I love the zflip 5. Firstly it's stylish and compact design, yet once unfolded there is a lot of usable screen space. Compared to the Zfold, it is light and easily holdable. The camera/video is great, I have been using it for tik tok videos, live and pre records. It has a fantastic battery, it's a stylish, smart workhorse and I love that.

Love the outer box and then inner box, the black colouring on the box shows quality, fits like a glove and you can feel the suction as you gradually open it - you even get that bit of tension as you await to see your new product. Just doing the usual power up and configuration then onto pretending to be on Star Trek and using the phone by far the best flip yest I had a flip 3 and this is so much faster ! and feels lighter to use I just watched a movie and barely touched the battery

It feels premium in the hand, the new hinge exudes quality and creates barely any screen crease, the screen is brilliant and the battery good enough for a day. The cameras are not class leading but the AI they are coupled with makes for excellent daytime results, usable night photography and intuitive, powerful editing. What this handset proves is the flip phone has matured. Samsung has done almost everything right here, and the new larger flex screen is no longer a gimmick, offering a perfect balance of unintrusive usability without having to open up the main screen. This is Samsung's best flip to date and in my opinion the best flip available without exception.

First impression I loved it , looked and felt so trendy. I love how it folds so I no longer have a bulky phone to carry around. It fits nicely in my pocket . My kids think I'm cool having a folding phone! Battery life is very good and camera and scren quality too has impressed me. I nust admit now Ive tried Samsung I'll never go back. The phone feels like good quality so should ladt the test of my kids . My teenage daughter has also used my phone and she loves it so much she wants me to upgrade hers to a flip 5 when her contracts up. Very impressed!

The same great flip form factor is great! So compact and makes me feel really nostalgic. Pair this with cutting edge features like a high res front facing camera and a huge screen on the cover that doubles as a selfie camera. The hinge feels super secure as well. Front screen is a bit of a finger print magnet, but nothing a micro fibre wouldn't take care of. Battery is about the same as previous models and works well with moderate usage for the whole day. Device is snappy and responsive with the most demanding tasks that I have thrown at it. So far this phone is well worth the price tag! Same great Samsung quality with all the best features of a cutting edge device.

The front screen is bigger and you can use it while the phone is flipped, take photos with the main camera, answer the phone and use the apps . You can add to the front screen any apps you like for a quicker use. The camera is amazing with so many features. The design of the phone is elegant, slim and light. I am very happy with my purchace. I've loved it when I've first seen the advert and I said to myself that I must have it. I have managed to buy it and... wow. This phone is unbelievable elegant, so thin and beautiful. As all Samsung phones, it's easy to use and the camera is great. I like it as I can use some features when folded. Just love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely skeptical about the curved screen and flip phones but trying out the flip 5... I am left speechless. It is an incredibly practical mobile phone, from the small screen on the top... which makes it easy to navigate through calls, text, alarms, WhatsApp, maps and even YouTube. To flipping it open and using it as your regular phone and being able to easily navigate through daily tasks. I love the feature where when taking a picture, you can view it and the opposite person can also see to be sure, it's the perfect angle. Selfies are phenomenally easier with the smaller screen and being able to keep it at places when folded. I can't emphasise enough, it is not bulky... easily fits in my pocket and very handy to go around. All in all it is great to have a refreshed and upgrade to the mobile phone industry... alongside getting the classic feature of opening to receive a call and flipping it close to end a call. :) I am an extremely satisfied customer.

Ticks all the boxes as a phone, Amoled screen is vivid and clear, decent processing speed and the battery lasts all day. The camera takes great photos even in low light levels and the fold design is great for video calls. The thing that has me sold though, is the cover screen. You can make calls, sends texts, watch YouTube and see notifications without opening the phone up. Can't lie, you are aware of the fold across the screen especially when scrolling but you soon get used to it and its not detrimental in any way. Overall very pleased with this phone.

The new expanded front screen is fantastic, and now has purpose rather than before it felt quite redundant to use. The minimal 256gb memory is a very welcome edition. the camera is great to use and i really enjoyed the Rapid burst mode. I feel Samsung have gone for a marginal gains approach on upgrades to this phone, and this has worked wonders this time around. overall this phone is great to use and i would highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opted for the phone in Graphite, as I prefer darker colours, and this did not disappoint. I love the colouring, it’s a dark grey as opposed to black, with metallic sides. The crease is not noticeable for me when I use the phone, you are always going to see it, but I don’t mind. It has a long battery life, and lasted me all day, when I used it regularly throughout, including taking lots of pictures and videos. I love the feature on the outer screen, the fact that I can have a quick look without having to open it up is great. I loved using the phone half open as a camera, this made it easier for me to film videos. I also really like that you can take a photo with the phone closed. I really love being able to pop this fold up phone in my pocket or a small handbag, it saves me so much space. My previous phone was too large for me keep in my pocket and weighed down my handbag. It comes with a charging wire, but no plug-in charger, so I purchased one myself. I also like that it can charge up with a pebble charger as it’s nice and compact in size. I’m not used to using an Android phone, but so far I’m loving the Galaxy ZFlip5, I think its great.

Positives - It is really compact, has extremely good build quality, a very clear outer screen a bright and beautiful main screen. The most important positive is it changes how you interact with your phone. To check messages and notifications etc you just use the small outer screen. This is a quick transaction and you are generally not tempted to spend hours needlessly scrolling through social media. You now generally only do this on the main screen when you choose to. This is the biggest change the phone brings. Onto the negatives which don’t stop me recommending the phone but to be aware of. The screen crease - it is noticeable. The cameras - they are ok. The camera experience is great with he flip screen but the quality is acceptable- not best in class. Also no zoom lens The battery life - if you use this heavily it will not last a day. However if you use the small screen mostly for generally phone pickup checks you will be happy. Not as good as other flagships So - I definitely recommend the phone but with some care points above

The new screen is rather a cool update to phone as we can open apps as do more without opening it. The phone has more storage and slight improvements in general. It's a bit difficult comparing with the flip 4 as it was already a great phone. I didn't notice a lot of improvement regarding battery life as I still couldn't get through a whole day without charging the flip 5. The camera is really cool and the fact that the exterior screen can be used is really helpful. I totally enjoyed it and would recommend it (I have been showing it to all my friends). I'm absolutely delighted with the samsung Flip4. I find it just perfect sizewise. I like big phones and the Flip is just great and has the amazing advantage of folding to fit anywhere. It has exceeded my expectations regarding screen and capacity, I'm really pleased with it. The only downfall for me was the battery, I expected it to last longer. The phone is so cool that I just can't put it down, but battery needs recharging more often that I would like. Other than that it's perfect. Definitely recommend.

