Hi BooAppleBooThem, Thank you for sharing your experience. Please know that you can customize your Home screens by installing, removing or adding your favorite apps to Apps Home and/or For You Home screen. Here's how: Searching for & Installing Apps 1. From the Home screen, press up on the remote’s directional pad. 2. Navigate to and select Search. 3. Using the search bar, enter the content or app you’d like to find. 4. Navigate to and select the app you’d like to install, then select Install. Note: Previously installed apps can be accessed on the Settings screen. Adding & Managing Apps on Home Screen 1. Go to App Settings (these can be found at the bottom of the Apps screen) and select the app you want to move. The following options will be available: a. Add to Home: Move the app to your desired location on the Home screen. b. Delete: Delete app. c. Lock/Unlock: Lock the app with a PIN so only you can use it. When the app is selected again, you will be prompted to enter the PIN to unlock it. d. Reinstall: Reinstall the app. e. View Details: View the app’s information and details. Regarding the remote, while it may appear minimal at first glance, many of the buttons are designed with dual or long-press functions to help reduce clutter without sacrificing functionality. For example: • Volume rocker: Push UP/DOWN to adjust volume; press and release quickly to MUTE. • Long-press Volume button: Hold for more than 1 second to access Accessibility Shortcuts. • RETURN button: Press to go back to the previous screen or menu; when watching TV, it takes you back to the previous channel. These combined functions help create a cleaner design while keeping everything you need just a button away. If you ever need help with your remote or want to learn more shortcuts, we’re here to assist. Hi Michael bridges ii, We appreciate your feedback on the U8000H TV. For optimal performance, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware. You can check this by going to: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update To further optimize performance, try running Device Care, which checks memory, clears unused cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care If you are noticing buffering issues during streaming we recommend the following steps to help improve streaming performance: 1. Use a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection, if available 2. Try a wired LAN connection for more stability 3. Reposition your router to minimize obstacles between it and the TV We hope these tips are helpful. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun), or reach us via text anytime. Hi Headhunter, Thank you for your feedback. If your HDMI ports are not working properly, please try the following: 1. Check Source & Connections • Confirm the source: Use the remote to make sure the TV is set to the correct input. Go to: Home > Left directional key > Connected Devices > Sources • Verify connections: Ensure all external devices (like a cable box or Blu-ray player) are powered on and securely connected via HDMI. Try switching to a different HDMI port or using another cable to rule out a faulty connection. For best results, we recommend using a High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet (HEAC) – this helps support 4K video and audio from most modern external devices. • Power cycle the TV: Unplug it from the wall for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in. 2. Update Your TV Software: Make sure your TV is running the latest firmware: Home > Left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update 3. Signal & Broadcast Checks (Especially important if you're using a cable box or antenna) • Check signal strength: Home > Left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Broadcast Signal • Run Auto Program: Home > Left directional key > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Broadcasting > Auto Program 4. Advanced Troubleshooting • HDMI Test: Home > Left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > HDMI Test • Try a different device: Connect another external device to the same HDMI port to see if the issue persists. • Check the power source: Make sure the TV is plugged into a working outlet. If using a surge protector, try plugging directly into the wall. • Factory reset (if needed): As a last resort, reset the TV to default settings. (Note: this will erase your preferences.) If you’ve tried all the above and still see “No Signal,” please reach out to Samsung Support further assistance at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun), or reach us via text anytime. Hi AmyRL, We appreciate your feedback regarding your U8000H TV’s performance. If you're experiencing freezing or lag in general response time, please try the following steps: 1. Check for firmware updates – Keeping your TV up to date can resolve many performance issues: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now 2. Run Device Care – This tool checks system memory, frees up cached data, and closes background apps that could be slowing things down: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care 3. Cold boot your TV – With the TV powered on, press and hold the Power button on your remote for 5+ seconds until the TV restarts. This helps refresh the system. If you're still noticing performance snags after these steps, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Hi Tommy, It’s unfortunate to hear you’re having trouble powering on your U8000H TV. Please try these steps: 1. Power cord check: Ensure the TV’s power cord is securely connected at both ends and not visibly damaged. 2. Wall outlet check: Plug the TV directly into a working wall outlet (not a surge protector or power strip) and look for the red standby light near the bottom edge of the TV. o Solid red light: Press the power button on the TV (underneath the Samsung logo) or use the remote. o No light: The TV isn’t getting power. o Blinking light: The TV may require service. 3. Test the remote: If the standby light is on but the TV won’t power on with the remote, try using the power button on the TV itself. 4. If the TV turns on but there’s no picture, try pressing the Home button. If the menu appears, check for correct source selection or potential external device issues. If the issue continues, please reach out so we can help with further diagnostics or service. Call Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun), or chat with us online via the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor

Hi Mrsd, Thank you for your feedback on the Samsung U8000H TV. If the picture appears unclear, dull, or lacks definition, there are several settings you can adjust to improve clarity and overall image quality. Go to: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings, and review these key settings: Picture Clarity Settings: While originally intended for motion handling, these can also impact overall clarity • Off: Disables motion enhancements • Auto: Automatically adjusts based on content • Custom: Lets you fine-tune: o Judder Reduction – Helps smooth out uneven motion o LED Clear Motion – Boosts sharpness in fast-moving content o Noise Reduction – Reduces distortion and enhances detail in lower-resolution sources Core Picture Settings • Brightness – Controls overall screen brightness • Contrast – Enhances the difference between bright and dark areas • Sharpness – Adjusts edge definition; closer to 20 increases detail • Color – Enhances depth and intensity of colors And don’t forget to check for the latest firmware, which may improve performance: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now These adjustments can make a noticeable difference in overall clarity. If you need further help tailoring the settings to your preferences or environment, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Hi katjac, We value your feedback regarding the response time of your U8000H TV. For the best performance, please ensure the latest firmware version is installed: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update You can also improve responsiveness by running the built-in Device Care tool, which checks system memory, clears cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care Please know you can control your connected devices (like cable boxes, Blu-ray players, or game consoles) using your U8000H TV’s remote by following these steps: 1. Connect & Power On the Device Connect the external device to one of your TV’s HDMI ports and power it on. Your TV may automatically detect the device and switch inputs. If it doesn’t, continue with the steps below. 2. Launch Universal Remote Setup. On your TV, navigate to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Universal Remote Setup. When the connected device appears, select it to begin setup. 3. Start the Setup. Select Universal Remote on the Home screen, choose Start, and ensure your device is powered on. When your desired device appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions. Setup may vary slightly based on device type. 4. Finalize and Test. Once complete, your Samsung TV and remote will remember the connected device and its HDMI port. If the device doesn’t respond after setup, you may need to re-register it or adjust its position for better signal reception. Helpful Tips: • If your external device is a Samsung product, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) may let you control it automatically using your TV remote with no extra setup. • Make sure nothing blocks the IR signal between your TV and external devices. • If you’re having difficulty, try adjusting the device’s position for better remote signal reception. • This feature may not be supported on all external devices or setups. For further support with setup or compatibility questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun).
