Powerbot Essential 2-in-1 Vacuum Cleaning & Mopping Ebony Black

I bought this a week ago. It vacuums pretty well. It picks up small prices of rubbish which is great. This is on tiles though. It got stuck once it reached the carpet. Would not recommend for a house with carpet floor. The mop is ok.

2.5 hour cleaning time...good enough for a vacuum...

After owning two robotic vacuums this one is superbly better than the first (different) brand I tried. I love how this one goes under furniture completely, actually goes around my Corgi that is constantly getting in its way and the amount of dog hair it picks up. The only problem I have found thus far - and to be honest I haven't researched to find if there is a solution yet - is it runs out of battery before it goes back "home" to charge. It more than likely is operator error. I love the design, the look and how simple it was to set it up and get it running. Great!

works well on hard floor but doesnt work on carpets, i think brush not soft enougth for it, get jammed and stuck

Very impressed with this robotic vacuum! It's a huge time-saver and our floors are now cleaner than ever. The first time we ran the PowerBot (shortly after vacuuming the house) it picked up a full container of dust that had been missed. It works well on our wood floors as well as bathroom tile and bedroom carpets. It's fast and easy to empty. We run it about 3 times a week, and it can cover a large downstairs area on a single charge. When the battery is low it returns to base to recharge.

Hands-down this is the best looking robotic vacuum. It also has the muscle to go along with the looks. It has a powerful suction and does a great job at cleaning. Navigation , tough best in the industry, does not work effectively in some conditions. I have a very open layout on my first floor, around 1600+ sqft, mostly hardwood , except for carpet in living room with 18ft high ceilings. Due to lack of doors and difference in ceiling heights, it goes all around the floor, missing some parts of a room in the process. hopefully the missed area will be covered in next run. I can see that in second floor , where I have my bedrooms, it navigates expertly, doing one room at a time, with neat visible lines like a ball park. These are my first impressions and will update my review if something changes.

I am 62 years old and disabled with spinal stenosis . Cleaning my house wasn’t possible . Not anymore I just turn on my vacuum and it does the work for me . Anyone in wheelchair or have other disabilities truly needs to have one of these vacuums . This is not a luxury this is a necessity . My daughter called the vacuum Rosie that’s because anyone thats watched the Jetsons knows that’s the name of the robot that cleans the house . It’s truly a lifesaver for me and no more house cleaners .

Bought several months ago, quite disappointed. Goes around, but everything is a hazard, everything needs to be cleared from its path or it will get stuck

Used it on the kitchen and outside area of my house with no problems. The mopping feature left some spots behind. It did not work on my dark carpeted area. I had to cover the bottom sensors with paper then it did a fine job. The product is a bit expensive to not work on dark surfaces.

This saves me so much time. I can just turn it on and let it go. It does an excellent job getting the floors clean. I didn't really think it was going to do as good of a job as it does. Also did not realize how much time I spent sweeping and vacuuming. Only improvements I think should be made are that it does not get close to the walls and I wish it had an app or a way to set it for a regular cleaning schedule.

This is our first robotic vac. I was concerned it would get trapped all over the house but much to my surprise it finds it's way all over without any problem and finds it's way back to the charger even though it is tucked back behind a chair. The only problem has been with a bathroom rug that gets stuck in it so we either pick up the rug or shut the bathroom door and have not had further problems.

this review is after second powerbot essential died on me after warranty expired. 2 years of service is not enough to qualify the price paid. i should not have bought the second one after my first died, but i thought it was a fluke. after the second vacuum died, i'm pretty sure it is just a bad manufacturing. no samsung vacuums for me anymore. probably no samsung products for me as well.

The first 2 weeks, it started piling the dust outside the waste box, I had to collect the dust manually once a while, I had to take it to the dealer, who can't speak a word of English, to fix it. The mop is useless, it does nothing and after working for a short time, it got disconnected from the vac. I spent money for nothing . The app is not very effective. Don't buy it.

The main mapping features and automation are to work via the app...if your wifi is 5G it will not connect to either the Samsung Smart Home or Powebot E app. So I returned it as it was just not cleaning the house, went around in vague circles. Will not climb a rug either. Disappointment as I have a Samsung phone and quite a few appliances (TV, fridge, watch etc) .

This vacuum has been terrific! We have two golden retrievers who shed constantly. Letting this unit run around every couple of days allows our house to remain free of "floating" dog hair and saves us time by not having to do it ourselves. In the next development of these I hope they have a "slightly" larger hopper for those of us with constantly shedding pets!!!