When the flip is closed it fits snugly into your trousers pocket completely unnoticeable. The front screen gives good usability not perfect but enough to reply to messages, showing all notifications playing YouTube, Disney plus along with many others and has an amazing selection of customisation the only down side is that the keyboard isn't very big however I personally haven't had any issue using it.. Once opened you get everything you'd expect from the Samsung brand large screen. This phones fast and very efficient. One noticeable irritation is the crease in the middle of the screen but with use that becomes normal. The camera on both front and back give great picture quality again as you'd expect from such a great brand. The battery does seem to take a while to charge however once fully charged the phone lasts a lot longer than expected with a small built in battery. Over all from first impressions to last, this phone looks very sleek and stylish with amazing usability and features both closed and open I absolutely love the Samsung galaxy flip 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a long time lover of Samsung phones but was honestly on the fence about flip phones and felt they were probably just a bit gimmicky and not worth the hype. Pleased to say I was definitely wrong about that and have been really loving my new Z Flip5. It's a compact design, fitting into the smallest of handbags and pockets, but when flipped out has a screen larger than my old Samsung Galaxy S10. I'm really impressed with the colours and quality of the display. I'm also big into taking lots of photos and the cameras are impressive- I particularly like how well the main camera works in low light. It's taken a while to get the settings working how I'd like but I'm now really happy with being able to use the front screen, especially for WhatsApp messages on the go. If I had to give any downsides, I do use the battery up relatively quickly (although admittedly have been using it a lot these first few days!) and also the screens seem to keep my fingerprints on very easily so I am cleaning them off regularly. Overall, I'm very pleased with it and so many people have commented on it when I'm using it out and about! I'm glad I waited until now to get one as I think the Flip5 has everything I could want. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Up till now I have been solidly against Samsung phones, I've always found them so confusing and difficult to set up in the way I would like, etc. However after 10 days of using this phone I am seriously reconsidering my opinion, I am really liking the galaxy z4 flip, I love the little screen on the front and how customisable it is. I've heard in the past that the screens in smart flip phones cannot hold up to the usage however the fold is hardly noticeable and and it doesn't affect the sensitivity of the screen. The camera appears to be good Switching phones was nice and easy using the app. I love the flip 5 even more than the 4. The battery life is long lasting. The camera is even more of an upgrade than the 4, the photo quality is great. The bigger screen on the front of the flip is much better, so much more customisable and shows more information. The foldable screen is by far an improvement to the original flip smart phones. That being said I am nervous to fold it too often knowing the durability of flip smart screens Can never go wrong with the increase in storage with the flip 5. The build quality is sturdy. Overall I would 100% recommend both of the flip 4 and flip 5 but if you have the choice definitely go for the 5, it's truly a fantastic phone

All in all it’s a great little phone, your buying this phone for the flip capability, it hasn’t got the top end specs or the top end cameras like say the S23 Ultra but as I said you buy this phone for the flip function. It feels great in the hands and when you open and close the phone it’s just satisfying, personally I’d prefer a folding phone to show no crease on the screen but maybe this technology is still in its early stages. I love how small and compact it gets when folded shut and I live the small screen in the cover that you can interact with and have the time clock what ever you want it to be. Overall Samsung has done a very good job with this Flip4 and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the Flip5. Update - I’ve now got my new Galaxy Flip5 and what an upgrade it is, the new cover screen makes this phone even more usable and charming. I love the amount of customisation you can do with it and I love the new colours they bought out, I went with the blue back and it just looks so good. The screen brightness on the inside has also improved so it’s better for outside viewing, from being a good phone, this is now an excellent phone and well worth the upgrade, just for the cover screen alone. Well done Samsung

Its sleek flip design and lock display with custom notifications are fabulous. Performance-wise, it's lightning-fast, and the camera captures stunning shots. The user-friendliness and endless customisation options make it stand out. Making the switch was a revelation, and I'm in love with this innovative phone that exceeds expectations! UPDATE: I have used both the Galaxy Flip4 and 5, now for over two weeks, and I can say that they both are amazing phones. They have beautiful design, plenty of storage, and gorgeous screen. They also excel at taking and editing photos. One of my favourite features is the document scan option, which lets me convert any paper document into a word file. These phones are so stunning that my colleagues love them, and I often get compliments from strangers when I use them to pay in shops. They are curious to see how they fold and unfold. The only difference between the two models is that the Flip 5 has a seamless hinge, while the Flip 4 has a small gap when folded. This makes the Flip 5 more elegant and compact. The only thing I wish for these phones is a longer battery life, but they both charge super fast, under two hours from zero to full. This means I can always rely on them. They are truly the best phones I have ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a lover of Samsung phones, and I am finally upgrading from the S21 (which I loved) to the Samsung Z Flip5.  What can I say?  Well, I am lost for words, I am amazed, and I am in love simultaneously. The phone is slick, it’s beautiful and I’ve read lot’s of mention of the previous Flips having a gap and I am so glad this phone has zero gap, compact and streamlined.   Moving onto the big switch on, smart switch made this really easy and fast to get set up on the new phone. The new larger screen is wonderful, and I like that even with the phone shut I can send a message, answer calls, respond to emails, check notifications, and even check the weather if I wanted to. The quality of images is much improved with its 12MP rear cameras (yes, it has two) and it also has a 10MP front camera perfect for selfies. Take full advantage of the FlexCam allowing you to take group photos with ease.    I’ve heard its durable and versatile design can take any drops, bumps, and spills and with children I’m sure you’d all agree this is an added bonus however I’m not going to try it just yet.   The battery life for me in comparison to my previous phone is much better, so win-win! It took about 30 minutes to give an additional 50% charge which is super-fast.   If you want out of the world innovation, then I totally recommend this phone and I look forward to continuing to explore the Samsung Z Flip5.

So easy to put in your pocket or coat and not worry about it. What's less in size, does not mean less in gadgets, this device has it all, great camera, sound and charging capabilities. Camera very easy to use and has several tools that can make taking pics easier. The flip of the phone makes it so much easier to travel about with and brings back memories of phones I had years ago but with exceptional quality. All together a great product. Flip 5 I got this phone as a replacement for the Flip 4. On first glance, I was not too sure of the colour or if I would get used to this lay out of phone, but I needn’t have been worried. The phone is very lightweight, and looks stunning. Very easy to operate. I really liked that when I first switched the phone on, it gave you an option of a QR code, making it so much easier to transfer data from your old phone to the new, it also has an upgrade so you can use an Esim If you like. The camera takes stunning pictures, and I really like the much larger second screen, it means you don’t have to open it every single time to see what your message is all about. Very quick to charge. Overall I think Samsung have blown away the competition with this new model, amazing device that I am sure I will love for years to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before switching to the Samsung Flip 5, I had been using the Flip 3, so will be mostly making comparisons to that phone. Form factor - The Flip3 attracted me due to its new pocket size form factor, and the Flip5 continues the evolution with an improved hinge and flat fold. This makes the phone even more neat looking. I'm hoping the Flip 5 improves on the durability of the screen hinge -the indications are that it has been greatly improved. The phone is really slick so I recommend a case with the ringlet at the back to keep a good grip- this serves me well when on a run with the phone tracking my pace. Functions - the split screen function (flex mode) comes in useful when needing to copy & paste items from one app to another, or watching a video whilst responding to a message. My favourite improvement on the Flip 5 is the outer screen - taking family selfies with the highest quality camera and being able to preview who's in shot is much easier. The outer screen also can run most apps in a smaller size, then flip open to resume in full screen mode,. Setup - The Samsung smart switch works like a dream now- within an hour I had transferred all my data from Flip3 to Flip5 wirelessly and was ready to go. Summary - As this is my 2nd Flip I'm already convinced by the Flip's form factor, but I think the Flip 5 will be a great introduction to Flip phones for anyone starting out. Highly recommended - Join the Flip side!!

