Hi Kodiakvic, Thank you for sharing your concerns. If your TV is announcing everything you do, the Voice Guide feature is likely turned on. This is an accessibility function designed to assist users who are visually impaired, and it may have been activated accidentally by holding down the Volume button on your remote. To turn off Voice Guide, go to: Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings > Voice Guide = OFF If there's anything else we can assist with, please don't hesitate to contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Hi Michael bridges ii, We appreciate your feedback on the U8000H TV. For optimal performance, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware. You can check this by going to: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update To further optimize performance, try running Device Care, which checks memory, clears unused cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care If you are noticing buffering issues during streaming we recommend the following steps to help improve streaming performance: 1. Use a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection, if available 2. Try a wired LAN connection for more stability 3. Reposition your router to minimize obstacles between it and the TV We hope these tips are helpful. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun), or reach us via text anytime. Netguru, We appreciate your feedback regarding your U8000H TV’s performance. If you're experiencing freezing or lag in general response time, please try the following steps: 1. Check for firmware updates – Keeping your TV up to date can resolve many performance issues: Home > top directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now 2. Run Device Care – This tool checks system memory, frees up cached data, and closes background apps that could be slowing things down: Home > top directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care 3. Cold boot your TV – With the TV powered on, press and hold the Power button on your remote for 5+ seconds until the TV restarts. This helps refresh the system. If you're still noticing performance snags after these steps, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). You can also connect with a LiveChat agent via the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Specialist

Autorun Samsung TV Plus – Automatically launches Samsung TV Plus when the TV is turned on. If this option is turned off, the last used source will be displayed instead. 3. Autorun Multi View Casting – If you cast YouTube content from your mobile device, the TV will automatically display the content using Multi View. 4. Autorun Multi View Mirroring – When you screen mirror your mobile device, Multi View will automatically open to show your device’s screen. 5. Hi katjac, We value your feedback regarding the response time of your U8000H TV. For the best performance, please ensure the latest firmware version is installed: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update You can also improve responsiveness by running the built-in Device Care tool, which checks system memory, clears cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care Please know you can control your connected devices (like cable boxes, Blu-ray players, or game consoles) using your U8000H TV’s remote by following these steps: 1. Connect & Power On the Device Connect the external device to one of your TV’s HDMI ports and power it on. Your TV may automatically detect the device and switch inputs. If it doesn’t, continue with the steps below. 2. Launch Universal Remote Setup. On your TV, navigate to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Universal Remote Setup. When the connected device appears, select it to begin setup. 3. Start the Setup. Select Universal Remote on the Home screen, choose Start, and ensure your device is powered on. When your desired device appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions. Setup may vary slightly based on device type. 4. Finalize and Test. Once complete, your Samsung TV and remote will remember the connected device and its HDMI port. If the device doesn’t respond after setup, you may need to re-register it or adjust its position for better signal reception. Helpful Tips: • If your external device is a Samsung product, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) may let you control it automatically using your TV remote with no extra setup. • Make sure nothing blocks the IR signal between your TV and external devices. • If you’re having difficulty, try adjusting the device’s position for better remote signal reception. • This feature may not be supported on all external devices or setups. For further support with setup or compatibility questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Update firmware: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now 6. Factory reset (if needed): Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Reset > Factory Data Reset If you continue to experience issues, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Hi Mary, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the available inputs for the U8000H. If an Optical port is a crucial part of your setup needs, you’ll find that connection starting with our QN70F Series and above. You can also connect external devices via HDMI or Bluetooth. For future purchases, we recommend double-checking the product specs on Samsung's site to ensure the model you choose has the ports you need. You can find this by clicking on “Specs” (just beneath the Product Title), then "See All Specs" for the full list of available inputs and more: https://www.samsung.com/us/tvs/uhd-4k-tv/50-inch-crystal-uhd-4k-tv-u8000h-sku-un50u8000hfxza/ Should you ever need assistance with your TV, Samsung is here for you. Reach out by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). You can also chat with us online by visiting the ‘Support’ section of our website. ~ Samsung Advisor