Very nice everything works as expected but very little delay in response that was fixed after connecting to different wifi

It just may be our home floor plan ( a large single story w/central rotunda attaching three hallways and 5 bedrooms) but POWERbot gets lost in the maze. The Bot's camera sensor navigation seems an an inadequate technology. The Bot really has some great suction, powerful drive wheels and a large see through easy to empty debris canister, although too tall to fit under a sofa. After the battery charge (20 minutes) is depleted the Bot performs search and rescue wall hugging to find its way back to the charger and may not make it back. It is rare for it to go directly back to the charging station. The restart at last position vacuumed feature following recharging doesn't work if the Bot was carried back to the charger and the voyage begins over again. We close doors to section off the house and that seems to help a little. Samsung may consider future versions using SmartThings (ST) wall-wort communications or GPS tech to help the Bot localize itself.

It’s a very good product! I have it since 2 days and it cleans every spot. It’s not very easy to connect to the app but I did it and now it works perfectly, even my cat loves it ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ People are giving bad reviews just because they don’t know how to use it :( Just ask someone who is good with electronics in ur family.

Absolutely useless app for a useless brand. I bought 2 robot cleaners VR50 and can't connect them to my mobile for 4 days. Tech support up to level 2 are useless too. I have Deebot for 3 months. It was breeze to connect and operate. I will return both machines 1st thing tomorrow. Never Samsung again.

Ok as a Vaccum but no good as a mop. Couldn’t hook up to phone. I’ll take it back and buy a iRobot but they break too after sales service are bad with iRobot too but over having dirty floors. Had a Samsung fridge the icebox caught fire I’ll never buy anything Samsung again.

This robot vacuum is a kick to watch and it does a better job of cleaning than I expected. I am partially disabled and "Sammie" is a godsend. Part of the fun is trying to find him in one of my rooms when he gets lost looking for the base and shuts down.

I HAVE HAD THIS FOR A MONTH AND USED IT ABOUT 20 TIMES AND IT JUST STOPPED WORKING I LIKE THE PRODUCT , BUT I'M WONDERING IF THIS WILL HOLD UP OVER TIME? AS I HAVE TO SEND IN FOR WARRANTY OF THIS PRODUCT ALREADY?

I looked around between a few brands, Samsung brand is by far the most effective, by running passes in lines not all over the place. Recommended for anyone. By far exceeded my expectations.

I run my Powerbot every day, and each time I clean it, I get a lot of dust and dirt in the dustbin. My floors and carpet have never looked so good. My house is now so clean.

have only had ours for a couple weeks but have noticed the pet hair and fine dust filling up the dirt chamber. we didn't know what we were missing before we got our robot.

Poor battery life- always needs recharging Poor suction- have to use the device 2-3 times to clean the carpet. Poor mapping- easily becomes stuck on furniture

JUST GOT OUR POWERBOT TODAY AND SO FAR ITS GREAT. ITS CLEANED ONE WHOLE FLOOR ON A FULL BATTERY AND DIDNT FALL DOWN THE STAIRS OR MESS UP ANY FURNITURE.

The only thing missing with this is a feature that lets you set a time for beginning, for instance at night, while you are sleeping.

The powerbot does a good job cleaning, but is not made for small apartments or for places with many obstacles.

Bought this as a gift. They love it. We enjoy watching it work around the house. The pets love it as well.

This robotic vac does a good job, better then my upright.

We have had our Powerbot for a week now. It has been great. This is the first automatic vac we've had and we've been really surprised about its performance. On hardwood floors it works great navigating and cleaning. We have a Golden Retriever so the canister fills with fur and needs to be emptied after each use. Since we have two levels of floors, it needs to be moved manually between levels. One comment is there is not an easy handle to carry the 10 pound unit. As to the stairs between the levels, the cliff sensor works great and I have no worries that it will "go over a cliff". On carpets it performed much better than our upright. It seems like the slow speed and meticulous patterns of the Powerbot really deep cleans the carpet. We ran it about 5 times to thoroughly clean the carpet. Now the carpet feels much lighter and fluffier. It did pick up a tremendous amount of fur. Things we noticed other than the handle for carrying. Edge cleaning may not be its forte as it does not consistently head totally into the baseboard to clean and stands off from the baseboard when running parallel. The sensors work very well. The unit finds the charging station well on the hardwood floor but has difficulty when we have it on carpet. We are very close to rating this a 5, but we'd reserve that for the perfect unit.