The standout feature, undoubtedly, is the expanded front display that allows me to enjoy Netflix content, even on its small yet surprisingly viewable screen. Although I appreciate the larger display, I'm not entirely enthusiastic about answering calls on loudspeaker when the phone is closed. This functionality can be convenient but also occasionally awkward depending on the context. The device's compact design is both stylish and functional. The fast charging capability is praiseworthy, although I've observed a need for double charging on busier days. In comparison to the Flip 4, the Flip 5's crease when open is significantly less noticeable. While it might be discernible under specific lighting conditions, it doesn't hinder the movie-watching experience. The enlarged front display designed for selfies is a definite hit with my family. The phone's comfortable grip and usability, combined with the flip feature that transforms it into a mini laptop for certain apps, enhance its versatility. The hinge's ability to let the phone fold completely flat addresses a major flaw of the previous model, bringing a sense of refinement and functionality. All things considered, my satisfaction with the Flip 5 is resounding. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing the Flip5, it's clear Samsung have done a great job in further evolving their novel flip phone concept and the Flip5 feels just as premium and sturdy as the 4, if not more so. This time around Samsung probided an impressive range of colours again opting for a blend of matte glass and metal that matches it's predecessor and blows the competition out the water. I really like that on the 5, the phone's nee hinge mechanism allows it to fold completely shut without a 'gap', which makes it feel much safer to carry around in a pocket. Elsewhere Samsung have increased the minimum storage from 128gb to a longer lasting 256gb for the base model. This has been coupled with a cutting edge Snapdragon processor that together ensure the device covers any and all media needs despite its compact size. The new front display is a big step up, making it much easier to engage with apps such as messages, clock, camera and calendar to name just a few of the many many that are compatible. This outside display is sufficient for about a third of instances when you would otherwise need to unflip the device, such as pausing/playing music, selecting new songs and taking selfies. While it does take away from some of the previously mentioned benefits to device durability, it's a worthwhile trade off for such a helpful addition. With the improvements to battery longevity, something i was sorely needing on the Flip 4, i can say I'm very pleased to have upgraded even if this is 'evolution' not 'revolution'.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my flip 4 for a week and have really enjoyed it, the small form factor is a big advantage for me because I don’t normally use bags and everything I carry needs to fit in my pockets. I love how it transforms from a small phone into a traditional large screen making it easy to use. I found the hinge mechanism great for making video calls, taking photos and watching content as I don’t have to hold it in my hand or use a stand. I love the matte finish as it doesn’t show fingerprints making my OCD relax lol, the build quality is great and the crease in the screen doesn’t show when using the inner display. I do wish the outer screen was bigger so I don’t have to open the flip to see more information, at least I can do the basics I guess. Battery life is excellent making sure it lasts all day and I just charge overnight, cameras and much better than I expected so give me excellent results although it could do with a slight improvement at night. I am very impressed with the flip 4 and could definitely use this phone everyday plus it has that wow factor when out in the evening with people asking me what is it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a phone with a difference. Now I have traded my Z flip4 in for the Z flip5 it’s a massive improvement , the outer screen is much bigger and more usable compared with the flip4. The glass back is glossy now not matte and it folds completely closed instead of a wedge because of the new hinge . The cameras have improved too and the new chipset makes it a faster phone to use. Definitely buy the Z flip5 if you are over a foldable phone that still folds small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Lavender finish Galaxy ZFlip5 as it looked such a great colour online, upon opening the box I was blown away by the look of the phone, the colour was just as I'd hoped and the Rose gold accents on the frame along with the glass back gives it a very premium feel. Inside the packaging is very minimal, just the phone, a USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool and some documentation. A Charger would have been nice with such an expensive handset as this but i suppose this is done for ecological reasons as much as cost. Thankfully the phone came with 70% charge so it had plenty of charge for me to start playing :-). Using the excellent Samsung smartswitch application I easily copied all the data over from my old Android phone (nice that you can use this software with any phone, even Non Android). Once I started using the phone I knew I wouldn't be going back to my old handset, I love the size, the look the ease of use. Its fast and the screens are so vivid. Talking of screens one of its best features is the cover screen, you can do so much on the cover screen with both apps and widgets that half the time you don't even need to open the phone, this is really useful as the phone is such a talking point that whenever people see it they want to look at it and touch it, its definitely a phone for people who like to get attention. I haven't used the cameras too much yet as it's early days but the shots I have taken so far are really good, crisp, bright and sharp. The battery has been lasting me a couple of days but using wireless and fast charging ensures this isn't really an issue. Some people have commented on the fold in the screen but honestly after a few days using the phone you don't even notice its there. No going back to boring slab phones that all look a like for me, my ZFlip5 is staying with me.

Samsung has brought back a 2000s design and made a great phone that is also a lot of fun to use. Design wise it's a fantastic and pocketable size that's lite, robust and does everything a modern day smartphone does. Super smooth, bright vibrant screen. Check. Performance and battery to get through a good day's usage. Check. Great cameras.... hmm maybe not. Don't get be wrong, the cameras are adequate and take some decent pics. But, in what feels like a cool piece of Tech, OK cameras are a little disappointing. Using the phone is a lot of fun. That satisfying flip and click and opening the phone just feels great. The software is getting better with every flip generation with more useful duel screen features. The outside mini screen is becoming more useful for notifications and other features. Folding the phone to take some great selfies when on holidays has been really handy and do help compensate for the ho hum cameras themselves. I haven't had this much fun with a phone in a long time. Samsung have mostly knocked it out of the park with the Flip 4 and I for one can't wait to see what they have lined up for us next UPDATE: Flip 5 Review OK so take all of the above and knock it up a couple of notches and you have a fantastic upgrade with the Flip 5. Highlights Front screen - Bigger is really better. Fantastic upgrade with some handy widgets to keep on top of my day without opening the phone. Great improvement but I would still like to see more widget options! Performance: Speedier and better with battery life. This phone flies! Super quick and although still early days, the battery life seems to be better Build: Really noticing a much higher build quality. Everything feels more premium, the fold is flat and better squared away with an improved hinge. And that crease is less pronounced than before.

I thought I'd give the flip phones a go as they're not 'first gen' so hopefully any bugs would have mostly been ironed out. I decided to go for the Flip4, the fold I think is a bot too big for me, The folding screen is pretty cool. I was worried the dip in the middle would distract from watching videos but its mot too bad. You can't really tell the crease is there most of the time, it is a little noticeable in brighter scenes. You definitely notice it's there whilst doom scrolling through insta or facebook but it doesn't get in the way. You do need two hands to open it though which is a pain. I like the front screen, I wish we got more from it though. You can only use certain widgets from a list. I would have preferred to have been able to access my entire app list from the front screen, it saves having to open and close the phone too many times. A bigger screen with full phone access would have been nice. The 'flippability' comes in handy when taking photos, you can bend it slightly, put it on its side and take photos. The front screen is small but its good quality, taking selfies is soooo much easier with the main cameras. Photos are nice with good vibrant colours, night photos are good as well, I would say slightly better than my Note 10 and my Note 10 did nice night time photos. All in all a pretty good phone. *UPDATE* Just upgraded to the Flip5. I would say the Flip5 has some good improvements over the Flip4. The normal screen seems very similar but... The front cover screen is huge. You can see messages better and look through the widgets with ease. You can add apps to the front screen to but it's a bit of a faff to get it on there. It would be nice all if the apps were automatically usable. The front screen has come in handy for selfies and especially handy for group shots. Just fold the phone to 90 degrees and turn the front screen on in the camera.

