 11 and HDR. Overall it's a great work monitor with crisp text and lots of real estate.

once set up, it is an excellent display. i set it up using an m1 macbook pro. the color rendition is nearly a perfect match to the m1. in fact, the white of the monitor is slightly cleaner and more white than the m1 display. the one problem i have is i bought a cable to go from the mac to the display port of the monitor, but could not get it to work. perhaps a non-apple cable will not work. the hdmi cable supplied with the monitor worked instantly. i’m not a gamer, so i have no comments regarding gaming on this monitor. the little nub of a “joy stick” at the bottom of the monitor, took a little getting used to. considering the price, a good value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up the Samsung 28" UR50 monitor and I'm loving it so far! This thing looks amazing in 4K - everything is super sharp and clear. Photos and videos really pop with the vibrant colors this monitor produces. Setup was a breeze with the handy ports on the back. I'm no tech wiz but I had this hooked up to my laptop and ready to go in under 10 minutes. The adjustable stand lets me tweak the height and angle to find that perfect sweet spot. Overall, for the price, you can't beat the picture quality on this Samsung. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a solid 4K monitor that won't massacre your wallet.

I like this monitor, but there are some serious issues with it if you plan to use it for anything other than exactly how it's built. One, the back has a circular cutout, so if you want to mount it, you can't use anything bigger than 75x75 without spacers. Second, the vesa pattern is on the upper half of the monitor vs in the middle, and the bulk of the weight is at the bottom -- so if you want to mount this in portrait, you're going to have a tilted monitor no matter what you do. Third, the monitor tilts forwards about 15 degrees, and it can't be adjusted. Meaning if you want to put it next to another display of a diff size or make, it's not going to line up properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this monitor for my work from home set up utilizing a macbook pro. Display is very sharp and clear and is able to vesa mount on a monitor arm. Colors are great and the anti-glare works well dealing with a window directly in front of it. Viewing 4k content is really good, smooth action. HDR isn't great and to me is not usable with it being a marketing tool than one that does well since the peak nits is not there for this particular monitor. tried some light gaming and it feels smooth at 60 hz, however experiencing some flickering from time to time. I have not figured out what is causing it but I am assuming the freesync messing with the gsync, etc. So i just leave everything off.

The picture quality is very nice with the colors being pretty vibrant on both my windows laptop and mac mini. Assembly was also a breeze, only taking me about 5 minutes in total. The HDMI port that came with it was defective, but that wasn't the monitors fault. I've had no issues since then, but when this monitor is turned on it DOES give out a high-pitched electronic buzzing noise. I still wonder why this happens, but be wary when buying. (I have HyperX headphones, so I cant usually hear it with them on. On my model its very faint but noticeable. If you do want to avoid the squealing of this monitor, I advise also getting some over-ear headphones, or something with noise-cancelling.) 4/5.

Nach 5 monate muss ich leider den Bildschirm zurück schicken. Ein teil von den Monitor passt ist irgendwie dunkler. (Seher bild) Habe mit  neue Kabel so wie auch mit andere PC  versucht und es geht nicht weg. Ich brauche Monitor für Home office und bin währenden Reparatur ohne Bildschirm. Sehr enttäuscht über die Samsung Marke.

Monitor używam około tygodnia czasu. Sporo czasu udało się mi na nim przepracować. Co do zalet to obraz i konstrukcja ekranu. Obraz jest wyraźny, dobrze podświetlony z dobrym odwzorowaniem kolorów. Ekran otoczony jest z trzech stron cienką ramką a dolna szersza, nadaje charakter całej konstrukcji. Co do wad muszę zaliczyć fabryczny uchwyt, który jedynie podtrzymuje ekran i brak mu jakiejkolwiek regulacji. Przy zastosowaniu uchwytu Vesa 75x75 bez dystansów/podkładek nie uda się zamontować monitora ze względu na zbyt mały obwód wgłębienia. Polecam produkt jako stosunek jakości do ceny.

Do not buy this monitor. I had purchased it and just a few short months later my head started really hurting. I didn't realize at the time but there was a high pitched noise coming from the back of the monitor when it was plugged in. MANY of the products have reviews regarding high pitched noises (Refer to S80UA UHD and UE590 UHD. Probably more) I highly recommend that you reconsider purchasing Samsung Monitors due to this clear defect in the product that occurs in multiple models. The high pitched noise is not just annoying and destroys all productivity but it is a HEALTH CONCERN.

