Seamlessly copy and paste across Galaxy devices with Internet or Notes app

Effortlessly transfer text, images, or videos between your Galaxy phone, tablet, or laptop using the "Continue on other devices" feature. Simply copy content on one device and paste it onto any connected device with ease.

Note:-

  • Screens and Images simulated
  • Sequences are shortened; an internet connection is required
  • This feature works primarily with Samsung apps like Internet and Notes
  • User must register the same Samsung account across the devices
  • Feature availability may vary by region, model and product

Make sure your Galaxy devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, have Bluetooth turned on and are logged into the same Samsung account.

On your Galaxy devices, go to Settings > Connected devices > Continue on other devices* > Enable it.         

*Feature name may vary by model and One UI version

Using Notes app

1 Open the Gallery app on the device where you want to copy an image file

2 Tap on Copy to clipboard to copy the image file.

3 A message will appear on both devices indicating the content is ready to be pasted.

4 Open the Notes app on the device where you want to paste the image.

5 Tap the New note icon

6 Then tap & hold in the note section and select Paste.

7 The image file will be successfully pasted onto the other device.

Using Internet app

1 Open the Internet app on the device where you want to copy a URL.

2 Tap on Copy the URL to paste it onto another device.

3 A message will appear on both devices indicating the URL is ready to be pasted.

4 Open the Internet app on another device that you want to paste, then Paste the URL.

Note: When you open the Internet app on another device, a pop-up will appear prompting you to open the copied URL. Simply tap the pop-up to proceed.

5 You can now browse using the same URL on the other device.

Wi-Fi networks

Wi-Fi networks you have used on your phone or tablet will also appear on your other devices. Tap the network to connect automatically without entering the password.

Camera Continuity

Take pictures and scan documents or handwriting on your phone or tablet, then continue working on them on another device such as a tablet or laptop.

1 Open an image from the Gallery, then tap Copy to clipboard to share it across devices.

2 On the other device, go to the Album, tap on Paste from clipboard.