Things I enjoy most: *the flip is easy to control, not too snappy *the small screen on the front is brilliant, you can do so much without even opening the phone, such as check weather, skip a song, read messages *it looks really cool and gets a lot of attention! *when on video calls I can bend the phone at a 90 degree angle instead of trying to prop the phone up, all for it to fall halfway through your call *the processing system is very fast and smooth *the camera is very good and easy to use. Things that aren't so great: *the battery life - I have to charge it at least once a day for medium use. This is where I took a star away. I would really hope for better battery life on future designs. *it's not very retro - I was hoping for a 90s throwback with the flip design, but it's a lot more modern (not a terrible thing but if you were looking for that...) *the box only comes with a USB C-C cable, and no compatible plug! again no biggie as I have other compatible cables, but will have to buy a suitable plug. Now my opinion on the Flip 5! All of the above positives, PLUS! *battery life is improved! *can reply to messages/whatsapp etc from the front screen and answer calls! *better selfies from the front screen! My only negative is the design, comparing to the Flip 4, it feels much more grown-up and serious! I was hoping Samsung would keep that 'fun' element going. The colour I picked was yellow, but when I have the case on you can't tell as it's only one coloured square which gets completely covered. Unless you get a see-through case, but they don't feel as sturdy. The 4 carried the colour all the way around, across the hinge etc, but this one is just black. Very boring! Why is it not yellow! Plus, the fold in the centre of the big screen seems to be the same as the 4, ie not improved - I'm not sure how they would do that, but it's the same. I am used to it now but that is what people ask when they see it! All being said, this is an excellent phone and I absolutely love it. Upgraded to 5 stars!

The flex mode offers limitless ​multitasking possibilities that I find particularly impressive. It allows me to effortlessly perform tasks like taking ​notes while simultaneously watching a ​video, or browsing the internet while being engaged in a Zoom call. The flexibility and convenience provided by this feature are truly remarkable. In terms of portability the Z flip5 is incredibly compact. It easily fits into my pocket or bag, allowing me to take it wherever I go. While the Z flip5 offers exceptional features, it's important to mention a minor drawback. In dark mode, there is a slight visibility of the fold line on the screen. However, I've noticed that this is less noticeable in light mode. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've really enjoyed my time with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Aesthetically it stands head and shoulders above anything else. The front screen apps all accessed with ease via its touch-screen execution. Flipping the phone open presents a tall and slim phone with a sharp screen. The hinge is minimally visible. The fingerprint unlocking is exceptionably responsive. Being a flip phone brings a number of fun features, like the ability to situate your phone semi-open, resting on a desk - this comes nicely into play if on a video call, where you can place your phone on a table, using the phone as its own stand. I've found one standout application of the semi-folded state of the phone is in recording videos. The camera performs very well indoors, offering a range of post editing option. The phone packs a heap of features which may seem overwhelming at first, but Samsung provide heaps of hints and tips all built in to the phone. This really is a delightful phone to use, in most areas. Overall, a highly enjoyable phone, both fun and very convenient. **UPDATE - UPGRADE TO FLIP 5** Having made the upgrade to the Flip 5, I was instantly impressed with the array of colour offerings. I sent back my rose gold / pink Flip 4 and changed for a beautiful green Flip 5. The new cover screens increase in size is incredibly beautiful to look at. With some tinkering it has a whole heap of functionality, including the full use of some apps. One noticeable difference away from the cover screen on the Flip 5 is that when shut the two sides of the phone sit flush whereas the Flip 4 sat with a noticeable gap. This helps to stop any pocket lint or dust from getting between the screens when folded. Software-wise, I was a huge fan of the photography software onboard the Flip 4, with it taking some of the very best portrait shots I've ever seen on a mobile phone, in fact far more impressive than some other manufacturer flagship phones. This is true of the Flip 5 too - which although not seeing any upgrades in the camera hardware has seen a slight overhaul in the software department. I took the Flip 5 on a family holiday along with a flagship and used the Flip 5 far more and got far better end results with it. I now have to say that whilst the Flip 5 doesnt pack the best hardware stats on the market, the internals and how it performs has pushed the phone to becoming my first choice mobile phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The screen is remarkable. Its such a strange thing to experience the flip phone. I was initially sceptical about this phone due to hearing negative issues from friends regarding the centre fold of the phone. I had heard that it would crack instantly, it wouldn't work at the fold and wouldn't respond to my touch and that the screen would go white over time. Now with testing, I know that at least 2 out of 3 are false. The fold does respond to touch, and it hasn't cracked. I can't test the whiteness yet. I really enjoy the bigger screen and the picture quality is great to watch shows. The fold doesn't compromise the image and it essentially disappeared. The camera is better quality than my older phone. They have managed to reduce glare through light sources as default and this can be further reduced by playing with the settings. There is a slight delay when the light is low which could affect the final outcome to the image. The final images are incredible however. One feature I've enjoyed is the ability to zoom in on videos! I couldn't do that before. It does lower the quality of the image but since you can only do it while viewing the video, it isn't that big of a deal. I quite like the range of designs available. Not only is there more colours to pick from as standard, but you can also choose from a 3 colour pallete. They have set colour palletes to choose from, I believe there was around 5 to pick from or you can choose your own colours for a more personalised look. I enjoy being able to choose more colours as I enjoy a certain aesthetic which isn't mainstream. When the phone is closed, the screen near the cameras responds to touch. You are able to access notifications and customise your widgets go your preference which is so helpful! I was able to access the weather, my music app, alarms, start recording my videos although you need to open the phone once started and the calender. I was then able to add steps and my schedule. It was very handy to have these available without having to open the phone. The size of the phone when folded fits perfectly in my hand and isn't too wide. Opening the phone does feel stiff but I'm guessing that will get easier the more I use it. This is my update as I upgraded to the Flip5 phone. As first impressions go, it's not much different from the Flip 4. The main difference is the screen on the front, and honestly it does change things, especially if you're recording.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Edited; having used the Flip 4 and 5.: Both the Z Flip4 and 5 are great bits of kit. The Flip4 I chose was rose gold, and it was a shame they didn't offer it on the 5. The new colours offered seem more drab, except the yellow, which is not a colour I am keen on. Setup was incredibly easy, as I just used the Samsung Smart Switch app. Very obviously, their main feature is that they fold, so I can fit them in my pockets! They have the added benefit of being easier to hold for my small hands, so I'm less likely to drop it, and even if I do, there's less chance of breaking the main screen. Although, there is now more chance of breaking the cover screen on the Flip5. I bought a case for this very reason. Speaking of, the main AMOLED screen is a good size and boasts a good resolution, brightness and clarity. Bonus points for being able to set manually or use the automatic brightness and temperature. There is a crease down the middle, but to be honest, I barely noticed it after a couple of days and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the crease did not affect selection – if I pressed there, it would register normally, like when selecting a tile on a match three game. To note: the Flip 5 has no gap when folded, whereas the 4 did, so it's nice that the 5 can shut cleanly. Taking videos and photos was easy enough as using the interface was pretty straight forward, and has advanced options too. I didn't really notice much difference in the camera quality, even in low light situations. I like the fingerprint reader on the side, although sometimes when carrying the phone open, I accidental press it and lock it out for five failed attempts. The biometrics is really handy as a lot of apps will let you use it to log in instead of entering a password. The Flip 5 has one obvious advantage - the larger cover screen. This is exponentially more helpful than the it's smaller predecessor, especially with apps like the calendar. I don't have to open the phone as often for brief tasks. Another handy feature is that you can use the NFC for Google Pay etc. with the phone closed and just pressing the unlock button. The volume buttons still work when the phone is closed, and are in the same orientation – the top button is volume up, the bottom button is volume down – although they are physically mapped opposite. The battery life is just over 9 hours on the Flip4, and a little more on the 5. From dead to 100% took about 2 hours for both.