I bought this monitor two days ago, replacing my 10 year old 27" iMac. The Samsung monitor is good, but not great. The bezel edge-to-edge screen creates more visual surface area and the color is accurate, but the resolution is only OK. My biggest issue, and why I'm giving this a 3 star review, is the sound. It's terrible. Speakers and sound aren't mentioned anywhere in the specs. Now I know why. I kept looking for the tape that must cover them, used during shipping to protect them...but no, there isn't any tape. As far as I can tell, there's only one speaker and it sounds like people are speaking into a bucket. I have all the peripherals set up, but I may or may not keep this monitor. 12 more days to decide...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this monitor as the primary screen at my PC desktop at work (I'm a teacher), and love how much additional screen real estate it's provided. UHD is definitely a major plus. This monitor was very easy to set up and the box and styrofoam were reusable when packaging up my classroom at the end of the year. Control of the screen is easy and intuitive. I don't think HDR serves any purpose for my particular use case; to me, it just made the screen dimmer. I'm sure that it's nice for watching movies and playing games, I just don't use this monitor for that very much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is a great choice for general productivity in the office. The image is crisp at 4k, and the colors are acceptably accurate. It's lightweight, so my vesa stand easily accommodates it for ideal positioning. The price was so good that I've purchased 4 of them, 2 of which I've had for 2+ years and they're going strong. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a solid office monitor. I would probably recommend a different choice for someone who is editing photos/video all the time, and it certainly isn't for gamers.

I bought this November 2022 and it did not last a year. I figured I should write a review so people can at least be warned. The first issue is out of the box, the circle button at the bottom of the monitor for input and power does not work all of the time. You cannot adjust height with the stand given. After about 6 months of use, the screen began to go black. We presumed that something could be wrong with the PC so we tried many different things and nothing worked to fix the issue. The screen would just randomly go black. After another 6 months, the monitor completely stopped turning on. No rhyme or reason, it just wont turn on anymore. I still try it in a few different outlets hoping it will come back but to no avail. I will just be buying another brand when I get the chance.

Garbage. Stay away. Middle Dongle will eventually short itself. Meaning, my up is now down, and my down is now right. Right is now left, etc etc. And it's been like this for about 2 years now. Also the image skews yellow. No matter how you set it, white's always gonna be beige. For that price buy yourself something nicer with a higher refresh rate. Also, the HDR is just washed out. And if you don't believe me, google the reddit post on this monitor. It's got a history of bugging out on people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it for mainly reading, studying and watching youtube videos. At the moment, it is working well for me. The bezels are not too much though they need to be a bit more smaller but I'm probably being too knitpick-y. The resolution and the ppi on this monitor are amazing which make the curve look so natural and create a natural viewscreen. I will definitely get a wider monitor soon. all in all, Samsung monitors have been great for me so far. Can't wait to see what they innovate more.

The monitors sit almost seamless next to each other. I use them for Documents, Spreadsheets, web apps, adobe cloud apps, fusion360, watching / editing video, and graphic design. They pair very well with my Macbook pro 16 and don't feel the need to keep opening my laptop for a better picture or more desktop space.

Got this screen in October of 2021. Great for watching movies on several streaming channels at full res. Using it for basic web browsing no gaming. It started flickering a grey snow screen ever so slightly a few months ago and is now becoming more pronounced after reinstalling drivers and and reseating the HDMI cable, then changing the HDMI cable. It continues to just flicker, go black and then flicker every so often. Soooo, 4 years of good use and now...

To get 4k@60Hz I will need to buy a displayPort cable because if I use the hdmi cable that comes with the monitor with an adapter for usb3-c I will only get 4k@30Hz and QHD at 60Hz. You can't adjust the stand height so I had to buy a support for the monitor, the cables are a little bit hard to plug. Besides that the colors look great, font looks great on 4k on a mac. Switch looks perfect and having the upscaling feature is really nice for the switch.

I like the settings, but I wish it were available on the monitor screen via software instead of using the little control switch under the lower lip of the monitor. and having to toggle left and right etc. it is rather annoying. Otherwise, it is well made, excellent quality, and I am very satisfied with this monitor.

When I'm not working I am watching the latest streaming series or playing a game. This monitor provides a lot without eating up a lot of desk space. good IPS display and quality, counter part ist the missing buttons, only some kind of joystick at the buttom which is very bad in US in terms of selecting according option. second couner part: VESA mount is not well made as it has a round cut-out. As a result, my table monitor mount fits more poorly than it should. Anyone knows where to get firmware file ? as this device offers upgrading firmware via USB stick , see manual.

just have had multiple issues with mac os where the monitors won't be identified correctly and every time the computer would go to sleep they would wake up to a wrong display order. may be i should have only bought one of them to avoid this and problem but its just very annoying. and the price drop of 100$ just within a few months of buying this is also not a great thing to see. its only been 3 months since i got these :(

