How do I use my Samsung Galaxy device as a torch or flashlight?

The location of the torch or flashlight function on your device will depend on the make and model of your device.

 

Older devices and operating systems will have the torch function available as a widget; newer devices will have the torch available in the notifications bar.

 

Adding the torch using WidgetsClick to Expand
1 Tap and hold on an empty space on the Home screen until options appear

3 Navigate to, and tap and hold on Torch or Flashlight to drag it onto your home screen.

2 Choose the Torch icon to turn the light on or off

(If the Torch icon is not displayed immediately, choose the Expand button (this can be displayed as an arrow pointing down or  two lines)

You can adjust the torch brightness in the torch menu, accessed via the notification panel.