After my first few days I must say I'm not disappointed by it. The zero gap hinge is great and I got for the Starter pack that includes a great clear case and fast charger, as well as the official cover screen protector, both which I highly recommend. I wasn't sure if the crease would be an issue for me, or how I would use the cover screen exactly, but I was intrigued to find out. Unfolded it is just like any other top tier slab phone, and while I do notice the dip in the middle, I've gotten used to it being there and I don't notice it when watching something full screen which is great. When folded either slightly or all the way, however, that things get quite interesting. The Flex feature for some apps turn the bottom half into a touchpad, which can do two finger scrolling, and a mouse pointer appears in the top half. This made it easier to use the phone when lying down in bed for instance. You can activate this for other apps not optimised for it if you wish too. When fully folded, a few widgets can be accessed via the cover screen, and taking selfies, checking the weather, messages and replying were very convenient in this mode with my medium sized hands and fingers. I loved the customisation you can do for the cover lock screen. Once I installed a third party app from the Samsung App store and enabled a cover screen feature, also recommended in various online reviews, I could use a lot more apps for music, contactless payments, ordering taxis, among other messaging, fitness and media apps. I definitely recommend doing that. With my medium use of the phone, the battery gets me through the whole day and then some, and the fast charger gets from 5% to 100% after 1hr 20min which was very quick. Fast charging does heat up the phone a bit and for better battery longevity I'd rather charge it up with a slower charger routinely. The battery settings interestingly had a setting to only charge to 85% for battery longevity which I need to read into more as I thought not charging to 100% would be worse for battery memory. Anyway, overall I love this phone and would fully recommend it if you can stomach the price or get a good deal on it then go for it. You'll enjoy using your phone in new ways and being able to fit it into smaller pockets is so much more convenient (despite making it a bit thicker this is definitely a great form factor!).

It's cool to get hands-on with these phones and see what they're all about. One thing that caught my eye is the storage upgrade in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 – it's going from 128GB to 256GB. More room for apps and files is always a plus. The new Flex Hinge in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 shows that Samsung's on the ball. They've fixed the gap issue from the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is awesome to see. It's like they're actively improving things. I've also noticed that the Galaxy Z Flip 5's display seems brighter than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This could make a real difference, especially when you're using the phone in different lighting. Once I opened the case and held it in my hands, I felt really positive about the whole phone. First of all it is a solid phone and feels quite full in the hands.The metallic case feels quite sturdy. The flipping of the phone is effortless and doesn't make any noise and looks quite clean and neat. The screen doesn't show much signs off folding and the display is clearcut. It goes into my pocket really well. It has a massive 256GB in it's base version which is more than enough for all my personal and work apps and hopefully not have to worry about storing pics in another app. The screen is very clear and the display colours are fantastic as always with other Galaxy phones. I particularly liked the display of the mini outer screen and the functionality of it. I think I will be using the outer screen mostly during my busy time as we can choose which apps to go there and get a reasonable functionality from them. I started using maps on it and it works effortlessly.The main screen looks a bit elongated when switched off but not much when things are in display. One important thing I liked from Samsung is it comes installed with a screen protector.. what a nice thought from Samsung.. hats off... The phone also seems to have one of the best processor out there and have excellent multifunctionality with not heating up. I could download a big app while simultaneously playing a high quality video on what's app with not much effort. The battery although is small compared to some of the recent china manufactured phones but it lasted a whole 36 hrs with moderate use and a full day with heavy use taking videos and making at least 4 hrs of video conferencing calls. The software seems quite intuitive with good interface and I could transfer all my data from iOS very easily at the time of setup. The apps open and close effortlessly . The camera slot doesn't take up half of the back like recent phones and looks aesthetically very neat. It has 2 circles for cameras and the best thing I felt is it's easy to take pics with the smaller screen and it looks very clear. The pics are of good quality.There is also an optical zoom which works well. To summarise,I felt very happy to get this excellent phone and am looking forward to use its functionality more.. It also comes with a good 3 year warranty So,I dont need to worry about a new phone soon..!

Z-Flip 4: Let's get the 1st impression out of the way.. the z flip 4 is already an established foldable phone, and even though I have seen it around, it still has that stylish wow factor to it. Foldable phones have initially been appealing to a niche group, many due to their high price, but with high price, you do get a high-end product. So that niche has grown and now appeals to a very large group of people. The small, compacted look when it's folded is what I feel is its best feature. Along with the retro feel to the satisfying, easy to use one-handed open and close flip mechanism, this phone is definitely stylish and eye-catching. The phone is light, fits in most small pockets. The display is gorgeous and seems much more durable than its predecessors. The battery life is better than I thought it would be. Following a full charge, it's lasting me all day with heavy usage. The front screen and camera are also very good with clear and bright pictures. Having a front screen is a necessity, although I do wish they had made it bigger. Still amusing with its ambient screen saver. I do hope they improve on completely closing the gap when the phone is folded as I worry with the accumulation of pocket fluff and overall dust going in. Z Flip 5: Having played with both phones, I find there is a definite step forward and most importantly, feels like a proper upgrade rather than an improvement alone. The bigger, improved 3.4-inch cover screen or FLEX WINDOW on the Flip 5 now makes it possible to message and respond easily. Its great for glancing at the weather or even my daily schedule (with a full view of my calendar without needing to open the phone. And as you would expect it has Multiple widgets are available to make it your own. Its definitely more attractive and top of its class without a doubt. The small 3,700mAh battery, felt like a step backwards. With the AOD enabled, I was able to get through a full day of heavy use which is still more than what I need but would worry if my day extends to a night out. However with average use, I think it is more than sufficient. Finally the phone CLOSES FLAT!! The aluminum rails looks nice and feels sturdy. The camera is similar to its predecessor and I do feel they could use a bit of an upgrade, but that is true to all flip phones. If you’re considering jumping from a traditional slab-style phone to a flip phone, the Z Flip 5 is a great entry point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had an android phone since the Galaxy s4 Active, the flip 5 was the first phone to make me want to move back and whilst it was a pain to move away from my current device, it was seamless using Samsung's transfer app, pulled all my photos and contacts and everything i needed and was very quick. I use G-suite for work so this has been perfect, the integration is fantastic. I have kinda got over the novelty of the flip aspect of the phone now, although slamming the phone shut to end a call is still fun! reminds me of my days back in school when i had my Samsung e720. Which also has a front screen and camera. I think the best aspect is how much less space it takes up when folded, I tend to use the front screen for replying to all my messages and even scrolling socials. This may have helped contribute to the stella battery life i am seeing from this phone. I think it is a fantastic bit of kit and am looking forwards to testing more of its features.

