Galaxy Z Flip: Device Layout

Last Update date : Jun 30. 2021

Galaxy Z Flip's Infinity Flex Display is an immersive Dynamic AMOLED screen designed to deliver amazing colour quality and reduced blue light. With less bezels and notch, it's 6.7 inches of stunning cinematic viewing.*

*Measured diagonally, the screen size is 6.7" in a full rectangle and 6.5" accounting for the rounded corners. The actual viewable area is smaller due to the rounded corners and camera hole. Image simulated for illustrative purposes. Natural fold on main screen may be visible.

Charging the battery

It is recommended to charge your battery before using it for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods. Please ensure that you charge your device only with Samsung approved chargers and cables. Unapproved chargers and cabled could damage your device. Use only USB Type-C cable supplied with the device. The device may be damaged if you use Micro USB cable.

2 After fully charged, disconect the device from the wireless charger.

Installing the SIM card

Your Galaxy Z Flip includes an eSIM that functions as a SIM card. You can use the mobile network after activating the eSIM or installing a nano-SIM card. You can both activate the eSIM and install a nano-SIM card so you can have two phone numbers or service providers for a single device. In some areas, data transfer speeds may be slower if two SIM cards are inserted in the device than when one SIM card is inserted.

Steps to correctly insert the nano SIM card
1 Insert the ejection pin into the hole on the tray to loosen the tray.

Ensure that the ejection pin is perpendicular to the hole. Otherwise the device may be damaged.

2 Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot.
3 Place the nano-SIM card on the tray with the gold-coloured contacts facing downwards.
4 Gently press the SIM card into the tray to secure it.

If the card is not fixed into the tray, the SIM card may leave or fall out of the tray.

5 Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

If you insert the tray into the device while it is wet, your device may be damaged. Ensure you always insert the tray when its dry.

Correctly attaching the Cover

Follow these easy 4 steps to correctly attach the cover on your Galaxy Z Flip. If foregin objects come between the cover and device during use, wipe it down.

  • Ensure you do not apply excessive pressure when attaching or removing the cover. The cover may be damaged.
  • To avoid scratched on your device, be careful not to allow foreign objects to come in between the cover and the device while using the cover.
1 Remove the protective vinyl from your device.
2 Clean both the mounting surfaces of your device and the cover to remove foregin objects.
