Last Update Date : Mar 21. 2018

Samsung Smart TV’s provides freedom to access internet and its application. Video streaming is multimedia that is constantly received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered by a provider. Its verb form, "to stream", refers to the process of delivering media in this manner. The term refers to the delivery method of the medium rather than the medium itself. YouTube is the most common application when we talk about video streaming. It provides access to various variety of content which can be streamed by using high speed internet in Samsung TV’s.

( Video Streaming in one second )

Bitrate refers to the number of bits or the amount of data that are processed over a certain amount of time. In Video, this usually means kilobits per second. For example, the video you play on Youtube is 512 kilobits per second, meaning there are 512 kilobits of data stored in every second of a video.

Taking an example :

The Indian broadband average of 3.9 Mbps you would probably want to encode somewhere between 2,000 and 3,000 Kbps. (1 Megabit equals 1,024 Kilobits most encoders measure bitrate in Kilobits). What this means is that every second of the video there is 2,000 kilobits required before that second can be displayed. Converting bits to bytes (8 bits equals 1 byte) you can see this is 250 kilobytes a second or 15 megabytes per minute.