The implementation of the full cover screen is the stand out feature on this flagship phone. It's now a very useable screen for quickly checking messages and even replying to them without a cramped keyboard. Need to quickly check your calendar, no problem. Head on over to YouTube to watch the latest upload, it's right there on the cover screen. Brilliant! The selfie camera on the cover screen is amazing too. It provides a nice wide angle for group selfies and the quality is simply amazing. Speaking of cameras the main camera performs extremely well in low lighting with the resulting images popping with colour and vibrance with little to no noise. I really like the way that if you're using an app on the cover screen and decide you need more screen real estate that simply un flipping the phone that app is on the main screen ready to use without the need to unlock the phone again. Screen (cover and main) response time is slick and scrolling apps and websites is buttery smooth. It's highly pocketable size, speed and form make this a must have phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never been really sold on the idea of the flip phones especially with the teething issues of the earlier models. However, this one has really changed my perceptions!! The fold itself is seamless and the phone is much lighter and more portable than previous models. This means that it fits in my pocket nicely and doesnt have a huge profile which was an issue with previous models. Also, I do like how much better they've made us of the fold of the phone, from the widgets to the display and makes the fold really feel like a feature in itself as opposed to a gimmick. Inside, the spec is usual samsung quality with excellent graphics and the performance is also as expected. However, I do wish that the camera was improved. Battery life is ok but nothing to write home about, however, it is enough for a typical days usage of normal apps and activities. Overally, I'm really impressed with the offering from Samsung this year, with many of the older issues and bugs ironed out. The phone has been made more streamlined and the screen size has really been maximised, with the processor and overall user journey improved. The only quibble I have is that the fold is still a little prominent, and the camera can be improved.

Within minutes of using it I fell in love with it! The outer screen is incredibly useful for quickly reading notifications, controlling my music, checking weather and calender. I like that you can personalise the screen and the order of the apps. The hinge moves very smoothly and I like that the phone closes fully and there's no gap. I was worried I'd notice the crease on the screen but after a while I stopped noticing it, it's only in certain light that you can see it. When you scroll you can sometimes feel it but overall I forget about it during every day use. When using apps the phone is very quick and when closing or changing apps the movement is very seamless, there's no lag whatsoever, everything just works very quickly which is perfect. The quality of both cameras is great and I like being able to quickly take a picture without having to open the phone. When video calling I was able to sit my phone at a 90 degree angle and be hands free when talking to someone. Overall I'm incredibly impressed by all the features of this phone and I'm yet to find a negative so far and would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having changed from a different brand phone I was nervous about changing systems as I like to stick to what I know. I've been pleasantly surprised by the adaptability of the Samsung flip. I've managed to customise the system to rearrange the buttons to what I'm used to, and the details on both the inside and outside screens can be moved around. As someone who takes a lot of photos it's great to have such a good amount of storage as well. I really like the colour of the phone, I chose mint and it looks great. I've still got to get used to be able to use the outside camera with the phone closed, there's been a few unflattering photos! Being able to fold the phone saves me propping it up for group photos and I can watch videos without a stand. The fold is still noticeable sometimes when scrolling but this is expected and I think in more time I'll just get used to it, I thought it would effect me more than it has as I'm quite sensitive to these details. Watching videos the screen is great quality and I don't notice the fold. So far I'm happy with the flip 5, I'm still learning the new features and adapting to a new system but the battery is doing well as I'm using it constantly throughout the day and when not in use it doesn't drain like my old phone did. It's drawn a fair bit of attention at work as everyone is interested in the phone that folds!

On daily driving the phone for even a short while, I very quickly noticed how satisfying and beneficial it was to be able to close the phone and put it down....DONE. I use social media apps for work on an hourly basis and the ability to shut it all off with one movement was surprisingly healthy, especially in todays modern world of needing to be constantly connected to everything and everyone all the time. Samsung have consistently improved the build quality, and leading tech breakthroughs for quite a while now, especially with their folding OLED screen technology, which leads me onto the part EVERYBODY has been asking about on my socials, the folding screen. It is clear, bright, and super responsive (as expected from an OLED panel) and when the panel is on and in use, the only hint of the physical fold is when you swipe up the screen and feel it, and when the screen is off and unfolded you can see the "crease" but i am guessing with prolonged use over the coming months that would practically be unnoticeable. The flex display on the front is also very handy and easy to reply to messages without fully opening your phone and also for using the amazing front facing main cameras for super high quality selfies. Another cool feature is using the flip at 90 degrees in camera mode for extra functionality like a tiny laptop haha

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Z Flip 4, the Z Flip 5, is hardly worthy of a new version number. Three changes between the two devices. Hinge Outside screen Processor. Hinge. The hinge lets the phone finally fold flat. Something not revolutionary, but it fixes the biggest flaw the previous models had. The hinge now feels less stiff but allows the phone to unfold flat too. Processor. A generation bump in processor. Have I noticed any difference? No, you still rely on Samsung's oneUI gumph on top of android and all the extra apps that you'll likely never even open. Outside screen. The only upgrade that makes this make sense. The Phone is a bit more usable when actually folded. Whereas the flip 4 I barely even glanced at the screen and only activated it for time or when using the main camera for selfies. Unfortunately everything else is the same and I wasn't overly impressed with the cameras, OneUI or the thickness of the device last time and this upgrade did nothing with all these things at all. Overall I wanted a foldable that can last the year without other devices making this one feel out of date, thick, and usable in both modes. This fold 5 doesn't fit the bill for me especially when you think 95% of the entire device is recycled from flip 4 and flip 3 even. I still can't see too much use for the front screen other than an easier selfie experience and replies to messages. I won't be using the device folded very much but I do like flipping it open to use.

The Samsung 5 Flip phone unlocked 5G is my first experience with a Flip phone for me so have not got any comparisons to compare with but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt what I have experienced so far has certainly met my expectations. 512GB Storage and comes with a 3 year Manufacturer Warranty Androids 13.0 operating system, I choose the colour Mint. Great for taking selfies without when needing to open the phone also with a samsung6 watch you can even capture zoomed in selfies, 3.4in screen in flip and 6.7in opened. The flex hinge is barely noticeable but I’m a bit self conscious of overusing as never used a flip phone before, so I’m glad you are able to add your most used widgets to the front so to make the most of the front screen, the picture quality is very good I’ve watched a couple of films to test this and was very impressed. The battery isn’t lasting as long as expected but it could be where it’s new and I’m getting to know how it works, but it charges quickly so not an issue. Definitely need to get a protective cover which was a bit disappointing on ordering you were not allowed to add the free Samsung case to order so have to incur an unnecessary cost to purchase, also heavier than I expected it to be but love the way I can just slip it into my pocket. Only comes with the phone charging lead a warranty and quick guide leaflet and a sim opener tool so would need to get a compatible Samsung plug but also charges wireless. So far I like what I’ve seen and look forward to learning my way around the flip5 I’ve been watching a lot of you tube videos as it’s the first time I’ve used am android phone at least 10years. The Samsung 5 Flip phone unlocked 5G is my first experience with a Flip phone for me so have not got any comparisons to compare with but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt what I have experienced so far has certainly met my expectations. 512GB Storage and comes with a 3 year Manufacturer Warranty Androids 13.0 operating system, I choose the colour Mint. Great for taking selfies without when needing to open the phone also with a samsung6 watch you can even capture zoomed in selfies, 3.4in screen in flip and 6.7in opened. The flex hinge is barely noticeable but I’m a bit self conscious of overusing as never used a flip phone before, so I’m glad you are able to add your most used widgets to the front so to make the most of the front screen, the picture quality is very good I’ve watched a couple of films to test this and was very impressed. The battery isn’t lasting as long as expected but it could be where it’s new and I’m getting to know how it works, but it charges quickly so not an issue. Definitely need to get a protective cover which was a bit disappointing on ordering you were not allowed to add the free Samsung case to order so have to incur an unnecessary cost to purchase, also heavier than I expected it to be but love the way I can just slip it into my pocket. Only comes with the phone charging lead a warranty and quick guide leaflet and a sim opener tool so would need to get a compatible Samsung plug but also charges wireless. So far I like what I’ve seen and look forward to learning my way around the flip5 I’ve been watching a lot of you tube videos as it’s the first time I’ve used am android phone at least 10years.