The image quality is great, I like the simplistic design and it has enough ports for my other devices. Perhaps, I don't like the automatic feature to turn on the monitor. When it detects the PC has started it does it and fails in most of the other scenarios. i.e. When I return from away it won't turn even the other monitor successfully turn on. When It goes to sleep and I reactivate my session it fails to turn on

Po pierwsze- dostawa. Monitor zamówiony 29.04 o 15:30, dostawa 30.04 o 12:30. Poniżej 24h. Najszybsza z jaką się spotkałem. Sam monitor- odpowiedni rozmiar, rozdzielczość 4k, poprawne odwzorowywanie kolorów, obsługa HDR, matowa matryca i naprawdę przyzwoita cena. Wszystko czego mi było trzeba ;). Jedyny minus dla mnie to brak regulacji wysokości i kąta ustawienia monitora na załączonej do zestawu stopce.

i have dell xps 8900 desktop with intel i7 6700 cpu - nvidia gtx 745 gpu. nvidia said the gpu only support maximum 4k at 30hz but when i turn on freesync on this monitor it supports 4k at 60hz...if i turn off freesync it only support 4k at 30hz. just turn on freesync at monitor setting. the quality is very good too. i will wait and see how long it last and i might change my review.

I have had this monitor for about 3 years, and I loved it up until today. Im the middle of use it went black and it will not turn back on. All the cables have been checked, and the blue light indicates that it is "on", and my computer recognizes that that there is a monitor connected, but nothing appears on the screen. So disappointing.

Plusy: - ładne, żywe kolory, - rozdzielczość 4k + 28 cali to udana para (oczywiście trzeba ustawić skalowanie tekstu w Windows 10 na 150 - 200% jeśli nie ma się sokolego wzroku), - równomierne podświetlenie, - szczęśliwie (dotychczas) nie trafił mi się żaden bad pixel, - przyzwoite kąty widzenia, - nie stwierdziłem żadnego migotania obrazu (a jestem na nie wyczulony), czyli faktycznie obraz jest flicker free. Minusy: - funkcja ochrony oczu (na którą mocno liczyłem) niestety jest dla mnie nie do użytku - gdy jest włączona, nie można regulować kontrastu (ma on stałą, ustaloną przez producenta wartość), obraz jest wówczas zbyt jasny, z ochroną oczu ma niewiele wspólnego, praca w nocy odpada zupełnie, - również zbyt jasny obraz przy minimalnym ustawieniu jasności / kontrastu (problem można obejść zmniejszając wartości składowych RGB przy własnych ustawieniach koloru), - mocowanie VESA jest we wgłębieniu, wymaga zastosowania min. 5 mm podkładek.

And I play newer games with high resolutions which the monitor looks really good with. I was hesitant on getting a monitor for gaming that only has 60hz refresh rate but the payoff for amazing colors, dynamic range, and great, smooth graphics are all too much to trade.

It was fine for about a year but pixel died right after warranty ended. Definitely sketchy and no warranty support for dead pixels anyway like AOC or other brands. I have a samsung 4k TV that had dead pixels as well. Willing to work with them to get it resolved but would be surprised if they cared. My Samsung phone is fine at least.

Monitor arrived today and seems fine however the mains didn't have UK plug. So monitor remained useless until I frantically found a shaver adaptor. Nowhere was I warned prior to purchase that it will not have UK power plug. Apart from that once turned on, pluged in; it seems fine. Didn't contain DP cable included either

The picture is good. But if you plan on having to HDMI cables connected to it and plan to switch back and forth, don't buy it. I've never had a monitor or TV have so much trouble switching between inputs. Half the time it doesn't work, the auto detect input doesn't always work either. It's seriously awful.

No lag, clear image, clean design, and good color and contrast. The only negative would be the lack of height adjustment, but that's obviously not a dealbreaker. De monitor bied een prachtig en scherp kleurenbeeld. Instelling en overzicht zijn zeer gemakkelijk. Het verbruik het laag. Ik gebruik de monitor als scherm voor de beveiligingscamera's en met deze monitor mist je geen details. Deze monitor is zeker een aanbevolen produkt.

This worked OK for a while, but eventually the power cord no longer worked. I definitely didn't get enough good hours out of it to warrant it failing like that. No idea where I could get a replacement power cord, but I'm sure it's pricier to replace than it should be.

I have had this monitor since 2020 and I have had no bugs, issues, or power problems. While it isn't the best for gaming since it's 60 Hz, the IPS colors mixed with the 4k are amazing. I would recommend any Samsung monitor product to anyone in the future.

Although it is 4K monitor, apparently there's no driver to enable 4K option when it is connected to a laptop usb-c via adapter (with HDMI port that does support 4K) and resolution is limited to 1920x1080.