This is a great robot vacuum. After having owned it for about 4 months, I feel I'm finally ready to give it a fair review. This is not a total replacement to your regular vacuum, rather a supplement. It has places where it shines and places where it just doesn't hit the mark. Pros: Does an incredible job picking up dust and dog hair. The first time we ran it was after vacuuming with a Kirby upright. Clearly the robot does a better job than I do. We emptied the dust cup twice on the first level and 3 times on the second level. We consistently get a full dust cup on each level when we run it. It does a pretty good job of getting all of the square footage without missing anything. Some days are better than others, but does a pretty good job. Doesn't get stuck as long as you do a little pick-up prior to running. Does a pretty good job maneuvering around objects left in the path. If you want nice, straight vacuum lines though, pick up! Cons: Will not completely replace your vacuum if you have a lot of tighter pile area rugs. This unit really shines on wood floors and wall-to-wall carpeting. Area rugs are a little harder. If you have an area rug with a black border, it will not be able to vacuum it at all, so keep your cannister vac handy for routine cleaning. Can fit under taller furniture, but doesn't get all the way under your cabinets. You get used to the prep and it still beats having to do all of it yourself. Overall, we don't use our upright vacuum hardly at all. Still use the cannister vac for area rugs, or for baseboards, stairs, etc. It cuts a whole lot of time and effort from your weekly cleaning. The extra filter makes it easier to clean out the cup and run again when the battery is charged without having to wait for the filter to dry. Cleaning the brush is easy and straight-forward. Overall, very happy with the purchase. I hope the unit lasts a long time.

Well i have had this vacuum now for about a day and it has run a couple rounds now and i am very happy with it but there is some things that need work to make this the perfect appliance. First of all i have noticed that debris will not be separated if they are a little longer and bend a little like pieces of paper or pine needles .I also noticed that even while the container is round dust and dirt have a habit of accumulate in the back of it and fill up the 1st compartment very quick (i think it has to do with the metal piece in the middle of the 1st compartment and it seems that as it sucks up more dirt it will clog the little suction hole from the pickup Another thing that really annoys me with this device is when the battery is depleted it not only shuts off the vacuum motor it also disables part of the navigation system since the robot seems to go into a Dumb-mode and only uses a couple pre programmed patterns to find it's way home which seem to also be timed . What happens is that the robot when in find home mode runs a pattern for 25 to 30 seconds then stops and restarts the same pattern over and over which causes the robot to run in circles and be stuck in a loop. Only way to make it find home is to intervene by putting a foot down since it seems only the corner sensors are still active . Now back to how great this robot is despite the 2 little flaws i found so far from which the canister is the more pressing issue here the navigation can be dealt with to accommodate the robot's stupid Find home pattern It is amazing how the robot navigates when all the sensors and the camera are active but it seems to have some issues with certain colors It does not like paper cartons with a light brown color and it also has issues with a shiny dark brown The Wheels on this robot are well designed and have a lot of traction ... it would have been nice if the rear wheel would have some rubber too so it would be easier to clean it since dirt for some reason accumulates a lot more on bare plastic then on rubber wheels The robot is not overly noisy and is a little quieter then the roomba's It also seems that thee is not a big difference between the copper version and the essential model as a matter of fact i think If i can find a way to get into the brain of this lil buddy i can make some changes to the vacuum motor control i can get the same performance then the copper version since i think it's the same motor and controller just a different power band since i can hear the motor cranking up to higher rpm every once in a while when it thinks that it is getting on carpet . But i will find out as soon as i find a way to dump the firmware All in all this lil robot is sweet and performs just fine but i think we have to tinker a little bit to find out what really can be done with these and since i doubt that samsung made the whole firmware open source there is only one way to find out what else is hidden in this lil device and that is to dump the firmware and have a good look I can without a doubt recommend this robot and i am sure it will serve you well until the batteries go bad (siriously samsung you claim 1 year warranty but only give the batteries a 6 month warranty which is cleverly hidden and not mentioned anywhere but the manual in japanese Bonzai writing ....NOT COOL) Oh one more thing samsung ...... Would it have killed you guys if you would have given this lil gizmo a auto turn on timer so it starts vacuuming at a given time of day and on certain days? it would be nice if someone from samsung could email me to let me know if it is possible to use the sensors for data communication since it is obviously able to recieve a signal from the base station
