What is the meaning of XEU in the serial number of my Samsung Blu-ray player?

The last three characters after the backslash in the serial number of your Samsung Blu-ray player stand for the region or countries where the player is designated to be sold.

XEU stands for European Union (United Kingdom) version. It means that a Blu-ray player with XEU in its serial number is supplied with equipment such as manuals, cables, etc. suitable for use in European Union (United Kingdom).

For example

XEF indicates French version

XEG indicates German version

NOTE: Different versions (e.g. XAA stands for United States version) might have different features not available in all countries.