Only to find out that because the back glass was broken it would not cover the screen any longer. The worst part is you can see the impact point on the glass where my partner dropped something on to the phone after 2 months of owning it. Now Just A paper weight. Beautiful Phone if you want something just to play with at the weekends, However can not handle every day life !!!

Very disappointed with my z5 flip I have had the phone for about 14 months the battery life is not good I have to charge it every day I make sure that there is nothing running in the background to drain the battery, I have charged it as per your instructions yesterday I fully charged the phone I didn't use it for about 4 hours when I did the battery had dropped to 68% very disappointed with my phone. Sadly you don't make the galaxy Note any more I had 4 of them and they were one of the best phones you made in my opinion, not sure I will be buying another Samsung phone, I have been a Samsung customer for many years

Great little phone until the screen failed at the fold in the middle. Made a cracking noise and the screen went unreadable and no touch function. Still in warranty, but due to a tiny mark/scuff ,samsung will not repair. So repair is more than the phone is now worth!. Can't even trade it in as it needs to be factory reset which is not now possible. So basically throw away. Thanks for that samsung. Any small marks or scuffs/impressions invalidate all warranty i am told.

Flip is addictive I must say and a girls new best friend! Easy to fit even in the jeans front pocket, evening and events small purse, in a running belt, fits just fabulously. As a owner of the first model of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and than Galaxy Z Flip 3, I must say that the new Flip 5 really comes up with some easy to observe upgrades. Firstly, the amazing cover screen that allows you do pretty much everything on the go, than the sleek improved look with no gap due to the upgrade on hinge, amazing storage up to 512GB, increased water resistance and long waited dual sim functionality. In my oppinisn, this is the closest to perfection phone ever. Only coming possible upgrades I could see would be the camera design and properties. So far, I just love it!

Firstly, the materials that make up the phone (metal frame, glass, and a very sturdy hinge) are of undoubtedly high quality. Specifically, the hinge and crease are a big improvement from the Flip 4. Also, in comparison to the Flip 4, the cover screen is larger in the Flip 5, making it a lot more enjoyable and user friendly. Furthermore, the camera feature is better than I expected from a flagship phone and the selfie setup is second to none. The mere fact that it fits into my purse is very handy and attractive. Thanks to the new chipset, you get a bump in battery performance. The battery may not be the greatest for heavy power users, but for me, it gets me through my day of average use with 50% or more remaining. While it could always be better, personally I am happy with the battery life. Overall, the phone is very promising and a definite compliment getter.

I was unfortunate enough to lose the screen on my original Z5. I was even more unfortunate to have to deal with EE to get a replacement. I had to return the broken phone when I received the new one. So at this moment in time I've lost all my pictures going back years, a lot of contacts including work ones as I'm self employed, whatsapp has gone and I have to wait until I see my 11 year old Daughter who will try and restore this information but I've no idea how? So right now I'm not enjoying my phone or anything else because of the complete lack of support or customer care from EE.

I have had two of these phones and each time after 6 months the screen protector fails, Samsung only cover replacement once now as this defect is a regular occurrence. If you replace the inner screen protector yourself then it invalidates the warranty. DO NOT BUY.

It took a little bit of time to get my settings to how I like them but once these were set in place it was very easy to use my apps and all the functionalities. It fits perfectly in my pocket and easy to take out and use the full screen but still can use the necessary functionalities when folded. The operating system was smooth and fast and very easy to move between the apps and use my productivity tools. I was worried it but not be durable and could be flimsy and weak in places but this was not the case. The next time I upgrade I will get the Fold phone as I am more confident in its design and durability.

My issue with phones is that I keep them in my jeans front pocket and eventually, corner of the phone starts to wear through the jeans, so when this phone came out, I immediately wanted one. The phone was beautifully packaged in a minimalist black box and the packaging is small enough to fit through a normal letterbox. The phone itself is packed unfolded, I think this is so that stress isn't placed on the screen whilst it's in storage waiting to be sold. The box contains the phone itself, a sim card tool and a USB-C to USB-C cable. The design of the phone is beautiful. The fit and finish is perfect, with all the lines lining up as they should. The camera lenses protrude a little bit, but not uncomfortably so. On startup, the phone had 50% battery and easily guided me through transferring my data from my older android phone simply by scanning a QR code. Scanning the code transfers you WiFi settings and you're given the option to transfer your data using WiFi or the included USB-C cable. Transfer time will vary depending on what you choose to transfer over and how much data you have. If like me, you want a small phone, but also a good screen on which to consume content, I would not hesitate to give this a try.

Awful design! Purchased as I loved the look of the Flip 5, however it was a BIG mistake!! I have had nothing but problems and trying to arrange a repair is near impossible. Hinge faulty so phone does not sit flat and rocks like a boat when on a flat surface. The fold line across the middle of the phone is now very sharp too. The phone is 12 months old and been like this for a while. Battery life unworkable. Not the quality or service you would expect from a Samsung product. Stuck with this for another 2 years, due to being in a contract! ☹️

The screen clarity and brightness are very good. You can feel a bit of a ridge where the fold is however you soon get used to it. The size of the phone is ideal both folded and unfolded. All in all its a good phone that suits my needs well. I've now had chance to test the Z flip 5 and at first I thought it was more or less the same but the rear screen being bigger makes the world of difference. It makes taking photos so much easier. I find I often just use the small screen to view my messages and then open it up to reply if needed. All in all I much prefer the Z flip 5.

The unboxing experience was incredibly clean, and it helped make the device feel premium. You are just give the phone and a charging cable in the box, so be ready for that. Booting up the phone for the first time was great, and the screen feels incredibly tall, especially when compared to my old phone. Set up was a breeze until I need to transfer from my old phone. It took a few attempts to get it to connect via the cable, and even then it kept telling me that it would take up too much space on the Flip 4, even though my old phone was only 64GB. I was at least able to download my contacts using the cloud transfer option, and it did send through my applications list. After setting up, I was finally able to start playing around. The phone is nice and smooth to use, and with the extra tall screen, it makes apps like Twitter and Instagram feel better to use with the increased content on the screen. The camera is easy to use and the photos are pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to take anything of worth at this point, but I'll be sure to put it through it's paces. That first fold is nerve racking. It feels so unnatural at first to be folding your mobile phone in half. But this quickly goes away with each fold and now it feels natural. The front screen is cool and displays useful information, but it couldn't read any messages that came through, so its utility isn't as versatile as I thought going in. It might just be that I need to set something up. Overall, my immediate impressions are the phone feels great to use, nice and compact when folded. I'm looking forward to getting fully stuck in and using the phone properly over the coming weeks. The Z Flip 5 is quite simply a marvelous device. From it's stylish new colours (I opted for the exclusive yellow) to it's new cover screen, it stands out as an amazing upgrade from previous generations. And talking about that cover screen, it is amazing how much versatility the extra screen real estate brings to the device. Being able to reply to messages from the cover screen, with no need to flip the phone open, really helps speed interactions up during a busy work day. It also does wonders for the batter life as you no longer have to power that inner screen for the small interactions. And using the cover screen for selfies is sublime. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a flip phone.

I got the phone and it won't pair up to my car phoned samsung 5 times ever time get it to work goes off once I get of the phone to samsung must be a faulty one and won't pick up Internet when I'm out and about won't change songs eighter. I'm really missed of paying 4 a new phone and it not working properly plus have time 2 spend all day on phone to samsung. First day 2 hours 45 mins between o2 and samsung. The last day was 2 hours. So all I want is another phone how hard is that. My phone is brand new and not working right

I really love(d) this phone, I no longer have it because I wanted a phone with longer battery life, but I am considering buying it again because I miss it so much. the phone I have now seems to have the same battery even though its bigger. the pictures were lovely and although it dropped and broke, samsung quickly fixed it for me. I love how compact it was and I actually used it less because of the flipping design, which was great for me. I would definitely buy it again, especially if the battery somehow could be expanded
I recommended this product.

After just 3 weeks of using my flip5 2 fine lines appeared on the screen just where the phone folded. After calling Samsung to complain they advice they will replace it. But to replace it I had to send mine to them and now I have to wait 2 weeks without a phone, even though they have got my money. My husband did say not to buy one because they are rubbish but I liked the shape. To say that I'm angry for having to wait 2 weeks without a phone it's not enough said. Definitely wouldn't advise anyone to buy one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's taken just a few days to get used to the change from a standard smartphone but I'm loving it, it was well worth the learning curve. My previous phone to the Flip 5 was the Samsung Galaxy S22 and I'm a big Samsung user, I got the orginal Galaxy S1 and was bowled over then. The Flip 5 is just the perfect device, it fits in my hand folded very well, proud to hold it when i'm out and about, I know it's got lots of protection against knocks and moisture so another plus, oh my there so many pluses. My hands are small enough to message on the front screen which is so great, the other widgets are surprisingly useful, loads of customisation and that is just the front. Opening up you have this crisp clear screen, I call it my cinemascope screen. There's a lot to keep you busy with this phone. What more could you ask for.

I wanted Z flip model since it came out . I wated patient untill now hopping the "teething " problems would be resolved by now . Unfortunately, despite being protected by the case, small pieces of metal chipped off by the fold . I didn't notice it ,closed the phone only to find out that it pierced the screen, resulting in black dot and green line across the screen. I love the phone and very careful with it .But if something like this happened after a 2 months

I really love how compact it is in my pocket, it now feels like a bizarre concept NOT to fold to phone in half inti a handy size haha!! The front screen is really handy to use the calculator, make calls, and use the alarm clock without having to open it up at all!! As with all Samsungs I've had it's very touch responsive and fast, and has a decent camera!! As a first time flip phone owner the hinge resilience test is still to come, but I love it so far!!

Easy Flipping, perfect in my hand. Love the way I answer my calls by just flipping over. The cover screen is nice for quick and simple tasks like checking weather, calendar, notifications, messaging and mamy more. This is completely customisable so I can choose the apps I want to see here. The smart switch made my life easy to transfer over almost everything from my old samsung phone. The camera quality is impressive with 12MP back cameras and a 10MP front camera. The battery charges quickly but depend on what charger is used, it lasts reasonably well with a small battery. 3 years warranty is an added bonus and peace of mind. Overall it's a great phone and I love it, couldn't resist myself to show-off..!!

I was sceptical about flip phones, however when Samsung announced about new-Flip 5 I thought its time to give a try-and I pleased to say that I’m not disappointed and absolutely loving my new Z Flip 5. Very easy to set up & control the phone and the most important feature of Flip 5 is the size! Finally I managed to keep my phone inside the pocket without half showing. I love taking pictures; therefore camera’s features were very important to me, as well as use of camera. Such us: timing, easy taking self-portrait photograph/ selfie’s, taking photos while making video. The camera quality and features is 10of10. Overall, its positive impression and I’m very pleased with my new Flip5, also getting many positive comments and praises from friends and co-workers. Highly recommend it!

Updates from the ZFlip 4 mean that it no longer has a hinge gap when closed and the new front cover screen allows many functions of the phone to be accessed without even needing to open the phone. Phone is fast, powerful and battery life is a reasonable 2 days unless you are a heavy user. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've recently got an upgrade from Z Flip 4 to Z Flip 5. The cover screen is the biggest advantage I can see from the new phone. I am very excited to be able to use it for more functions like maps, texting, etc. I hope there will be more apps added in the future to maximise the potential of usage for the cover screen, as it means I will not always have to flip the phone open and surely that means longer battery life. The other nice thing is the no gap design in the Z Flip 5 when the phone is folded. It is small change but actually make the phone looks a lot more sleek and improve the screen protection from dust and dirt. On the other hand, there aren't much new features that make me wow, Z Flip 5 still has the same battery capacity, camera, main screen's display, etc. It will be great to see some big changes in the next model so that it's worth the upgrade.

Fingerprint reader unreliable, doesn’t recognise face most times. Google assistant won’t work when phone closed, even by using hack of uninstalling updates to Google App, works then doesn’t. Have to use Bixby, which isn’t the best. Ok beyond that, lucky it’s a second phone, wouldn’t use as main phone too frustrating. Even google pay can be troublesome so switched to Samsung Pay, not compatible with all banks in UK.

I have had my phone for a year and 1 month I am very carful with it and looked after it really well. Woke up this morning and along the fold my phone has lines and spot like it has been damaged from being folded and open. I love my phone but feel that only after a year of owning it the screen should not just get damaged for no reason especially when I've looked after it really well and ensured to not cause damage.

Don't even consider purchasing a Z Flip5 Seven months after purchasing, the foldable screen cracked through the middle when I opened one too many times. Samsung have gotten out of their responsibilities of replacing the screen as there is a 1mm mark on the phone, and so are saying it is out of warranty. They have admitted there is a manufacturing issue with the phone on more than one occasion

I was looking at getting a new phone as mine tend to to have a three to four year life cycle. I tried other makes with similar screens etc but this felt much more sturdy and I paired it with the watch 6 classic. I'm very happy with it, it is sturdy and the battery lasts the day no matter what I have been doing. Charging is very quick and the customisation options for actions has allowed me to set it up exactly as I want. The screens are comfortable to look at and use and Samsung do supply options to further enhance use of the outer screen although this becomes a necessity to access some apps without opening your phone. In this area I am looking forward to seeing how @samsunguk evolve the use and offerings for the outer screen. Storage is good and along with connectivity and battery charging speeds I am very happy with it. Besides who doesn't love being able to flip a phone closed to end a call.

the screen just stopped working and Samsung don't oblige their warranty if there is even a. slight scratch to the case- unethical and on the verge of illegal as against the consumer right acts which says mobile phone less than 2 years are covered if faulty but Samsung will claim anything to get out of this- I'd avoid them again for this reason. A really unreasonable company

I was on the fence about this phone, but decided to pull the trigger on the impulse! Slightly disappointing is the number of features for the second screen, especially when open there seems only to be the photo preview where it shows your subject what they look like. The day to day use of the phone is extremely enjoyable, with the hinge feature being both satisfying and sturdy. The phone is actually extremely powerful, able to easily run games. The screen's aspect ratio is surprisinglg good for wide screen movies etc. One feature I really enjoy is the separation from your phone when closed. The physical movement to open and access the device is a psychological and physical barrier to overuse, which I really enjoy. Finally, the crease in the middle of the screen is not noticeable when looking at the screen dead on, or unless you touch it (which is surprisingly infrequent). Would be nice to see this even less in future models.
